1,3-Diene architectures are not only widely present in natural products, pharmaceuticals, and functional organic materials but also serve as versatile building blocks to furnish important functionalized molecules in synthetic chemistry due to conjugated repeating C=C units. Accordingly, various strategies to access substituted 1,3-dienes in a stereoselective manner have been developed. However, chemo-, regio-and stereoselective synthesis of highly substituted 1,3-dienes still remains elusive and challenging. Readily available propargylic esters have emerged as an appealing class of synthetic intermediates for accessing functionalized 1,3-dienes, especially challenging tri-or tetrasubstituted variants, via transition-metal catalysis, including electrophilic metal and redox neutral catalysis. This review, for the first time, systematically highlights recent advances in transitionmetal catalyzed synthesis of substituted 1,3-dienes from propargylic esters, discusses the mechanisms and synthetic utilities, and gives the remaining challenges and potential opportunities in this field.

This study investigates the influence of high-current pulsed electron beam(HCPEB)modification on the microstructure and shear strength of Cu/CuW *** solid-state diffusion bonding of modified-Cu(MCu)and modified-CuW(M-CuW)was achieved by HCPEB modification pretreatment at a temperature of 800-900℃and a pressure of 5 MPa for 10-50 *** demonstrate that HCPEB modification facilitates the dissolution of W and Cu,resulting in the formation of a Cu_(0.4)W_(0.6)solid solution and thus enhancing the uniform distribution of ***,HCPEB-induced defects play a beneficial role in promoting the diffusion process by providing fast diffusion paths for *** optimal joints with the maximum shear strength of 213.7 MPa were obtained through bonding M-Cu and M-CuW at 900℃and 5 MPa for 30 min,which attributes to the combined effects of fine-grained strengthening and solid solution ***,the application of HCPEB modification showcases its effectiveness in promoting element diffusion and enhancing the mechanical performance of the joints.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)have emerged as a promising high-efficiency energy storage system due to the high energy density,low-cost and environmental ***,the practical application of AZIBs is severely restricted by the challenges faced by the Zn anode,which include uncontrollable dendrite growth,corrosion and hydrogen evolution ***,a simple and convenient physical vapor deposition(PVD)method is reported for fabricating uniform graphite as a protection layer on the surface of Zn *** high conductivity graphite layer on Zn anode(denoted as Zn@C)not only benefits the uniform distribution of the electric field,but also provides numerous Zn nucleation sites to regulate and navigate Zn-ion stripping/plating ***,the graphite layer with a poor catalytic activity endows the Zn@C anode with a highly suppressed hydrogen ***,a hydrogen and dendrite free anode is achieved with artificial anticatalytic carbon layer on Zn anode,exhibiting a high reversibility and excellent cycling stability over 2600 h at the current density of 5 mA·cm^(-2)with a capacity of 2.5 mAh·cm^(-2)and longtime cycling stability for assembled full *** work strategically designs the properties of the artificial interface layer to effectively address various challenges simultaneously,which presents insights for the future development of high-performance rechargeable AZIBs.

Atomically dispersed catalysts exhibit significant influence on facilitating the sluggish oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)kinetics with high atom economy,owing to remarkable attributes including nearly 100%atomic utilization and exceptional catalytic ***,accurately controlling atomic physical properties including spin,charge,orbital,and lattice degrees of atomically dispersed catalysts can realize the optimized chemical properties including maximum atom utilization efficiency,homogenous active centers,and satisfactory catalytic performance,but remains ***,through physical and chemical insight,we review and systematically summarize the strategies to optimize atomically dispersed ORR catalysts including adjusting the atomic coordination environment,adjacent electronic orbital and site density,and the choice of dual-atom *** the emphasis is on the fundamental understanding of the correlation between the physical property and the catalytic behavior for atomically dispersed ***,an overview of the existing challenges and prospects to illustrate the current obstacles and potential opportunities for the advancement of atomically dispersed catalysts in the realm of electrocatalytic reactions is offered.

Research of capture mechanisms with strong capture adaptability and stable grasp is important to solve the problem of launch and recovery of torpedo-shaped autonomous underwater vehicles(AUVs).A multi-loop coupling capture mechanism with strong adaptability and high retraction rate has been proposed for the launch and recovery of torpedo-shaped AUVs with different morphological ***,the principle of capturing motion retraction is described based on the appearance characteristics of torpedo-shaped AUVs,and the configuration synthesis of the capture mechanism is carried out using the method of constrained chain ***,the screw theory is employed to analyze the degree of freedom(DoF)of the capture ***,the 3D model of the capture mechanism is established,and the kinematics and dynamics simulations are carried *** with the capture orientation requirements of the capture mechanism,the statics and vibration characteristics analyses are carried ***,considering the capture process and the underwater working environment,the motion characteristics and hydraulics characteristics of the capture mechanism are ***,a principle prototype is developed and the torpedo-shaped AUVs capture experiment is *** work provides technical reserves for the research and development of AUV capture special equipment.

In the selective oxidation of biomass-based 1,2-propanediol(PDO)with oxygen as the terminal oxidant,it is challenging to improve the lactic acid(LA)selectivity for nonnoble metal nanoparticles(NPs)due to their limited oxygen reduction rate and easy C-C *** the high economic feasibility of nonnoble metals,i.e.,Cu,in this work,copper and nitrogen codoped porous carbon nanosheets encapsulating ultrafine Cu nanoparticles(Cu@Cu-N-C)were developed to realize highly selective of PDO oxidation to *** carbon-encapsulated ultrasmall Cu^(0)NPs in Cu@Cu-N-C have high PDO dehydrogenation activity while N-coordinated Cu(Cu-N)sites are responsible for the high oxygen reduction ***,the performance of catalytic PDO conversion to LA is optimized by a proposed pathway of PDO→hydroxylacetone→lactaldehyde→***,the enhanced LA selectivity is 88.5%,and the PDO conversion is up to 75.1%in an O_(2)-pressurized reaction system(1.0 MPa O_(2)),superior to other Cu-based catalysts,while in a milder nonpressurized system(O_(2)flow rate of 100 mL min-1),a remarkable LA selectivity(94.2%)is obtained with 39.8%PDO conversion,2.2 times higher than that of supported Au nanoparticles(1%Au/C).Moreover,carbon encapsulation offers Cu@Cu-N-C with strong leaching resistance for better recycling.

Particle shape is an important factor affecting the fragmentation distribution of the ore *** investigate the influence of particle shape on the morphological fragmentation distribution characteristics,the crushable ore particles are defined as prolate,oblate ellipsoid and spherical particles,which have different aspect ratios(AR)and sphericity(S).Based on the drop weight experiment,the influence of the net drop height on the macroscopic mechanical behavior and crushing distribution characteristics of the single spherical and ellipsoidal particles is *** results show that different peak-shifting characteristics exist during particle *** fragmentation distribution peak shifts left when the increased impact energy is eventually only enough to break medium-sized ***,it shifts right when impact energy is increased enough to break largest-sized ***,regardless of whether the net drop height changes,the maximum continuous fragmentation degree presents"M"-shaped characteristic with the increased *** with the ellipsoid particles,the single spherical particle is more difficult to be broken by impact,with wider equivalent particle fragmentation *** the increase of particle sphericity,the maximum continuous fragmentation degree of a single ellipsoid particle has an overall trend of initial increase and subsequent *** when particle sphericity is 0.9

Cross-Modal Graph Semantic Communication Assisted by Generative AI in the Metaverse for 6G

Recently, the development of the Metaverse has become a frontier spotlight, which is an important demonstration of the integration innovation of advanced technologies in the Internet. Moreover, artificial intelligence (AI) and 6G communications will be widely used in our daily lives. However, the effective interactions with the representations of multimodal data among users via 6G communications is the main challenge in the Metaverse. In this work, we introduce an intelligent cross-modal graph semantic communication approach based on generative AI and 3-dimensional (3D) point clouds to improve the diversity of multimodal representations in the Metaverse. Using a graph neural network, multimodal data can be recorded by key semantic features related to the real scenarios. Then, we compress the semantic features using a graph transformer encoder at the transmitter, which can extract the semantic representations through the cross-modal attention mechanisms. Next, we leverage a graph semantic validation mechanism to guarantee the exactness of the overall data at the receiver. Furthermore, we adopt generative AI to regenerate multimodal data in virtual scenarios. Simultaneously, a novel 3D generative reconstruction network is constructed from the 3D point clouds, which can transfer the data from images to 3D models, and we infer the multimodal data into the 3D models to increase realism in virtual scenarios. Finally, the experiment results demonstrate that cross-modal graph semantic communication, assisted by generative AI, has substantial potential for enhancing user interactions in the 6G communications and Metaverse.

Axially chiral biaryls represent the most important class of atropisomers,and they widely exist in natural products and biologically active *** also constitute a unique scaffold for chiral ligands and catalysts in organic *** development of synthetic methods to obtain such chiral compounds has received widespread attention,among which catalytically atroposelective ring-opening of configurationally labile compounds represents one of the most attractive *** substrates with strained cyclic structures,such as the renowned Bringmann's lactones,can undergo asymmetric transformation into stable *** advancement primarily relies on metal catalyst combined with well-designed chiral ligands,the approaches utilizing organocatalysis as a critical resolution strategy are notably *** this study,we disclosed a N-heterocyclic carbene(NHC)-catalyzed asymmetric ring-opening reaction of biaryl lactams via direct atroposelective nucleophilic *** optimized bulky carbene catalyst ensures that the reaction can proceed under mild conditions,affording the desired product with good to excellent yields and atroposelectivity.
