Superfast and solvent-free core-shell assembly of sulfur/carbon active particles by hail-inspired nanostorm technology for high-energy-density Li-S batteries

The demand on low-carbon emission fabrication technologies for energy storage materials is increasing dramatically with the global interest on carbon *** a promising active material for metal-sulfur batteries,sulfur is of great interest due to its high-energy-density and ***,there is a lack of industry-friendly and low-carbon fabrication strategies for high-performance sulfur-based active particles,which,however,is in critical need by their practical ***,based on a hail-inspired sulfur nano-storm(HSN)technology developed in our lab,we report an energy-saving,solvent-free strategy for producing core-shell sulfur/carbon electrode particles(CNT@AC-S)in *** fabrication of the CNT@AC-S electrode particles only involves low-cost sulfur blocks,commercial carbon nanotubes(CNT)and activated carbon(AC)micro-particles with high specific surface *** on the above core-shell CNT@AC-S particles,sulfur cathode with a high sulfur-loading of 9.2 mg cm^(-2) delivers a stable area capacity of 6.6 mAh cm^(-2) over 100 ***,even for sulfur cathode with a super-high sulfur content(72 wt%over the whole electrode),it still delivers a high area capacity of 9 mAh cm^(-2) over50 cycles in a quasi-lean electrolyte *** a nutshell,this study brings a green and industryfriendly fabrication strategy for cost-effective production of rationally designed S-rich electrode particles.

Effects of Crystallinity and Defects of Layered Carbon Materials on Potassium Storage:A Review and Prediction

Layered carbon materials(LCMs)are composed of basic carbon layer units,such as graphite,soft carbon,hard carbon,and *** they have been widely applied in the anode of potassium-ion batteries,the potassium storage mechanisms and performances of various LCMs are isolated and difficult to relate to each *** importantly,there is a lack of a systematic understanding of the correlation between the basic microstructural unit(crystallinity and defects)and the potas-sium storage *** this review,we explored the key structural factors affecting the potassium storage in LCMs,namely,the crystallinity and defects of carbon layers,and the key parameters(L_(a),L_(c),d_(002),I_(D)/I_(G))that characterize the crystallinity and defects of different carbon materials were extracted from various databases and literature sources.A structure–property database of LCMs was thus built,and the effects of these key structural parameters on the potassium storage properties,including the capacity,the rate and the working voltage plateau,were systematically *** on the structure–prop-erty database analysis and the guidance of thermodynamics and kinetics,a relationship between various LCMs and potas-sium storage properties was ***,with the help of machine learning,the key structural parameters of layered carbon anodes were used for the first time to predict the potassium storage performance so that the large amount of research data in the database could more effectively guide the scientific research and engineering application of LCMs in the future.

Open-cage fullerenes with carbonyl functional groups on the rim of the orifice are ideal precursors for the extension of fullerene π-*** isopropylphenylaniline,which reacts selectively with the lactone moiety on the rim of the orifice,phenylenediamine reacts with the adjacent carbonyl and imino groups on a pentagon to form a quinoxaline *** dehydroxylative aromatization connects the fullerene cage π-system with the quinoxaline π-*** the NMR and UV-Vis spectra revealed an evident effect after the extension of the fullerene cage π-system.

Consistency analysis of GRACE and GRACE-FO data in the study of global mean sea level change

Global mean sea level(GMSL) change is one of the important indicators of global climate change and is a crucial scientific issue of continuing interest. As satellite altimeter data, the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment(GRACE) and Argo continue to be updated, especially with the release of GRACE Follow-On(GRACE-FO) data, making it necessary to combine these latest data to estimate sea level change. Determinations on whether the GRACE and GRACE-FO observation systems provide unbiased global observation data have not been effectively evaluated. Therefore, this research mainly investigated the consistency of GRACE and GRACE-FO observation data in studying GMSL change. By comparing the sum of the GMSL calculated by the two gravity satellites and Argo data with the GMSL calculated by satellite altimeters, the discrepancy between GRACE-FO + Argo and satellite altimeter data is about 7.9 ± 2.3 mm, which is likely derived from the inconsistency between GRACE and GRACE-FO data.

A Three-dimensional Organic-inorganic Hybrid Material Supported by Decavanadate Clusters and Na-O Chains: Synthesis and Crystal Structure of [Na_6(H_2O)_(16)(dod)_4V_(10)O_(28)]

A new organic-inorganic hybrid material [Na6(H2O)16(dod)2V10O28] (dod = 1,4- diazoniabicyclo[2,2,2]octane-1,4-diacetate) has been synthesized and X-ray single-crystal structural analysis reveals it crystallizes in triclinic, space group P with a = 11.533(7), b = 12.031(7), c = 12.187(4) ? a = 72.47(1), b = 73.16(1), g = 68.21(1)o, C20H64N4Na6O52V10, V = 1467(1) ?, Z = 1, Mr = 1840.1, Dc = 2.083 g/cm3, MoKa, l = 0.71073 ? m = 1.686, F(000) = 924, S = 1.027, the final R = 0.0538 and wR = 0.1272 for 4398 observed reflections. The compound has a three-dimensional frame- work constructed from decavanadate clusters, NaO chains and dod ligands. A variety of OH…O and CH…O hydrogen bonds play an important role in stabilizing the framework.

2D-QSARs of 1-Alkoxymethyl-5-alkyl-6-naphthylmethyl Uracils as HEPT Analogues with Anti-HIV-1 Activity

The two-dimensional Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship （2D-QSAR） models have been developed to estimate and predict the inhibitory activities of a series of HEPT analogues against HIV-1 by using quantum chemical parameters and physicochemical parameters. The best model of three parameters yields r = 0.908, r^2A = 0.800 and s = 0.467 based on stepwise multiple regression （SMR） method. The stability of the model has been verified by t-test, and the results show that the model has perfect robustness. The predictive power of QSAR models has been tested by Leave-One-Out （LOO） and Leave-Group（regularly random set）-Out（LGO） procedure Cross-Validation methodology. The r^2cv of 0.755 and r^2pred of 0.759 were obtained, respectively.

QSBR Study on the Biodegradation Rate Constant of Chloro-phenol Compounds

Structural and thermodynamic parameters of 16 chloro-phenol compounds in water solution were calculated and fully optimized by using Onsager model in self-consistent reaction field（SCRF） based on the B3LYP/6-311G＊＊ *** quantum chemical parameters were used as theoretical descriptors to correlate with the experimental biodegradation rate constant（Kb） of 16 compounds by stepwise multiple linear *** a result,a three-parameter model including molecular average polarizability（α）,entropy（Sθ）,and molar heat capacity at constant volume（CVθ） were established for Kb prediction,which was proposed with correlation coefficient R2 = 0.894.α exhibits the most significant effect on *** analysis and standard t-value test were applied to validate the *** expected,this model exhibits good robustness and prediction ability,which can be used in Kb prediction of analogs.

The crystal of the title compound with formula C36H44Cl2F3Mo2NO8S2 (Mr = 10002.62) crystallized in monoclinic, space group P21/n, with a = 9.6184(1), b = 22.3476(2), c = 20.7758(2) ?, ( = 90.172(1)(, V = 4465.70(7) ?3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.491 g/cm3, F(000) = 2032, ( = 0.833 mm－1, Final R = 0.0665 and wR = 0.1650 for 5044 reflections with I >2.0( (I). The crystal structure revealed that the Mo2S2 core is planar, and the trifluoroacetic group acts as a bidentate bridging ligand and coordinates to two Mo atoms forming a five-membered ring plane, in which the Mo-Mo bond distance is 2.9222(9) ? and the O-C-O angle is 131.8(7)
