A surface engineering strategy for the stabilization of zinc metal anodes with montmorillonite layers toward long-life rechargeable aqueous zinc ion batteries

Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） exhibit appreciable potential in the domain of electrochemical energy ***,there are serious challenges for AZIBs,for instance zinc dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reaction （HER）,and corrosion side ***,we propose a surface engineering modification strategy for coating the montmorillonite （MMT） layer onto the surface of the Zn anode to tackle these issues,thereby achieving high cycling stability for rechargeable *** results reveal that the MMT layer on the surface of the Zn anode is able to provide ordered zincophilic channels for zinc ions migration,facilitating the reaction kinetics of zinc *** functional theory（DFT） calculations and water contact angle （CA） tests prove that MMT@Zn anode exhibits superior adsorption capacity for Zn2+and better hydrophobicity than the bare Zn anode,thereby achieving excellent cycling ***,the MMT@Zn||MMT@Zn symmetric cell holds the stable cycling over 5600 h at 0.5 mA cm-2and 0.125 m A h cm-2,even exceeding 1800 h long cycling under harsh conditions of 5 m A cm-2and 1.25 m A h *** MMT@Zn||V2O5full cell reaches over 3000 cycles at 2 A g-1with excellent rate ***,this surface engineering modification strategy for enhancing the electrochemical performance of AZIBs represents a promising application.

Cost-effective,safe,and highly performing energy storage devices require rechargeable batteries,and among various options,aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)have shown high promise in this *** a cathode material for the aqueous ZIBs,manganese dioxide(MnO_(2))has been found to be promising,but certain drawbacks of this cathode material are slow charge-transfer capability and poor cycling ***,a novel design of graphene quantum dots(GQDs)integrated with Zn-intercalated MnO_(2)nanosheets is put forward to construct a 3D nanoflower-like GQDs@ZnxMnO_(2)composite cathode for aqueous *** synergistic coupling of GQDs modification with Zn intercalation provides abundant active sites and conductive medium to facilitate the ion/electron transmission,as well as ensure the GQDs@ZnxMnO_(2)composite cathode with enhanced charge-transfer capability and high electrochemical reversibility,which are elucidated by experiment results and in-situ Raman *** impressive properties endow the GQDs@ZnxMnO_(2)composite cathode with superior aqueous Zn^(2+) storage capacity(~403.6 mAh·g^(−1)),excellent electrochemical kinetics,and good structural *** actual applications,the fabricated aqueous ZIBs can deliver a substantial energy density(226.8 W·h·kg^(−1)),a remarkable power density(650 W·kg^(−1)),and long-term cycle performance,further stimulating their potential application as efficient electrochemical storage devices for various energy-related fields.

One-step synthesis of graphitic-C_3N_4/ZnS composites for enhanced supercapacitor performance

A series of graphitic-C3N4/ZnS（g-C3N4/ZnS） supercapacitor electrode materials have been prepared via a one-step calcination process of zinc acetate/thiourea with different mass ratios under nitrogen atmosphere. The optimized g-C3N4/ZnS composite shows a highest specific capacitance of 497.7 F/g at 1 A/g and good cycling stability with capacitance retention of 80.4% at 5 A/g after 1000 cycles. Moreover, gC3N4/ZnS composites display an improved supercapacitor performance in terms of specific capacitance compared to the pure g-C3N4 and ZnS. In addition, our designed symmetric supercapacitor device based on g-C3N4/ZnS composite electrodes can exhibit an energy density of 10.4 Wh/kg at a power density of 187.3 W/kg. As a result, g-C3N4/ZnS composites are expected to be a prospective material for supercapacitors and other energy storage applications.

Judging or setting weight steady-state of rational Bézier curves and surfaces

Many works have investigated the problem of reparameterizing rational B^zier curves or surfaces via MSbius transformation to adjust their parametric distribution as well as weights, such that the maximal ratio of weights becomes smallerthat some algebraic and computational properties of the curves or surfaces can be improved in a way. However, it is an indication of veracity and optimization of the reparameterization to do prior to judge whether the maximal ratio of weights reaches minimum, and verify the new weights after MSbius transfor- mation. What＇s more the users of computer aided design softwares may require some guidelines for designing rational B6zier curves or surfaces with the smallest ratio of weights. In this paper we present the necessary and sufficient conditions that the maximal ratio of weights of the curves or surfaces reaches minimum and also describe it by using weights succinctly and straightway. The weights being satisfied these conditions are called being in the stable state. Applying such conditions, any giving rational B6zier curve or surface can automatically be adjusted to come into the stable state by CAD system, that is, the curve or surface possesses its optimal para- metric distribution. Finally, we give some numerical examples for demonstrating our results in important applications of judging the stable state of weights of the curves or surfaces and designing rational B6zier surfaces with compact derivative bounds.

Intergranular corrosion of spark plasma sintered 2024 aluminum alloy at different heat treatment states

2024 aluminum alloys were consolidated by using spark plasma sintering(SPS) method,and then heat treated by solid solution treatment(SST) and aging treatment(AT) *** average grain size of bulk samples sintered with 5,20 and 50 μm powders was 3.72,4.73 and 8.11 μm,*** difference between the average grain size and original powder size was attributed to the recrystallization during short sintering *** number of the inclusion phases in these samples decreased after SST and increased after subsequent ***,it was observed that intergranular corrosion(IGC) cracks initiated from stable pits due to the electrochemical inhomogeneity between the intermetallic particles(IMPs) and the aluminum matrix(176.02,110.83 and 164.80 mV for as-SPS,as-SST and as-AT samples,respectively).Besides,the cracks would propagate along the grain boundaries(GBs) and bypass the IMPs at GBs during *** was revealed that the sample after SST presented the best IGC resistance,and this was ascribed to the reduce of IMPs,both in size and number.

Reputation-based secure spectrum situation fusion in distributed cognitive radio networks

In distributed cognitive radio （CR） network, the cooperative spectrum situation sensing based on consensus scheme may be disrupted by spectrum sensing data falsification （SSDF） attacks. In this paper, a secure spectrum situation fusion scheme based on reputation is proposed to counter attacks. The neighboring nodes of secondary users （SUs） get the corresponding dynamic trust value according to their behavior, which restrict the impact of the malicious behavior on the premise to ensure information interaction of normal nodes. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the consensus fusion scheme based on reputation has better performance than the existing algorithm which eliminates the neighboring node with the biggest deviation value from mean value. It demonstrates that the proposed scheme not only achieves better convergence properties but also has higher detection probability than the existing scheme in the process of spectrum situation fusion.

Rechargeable aqueous magnesium-ion batteries(MIBs)show great promise for low-cost,high-safety,and high-performance energy storage *** manganese dioxide(MnO_(2))is considered as a potential electrode material for aqueous MIBs,the low electrical conductivity and unsatisfactory cycling performance greatly hinder the practical application of MnO_(2)*** overcome these problems,herein,a novel Mg-intercalation engineering approach for MnO_(2)electrode to be used in aqueous MIBs is presented,wherein the structural regulation and electrochemical performance of the Mg-intercalation MnO_(2)(denoted as MMO)electrode were thoroughly investigated by density functional theory(DFT)calculations and in-situ Raman *** results demonstrate that the Mg intercalation is essential to adjusting the charge/ion state and electronic band gap of MMO electrode,as well as the highly reversible phase transition of the MMO electrode during the charging-discharging *** of these remarkable characteristics,the MMO electrode can be capable of delivering a significant specific capacity of~419.8 mAh·g^(−1),while exhibiting a good cycling capability over 1000 cycles in 1 M aqueous MgCl_(2) *** the basis of such MMO electrode,we have successfully developed a soft-packaging aqueous MIB with excellent electrochemical properties,revealing its huge application potential as the efficient energy storage devices.
