The movement of pedestrians involves temporal continuity,spatial interactivity,and random *** a result,pedestrian trajectory prediction is rather *** existing trajectory prediction methods tend to focus on just one aspect of these challenges,ignoring the temporal information of the trajectory and making too many *** this paper,we propose a recurrent attention and interaction(RAI)model to predict pedestrian *** RAI model consists of a temporal attention module,spatial pooling module,and randomness modeling *** temporal attention module is proposed to assign different weights to the input sequence of a target,and reduce the speed deviation of different *** spatial pooling module is proposed to model not only the social information of neighbors in historical frames,but also the intention of neighbors in the current *** randomness modeling module is proposed to model the uncertainty and diversity of trajectories by introducing random *** conduct extensive experiments on several public *** results demonstrate that our method outperforms many that are state-ofthe-art.

Interaction of a planar shock wave with a discontinuous SF& elliptic gas cylinder surrounded by air is investigated. Special attention is given to the effects of aspect ratio on wave pattern, interface evolution, and material mixing. An ideal discontinuous two-dimensional gas cylinder is created by the soap film technique in experiments, and the shocked flow is captured by schlieren photography combined with a high-speed video camera. The surface of the gas cylinder is clear enough to observe the shock motions, and the distinct interface boundaries allow us to extract more details. As aspect ratio varies, the shock focusing process is quite different. For the prolate gas cylinder, an inward jet is produced although an internal shock focusing firstly occurs. The inward jet has never been observed in membraneless prolate ellipse experiments probably because the inward jet is so faint due to less vorticity generation on membraneless interface that it is difficult to be observed. For the oblate gas cylinder, a secondary vortex pair, which has not been described clearly in previous work, is derived from the downstream interface. The material lines at early stages are extracted from experiments, which grow faster as aspect ratio increases. The in terfacial area, the mean volume fraction and the mixing rate are presented from computations, and the results show that the increase of aspect ratio promotes the mixing between gases.

A new organic dye, trans-4-[4'-(N-hydroxyethyl-N-methylamino)styryl]-N-methylpyridinium p-toluene sulfonate (HMASPS) has been synthesized and its structure has been determined. Pumped with a 1064 nm, 50 ps laser pulses, 0.05 mol/L HMASPS/DMF solution showed the two-photon pumped (TPP) output/input efficiency of 8.4% which is higher than that of trans-4-[p-(N-hydroxyethyl-N-methylamino) styryl]-N-methylpyridinium iodide (ASPI)(1) at the same pump level.

In this paper, the near-critical and super-critical asymptotic behavior of a reversible Markov process as a chemical model for polymerization was studied. The results of the present paper, together with an analysis of the sub-critical stage, establish the existence of three distinct stages (sub-critical, near-critical and super-critical stages) of polymerization (in the thermodynamic limit as N --> +infinity,),depending on the value of strength of the fragmentation reaction. These three stages correspond to the size of the largest length of polymers of size N to be itself of order log N, Nm/m+1 (m greater than or equal to 2, m not equal 4n, n greater than or equal to 1) and N, respectively.

The prevalence of colorectal cancer (CRC) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) isincreasing globally. It is rarely noticed that the incidence of CRC is higher inpatients with T2DM. What needs to be mentioned is that metformin, a commonlyused clinical drug for T2DM, attracts scholars’ attention because of its benefits inlowering the risk of developing CRC. Hence, we try to find the common groundsof initiation of T2DM and CRC and the reason why metformin reduces the risk ofCRC in patients with T2DM. We noticed consistent changes of gut microbiota,such as elevated Bacteroides, Prevotella and Bifidobacterium and depressedFirmicutes and Lactobacillus. Furthermore, many studies in recent years haveproved that the efficacy of metformin, such as improving blood glucose, dependson the gut microbiota. Coincidentally, the progression of CRC is inseparable fromthe contributions of gut microbiota. Therefore, we first proposed the concept ofthe metformin-gut microbiota–CRC (in T2DM) axis to explain the effect ofmetformin in reducing CRC in patients with T2DM. In this review, we elaboratedthe new concept and its potential clinical application value.

Location privacy means a user keeps his/her geographical location secret. If location information falls into the wrong hands, an adversary can physically locate a person. To address this privacy issue, Qi et al.(2004a; 2004b) proposed a special and feasible architecture, using blind signature to generate an authorized anonymous ID replacing the real ID of a legitimate mobile user. The original purpose of his architecture was to eliminate the relationship of authorized anonymous ID and real ID. We present an algorithm to break out Qi’s registration and re-confusion protocol, and then propose a new mechanism based on bilinear pairings to protect location privacy. Moreover we show that the administrator or third parity cannot obtain information on the legitimate user’s authorized anonymous ID and real ID in our proposed protocols.

A METHOD FOR MEASUREMENT OF GAS CONTENT IN SLURRY PIPELINE

Most commercial slurries in hydrotransport pipelines usually contain some gas which can considerably degrade the pump performance, but this small amount of gas content can not be measured accurately online or continually using conventional methods. Based on analysis of effects of. gas on pressure wave speed in slurries, an investigation was carried out to validate the feasibility of the method to deter.. mine gas content in slurries using sound speed. Moreover, its practical measuring methods were also discussed. It was found that the non invasive measurement of the sound level noise spectrum across the pipeline should be a promising online measuring method of the slurry gas content.

Preparation of Negative Thermal Expansion ZrW_2O_8 Powders and Its Application in Polyimide/ZrW_2O_8 Composites

Negative thermal expansion （NTE） ZrW2O8 powders were prepared by step-by-step solid-state reaction with ZrO2 and WO3 powders. The coefficient of thermal expansion （CTE） of the as-prepared ZrW208 was around -5.08×10^-6 K^-1 at 20-700℃. Different amounts of ZrW208 powders were added in BTDA-ODA polyamic acid to form polyimide/ZrW2O8 composites （PI/ZrW2O8）. With the increment of ZrW2O8, experimental results show that ZrW2O8 powders can significantly enhance the thermal stability of the composites, and reduce the thermal expansion. A 50 wt pct ZrW2O8 addition can give rise to a 31% reduction of CTE. It is suggested that the PI/ZrW2O8 composites have potential applications in high performance microelectronic devices.

Some Problems of Recycling Industrial Materials

The industrial system should learn from the natural ecosystem. The resource utilization efficiency should be increased and the environmental load should be decreased, depending on the materials recycled in the system. The classification of industrial materials from the viewpoint of large-scale recycling was stated. Recycling of materials, on three different levels, was introduced in the industrial system. The metal flow diagram in the life cycle of products, in the case of no materials recycled, materials partially recycled, and materials completely recycled, was given. The natural resource conservation and the waste emission reduction were analyzed under the condition of materials completely recycled. The expressions for the relation between resource efficiency and material recycling rate, and the relation between eco-efficiency and material recycling rate were derived, and the curves describing the relationship between them were protracted. The diagram of iron flow in the life cycle of iron and steel products in china, in 2001, was given, and the iron resource efficiency, material recycling rate, and iron eco-efficiency were analyzed. The variation of iron resource efficiency with the material recycling rate was analyzed for two different production ratios.
