Mechanical Behavior and Failure Mechanism of an As-Extruded Mg-11wt%Y Alloy at Elevated Temperature

Through carrying out the high-temperature tensile experiments on an as-extruded Mg-11wt%Y alloy at 350℃,400℃,450℃,500℃and 550℃,the mechanical behavior and fracture mechanisms at elevated temperatures are investigated and *** results show that with the increase of temperature,the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the alloy increase at first and then decrease,while that the elongation ratio decreases firstly and then *** the sample being tested at 350℃,the values of yield strength,ultimate tensile strength and the elongation ratio are 188 MPa,266 MPa and 11%,*** 400℃,the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength reach the maximum values of,respectively,198 MPa and 277 MPa,but the elongation ratio is the lowest and its value is only 8%.When the applied temperature is increased to 550℃,the values of yield strength and ultimate tensile strength,respectively,decrease to 140 MPa and 192 MPa and the elongation ratio increases to 38%.Failure analysis demonstrates that the fracture surfaces of different samples are mainly composed of plastic dimples and exhibit the typical characteristic of ductile *** observation to the fracture side surfaces indicates that at the temperatures of 350℃and 400℃,microcracks mainly initiate in the interior of Mg_(24)Y_(5)*** the temperatures are 450℃,500℃and 550℃,the cracks preferentially initiate at the Mg_(24)Y_(5)/α-Mg interfaces.

Analytical solution of basic equations set of atmospheric motion

On condition that the basic equations set of atmospheric motion possesses the best stability in the smooth function classes, the structure of solution space for local analytical solution is discussed, by which the third-class initial value problem with typ- icality and application is analyzed. The calculational method and concrete expressions of analytical solution about the well-posed initial value problem of the third-kind are given in the analytic function classes. Near an appointed point, the relevant theoretical and computational problems about analytical solution of initial value problem are solved completely in the meaning of local solution. Moreover, for other type ofproblems for determining solution, the computational method and process of their stable analytical solution can be obtained in a similar way given in this paper.

Multidimensional modal analysis of liquid nonlinear sloshing in right circular cylindrical tank

The multidimensional modal theory proposed by Faltinsen, et al. （2000） is applied to solve liquid nonlinear free sloshing in right circular cylindrical tank for the first time. After selecting the leading modes and fixing the order of magnitudes based on the Narimanov-Moiseev third order asymptotic hypothesis, the general infinite dimensional modal system is reduced to a five dimensional asymptotic modal system （the system of second order nonlinear ordinary differential equations coupling the generalized time dependent coordinates of free surface wave elevation）. The numerical integrations of this modal system discover most important nonlinear phenomena, which agree well with both pervious analytic theories and experimental observations. The results indicate that the multidimensional modal method is a very good tool for solving liquid nonlinear sloshing dynamics and will be developed to investigate more complex sloshing problem in our following work.

Effect of swimming training on neural microcirculation in rats with sciatic nerve compression A study based on laser Doppler flowmetry

Microcirculation of the peripheral nerve is necessary for neural growth and regeneration. However, technical limitations have limited studies in this area. The few studies conducted have concerned active exercise effects on microcirculation of the peripheral nerve. Using an animal experiment, this study evaluated the effect of swimming training on microcirculation of injured peripheral nerve by laser Doppler flowmetry. The results showed that the blood vessel at the distal end of the peripheral nerve was the main blood supply for the nerve, and the internal blood supply for the nerve had strong compensatory ability. Swimming training promoted the functional recovery of rats with sciatic nerve injury and the regeneration of myelin sheath and blood vessels, but had no impact on neural blood flow.

Diet restriction and exercise alleviate cognitive reduction of high fat diet(HFD)-induced obese mice by rescuing inflammation-mediated compromised insulin signaling pathway through activating AMPK/SIRT1 signal pathway and suppressing TLR4 signal pathway

Obesity， caused by excessive energy， leads to body weight gain and various diseases， including cognitive impairment. Current studies suggest that diet restriction such as optimal fasting and regular exercise are crucial for improving cognitive capacity. However， further exploration is needed to understand the specific mechanisms of high fat diet (HFD)-induced cognitive decline in obesity. In the present study， 4-month-old mice were subjected to HFD feeding for 18 weeks， followed by aerobic exercise and high-intensity intermittent exercise， regular diet feeding， and intermittent fasting for 8 weeks， and then used to evaluate cognitive capacity， inflammation， compromised insulin signaling pathway， oxidative stress， and apoptosis in hippocampal tissue， as well as AMPK/SIRT1 and TLR4 signal pathways. Obese mice revealed impaired cognitive capacity as compared with mice fed with regular diets. In contrast， aerobic exercise， high-intensity intermittent exercise， regular diet， and intermittent fasting could inhibit apoptosis caused by inflammation-mediated compromised insulin signaling pathway in hippocampal tissues through activating the AMPK/SIRT1 signal pathway and suppressing the TLR4 signal pathway， thereby rescuing the cognitive impairment of obese mice. Therefore， diet restriction and exercise interventions may play a positive role in reverting obesity-induced cognitive impairment.

Target tracking based on frequency spectrum amplitude

The amplitude of frequency spectrum can he integrated with prohabilisfic data association （PDA） to distinguish the target with clutter echoes, especially in low SNR underwater environment. A new target-tracking algorithm is presented which adopts the amplitude of frequency spectrum to improve target tracking in clutter. The prohabilisfic density distribution of frequency spectrum amplitude is analyzed. By simulation, the results show that the algorithm is superior to PDA. This approach enhances stability for the association probability and increases the performance of target tracking.

Through exploring the stress corrosion cracking(SCC)behaviors of the as-cast Mg-8%Li and Mg-8%Li-6%Zn-1.2%Y alloys in a 0.1 M NaCl solution,it revealed that the SCC susceptibility index(I_(SCC))of the Mg-8%Li alloy was 47%,whilst the I_(SCC)of the Mg-8%Li-6%Zn-1.2%Y alloy was 68%.Surface,cross-sectional and fractography observations indicated that for the Mg-8%Li alloy,theα-Mg/β-Li interfaces acted as the preferential crack initiation sites and propagation paths during the SCC *** regard to the Mg-8%Li-6%Zn-1.2%Y alloy,the crack initiation sites included the I-phase and the interfaces of I-phase/β-Li andα-Mg/β-Li,and the preferential propagation paths were the I-phase/β-Li andα-Mg/β-Li ***,the SCC of the two alloys was concerned with hydrogen embrittlement(HE)mechanism.

Lift fin stabilizers based on data fusion with wavelet denoising technology

Fin stabilizers with fin-lift feedback control can shield the mapping error of calculation between the fin angle and fin lift force,which is in the fin stabilizer with fin-angle feedback *** practice,there are some technical difficulties in lift fin stabilizers,such as lift force detection and lift force sensor installation,so it cannot achieve the good antirolling ***,a fin stabilizer system with fin-lift/fin-angle integrated control is brought *** fusion based on wavelet denoising technology is employed in the system,which combines lift with fin angle local information from two sensors with different frequency ranges in order to eliminate redundant and contradictory information,and using complementary information to obtain the relative integrity of the lift force *** system model is established in this paper,and the fusion signal and the antirolling performance of this model are simulated *** result shows that the control system can meet the antirolling need in different sea situations.

Seismism and Fluxoturbidite in Front of Delta

Seism is one of the main triggering mechanisms of forming fluxoturbidite in front of delta. The forming process of fluxoturbidite in front of delta under seismism was experimentally simulated in lab. The results show that there are two kinds of slumping and three kinds of fluxoturbidites in front of delta under seismism. The liquefied fluxo- turbidite and secondary overlapped turbidite move by their own gravity, and develop mainly on the base of foreslope and the frontal bed slope. They have a small sedimentary scale and can’t move too far. On the contrary, the faulted fluxoturbidites have a larger scale and can move a long distance. The collision- power from hinder overlapped sand body is also the motivity of the faulted fluxoturbidite’s migration besides its own gravity. They mostly develop in the deep sag in front of delta, and are the favorable room to accumulate petroleum. Finally, according to the demonstration and inversion of similarity, at least 7.35 M of earthquake had happened in middle- Shasan period of Paleogene, which induced the slumping of delta front. So the tectonic action of northern steep slope is the main reason to induce earth- quake.
