A high precision visual localization sensor and its working methodology for an indoor mobile robot

To overcome the shortcomings of existing robot localization sensors, such as low accuracy and poor robustness, a high precision visual localization system based on infrared-reflective artificial markers is designed and illustrated in detail in this paper. First, the hardware system of the localization sensor is developed. Secondly, we design a novel kind of infrared-reflective artificial marker whose characteristics can be extracted by the acquisition and processing of the infrared image. In addition, a confidence calculation method for marker identification is proposed to obtain the probabilistic localization results. Finally, the autonomous localization of the robot is achieved by calculating the relative pose relation between the robot and the artificial marker based on the perspective-3-point(P3P) visual localization algorithm. Numerous experiments and practical applications show that the designed localization sensor system is immune to the interferences of the illumination and observation angle changes. The precision of the sensor is ±1.94 cm for position localization and ±1.64° for angle localization. Therefore, it satisfies perfectly the requirements of localization precision for an indoor mobile robot.

A virtual service placement approach based on improved quantum genetic algorithm

despite the critical role that middleboxes play in introducing new network functionality,management and innovation of them are still severe challenges for network operators,since traditional middleboxes based on hardware lack service flexibility and ***,though new networking technologies,such as network function virtualization(NFV) and softwaredefined networking(SdN),are considered as very promising drivers to design cost-efficient middlebox service architectures,how to guarantee transmission efficiency has drawn little attention under the condition of adding virtual service process for ***,we focus on the service deployment problem to reduce the transport delay in the network with a combination of NFV and ***,a framework is designed for service placement decision,and an integer linear programming model is proposed to resolve the service placement and minimize the network transport *** a heuristic solution is designed based on the improved quantum genetic *** results show that our proposed method can calculate automatically the optimal placement *** scheme can achieve lower overall transport delay for a network compared with other schemes and reduce 30% of the average traffic transport delay compared with the random placement scheme.

Corrosion and passive behaviour of duplex stainless steel 2205 at different cooling rates in a simulated marine-environment solution

The corrosion and passive behaviour of duplex stainless steel 2205 at six cooling rates （1, 5, 10, 15, 20 ℃ s^-1 and water quenched） in a simulated marine-environment solution was investigated using electrochemical measurements of potentiostatic critical pitting temperature, potentiodynamic polarisation curves, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and Mott-Schottky curves. The microstructural evolution and pitting morphologies of the specimens were visualised using an optical microscope and scanning electron microscope. The electrochemical responses of the passive film show that passivity of the steel was enhanced as the cooling rate increased; however, the threshold cooling rate was 20 ℃ s^-1, beyond which pitting corrosion resistance remained stable. Based on the analyses of microstructural evolution and pit morphologies, the proportion of the ferrite phase increased with the cooling rate and the ratio of austenite and ferrite was close to 1：1. The pitting size decreased as the cooling rate increased, and most metastable pits on specimens were located in the ferrite phase and on the ferrite-austenite interface. Thus, pitting resistance of steel is governed by the phase that provides the lowest pitting resistance equivalent number. The optimised pitting corrosion resistance for steel 2205 was achieved when it was greater than or equal to 20℃ s^-1.

Narrowband light-emitting materials play critical roles in improving the color gamut and energy consumption of electroluminescence. Herein we demonstrated that by regulating the ground state resonance structure form of emitters with polycyclic aromatic heterocycles, the high-energy vibration of the C–C bond can be effectively suppressed, resulting in narrow emission like classical cyanine dyes. The designed compounds consist of twist and planar conformation, while having differences in the orientation of the positioning electron-donating(nitrogen) and electron-accepting(carbonyl) groups in the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon skeleton. The resulting compound Ac-Ph-Ac with a dominated zwitterionic resonance structure exhibits a relatively wide electroluminescent profile with the full width at half maximum(FWHM) of 42 nm and moderate device performance. In contrast, the “soliton transition” of 2AcPh based on the cyanine limit character effectively suppresses C–C stretching vibration in the polycyclic aromatic heterocycle skeleton, leading to a narrow electroluminescent profile with FWHM of 30 nm(0.16 eV)associated with an impressively high external quantum efficiency of 28.52%, which is among the highest efficiencies of so far reported non-sensitized organic light-emitting diodes.

In situ observation and modeling of austenite grain growth in a Nb-Ti-bearing high carbon steel

In situ measurements of austenite grain growth were made at various temperatures in the range of 1273-1473 K with subsequent isothermal holding time of 3600 s for the Nb-Ti-bearing and Nb-Ti-free high carb on steel by using a confocal laser scanning *** solid solute behavior of Nb-Ti carbides during austenitizing process was *** experimental results indicate that the austenite grains of both steels grow up gradually with increasing the heating temperature and holding time;the size and growth rate of austenite grain of Nb-Ti-bearing high carbon steel are much lower than those of Nb-Ti-free high carbon steel.A large amount of(Nb,Ti)(C,N)nanoparticles are observed in Nb-Tibearing steel,which retain the strong pinning effect on austenite grain *** kinetics model of austenite grain growth of Nb-Ti-bearing steel during isothermal heat treatment is obtained and the predicted values calculated by using the model meet the experimental values very well.

diffusion mechanism simulation of cloud manufacturing complex network based on cooperative game theory

Cloud manufacturing is a specific implementation form of the "Internet + manufacturing" strategy. Why and how to develop cloud manufacturing platform(CMP), however, remains the key concern of both platform operators and users. A microscopic model is proposed to investigate advantages and diffusion forces of CMP through exploration of its diffusion process and mechanism. Specifically, a three-stage basic evolution process of CMP is innovatively proposed. Then, based on this basic process, a more complex CMP evolution model has been established in virtue of complex network theory, with five diffusion forces identified. Thereafter, simulations on CMP diffusion have been conducted. The results indicate that, CMP possesses better resource utilization,user satisfaction, and enterprise utility. results of simulation on impacts of different diffusion forces show that both the time required for CMP to reach an equilibrium state and the final network size are affected simultaneously by the five diffusion forces. All these analyses indicate that CMP could create an open online cooperation environment and turns out to be an effective implementation of the "Internet + manufacturing" strategy.

Thermal-hydraulic design and transient analysis of passive cooling system for CPr1000 spent fuel storage pool

This paper proposes a design of passive cooling system for CPr1000 spent fuel pool(SFP). Our design can effectively manage the SFP temperature not to exceed80 C. Then the transient analysis of the CPr1000 SFP with designed passive cooling system is carried out in station blackout(SBO) accident by the best-estimate thermal-hydraulic system code rELAP5. The simulation results show that to maintain the temperature of CPr1000 SFP under 80 C, the numbers of the SFP and air cooling heat exchangers tubes are 6627 and 19 086, *** height difference between the bottom of the air cooling heat exchanger and the top of the SFP heat exchanger is3.8 m. The number of SFP heat exchanger tubes decreases as the height difference increases, while the number of the air cooling heat exchanger tubes increases. The transient analysis results show that after the SBO accident, a stable natural cooling circulation is established. The surface temperature of CPr1000 SFP increases continually until 80 C, which indicates that the design of the passive air cooling system for CPr1000 SFP is capable of removing the decay heat to maintain the temperature of the SFP around 80 C after losing the heat sink.

Analysis of SBLOCA on CPr1000 with a passive system

Since the Fukushima accident in 2011,more and more attention has been paid to nuclear reactor safety.A number of evolutionary passive systems have been developed to enhance the inherent safety of *** paper presents a passive safety system applied on CPr1000,which is a traditional generation II+ *** passive components selected are as follows:(1) the reactor makeup tanks(rMTs);(2) the advanced accumulators(A-ACCs);(3) the passive emergency feedwater system(PEFS);(4)the passive depressurization system(PdS);(5) the incontainment refueling water storage tank(IrWST).The model of the coolant system and the passive systems was established by utilizing a system code(rELAP5/MOd3.3).The SBLOCA(small-break loss of coolant) was analyzed to test the passive safety *** the SBLOCA occurred,the rMTs were *** water in the rMTs was then injected into the pressure *** rMTs' low water level triggered the PdS,which depressurized the coolant system *** the pressure of the coolant system decreased,the A-ACCs and the IrWST were put to work to prevent the uncovering of the *** results show that,after the small-break loss-of-coolant accident,the passive systems can prevent uncovering of the core and guarantee the safety of the plant.
