Engineering hydrogels that resemble biological tissues of various lengths via conventional fabrication techniques remains ***-dimensional(3d)bioprinting has emerged as an advanced approach for constructing complex biomimetic 3d architectures,which are currently restricted by the limited number of available bioinks with high printability,biomimicry,biocompatibility,and proper mechanical *** by ubiquitous coacervation phenomena in biology,we present a unique mineral-biopolymer coacervation strategy that enables the hierarchical assembly of nanoclay and recombinant human collagen(rHC).This system was observed to undergo a coacervation transition(liquid‒liquid phase separation)*** formed dense phase separated from its supernatant is the coacervate of clay-rHC-rich complexes,where polymer chains are sandwiched between silicate *** dynamics simulation was first used to verify and explore the coacervation ***,the coacervates were demonstrated to be potential bioinks that exhibited excellent self-supporting and shear-thinning viscoelastic *** extrusion-based printing,the versatility of the bioink was demonstrated by reconstructing the key features of several biological tissues,including multilayered lattice,vascular,nose,and ear-like structures,without the need for precrosslinking operations or support ***,the printed scaffolds were cytocompatible,elicited minimal inflammatory responses,and promoted bone regeneration in calvarial defects.

Artificial neural network-based method for discriminating Compton scattering events in high-purity germaniumγ-ray spectrometer

To detect radioactive substances with low activity levels,an anticoincidence detector and a high-purity germanium(HPGe)detector are typically used simultaneously to suppress Compton scattering background,thereby resulting in an extremely low detection limit and improving the measurement ***,the complex and expensive hardware required does not facilitate the application or promotion of this ***,a method is proposed in this study to discriminate the digital waveform of pulse signals output using an HPGe detector,whereby Compton scattering background is suppressed and a low minimum detectable activity(MdA)is achieved without using an expensive and complex anticoincidence detector and *** electric-field-strength and energy-deposition distributions of the detector are simulated to determine the relationship between pulse shape and energy-deposition location,as well as the characteristics of energy-deposition distributions for fulland partial-energy deposition *** relationship is used to develop a pulse-shape-discrimination algorithm based on an artificial neural network for pulse-feature *** accurately determine the relationship between the deposited energy of gamma(γ)rays in the detector and the deposition location,we extract four shape parameters from the pulse signals output by the *** learning is used to input the four shape parameters into the ***,the pulse signals are identified and classified to discriminate between partial-and full-energy deposition *** partial-energy deposition events are removed to suppress Compton *** proposed method effectively decreases the MdA of an HPGeγ-energy dispersive *** results show that the Compton suppression factors for energy spectra obtained from measurements on ^(152)Eu,^(137)Cs,and ^(60)Co radioactive sources are 1.13(344 keV),1.11(662 keV),and 1.08(1332 keV),respectively,and that the corresponding MdAs are 1.4%,5.

Flotation separation of feldspar from quartz using sodium fluosilicate as a selective depressant

The physical and chemical properties of feldspar and quartz are highly similar,thus they cannot be easily separated *** this work,the flotation separation of feldspar from quartz using sodium fluosilicate(Na_(2)SiF_(6);SF)as a selective depressant was ***,the influence mechanism of SF on the selective flotation separation of feldspar and quartz was investigated via flotation tests,chemical analysis of flotation solution,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIr),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and contact angle *** results of the flotation tests show that feld spar and quartz without SF treatment have good *** SF treatment,feldspar still has good floatability,whereas quartz has significantly reduced *** solution chemical analysis shows that the functional group plays an important role in depressing the quartz is[SiF_(6)]^(2-).FTIr,XPS and contact angle analysis results show that[SiF_(6)]^(2-)is adsorbed only on the surface of ***,a thin hydrophilic SiOF layer is generated on the surface,which interferes with the adsorption of the collector on the surface of the *** phenomenon leads to a significant reduction in quartz's ***,SF has a good ability to separate feldspar from quartz by flotation.

Effect of long reaction distance on gas composition from organic-rich shale pyrolysis under high-temperature steam environment

When high-temperature steam is used as a medium to pyrolyze organic-rich shale,water steam not only acts as heat transfer but also participates in the chemical reaction of organic matter pyrolysis,thus affecting the generation law and release characteristics of gas *** this study,based on a long-distance reaction system of organic-rich shale pyrolysis via steam injection,the effects of steam temperature and reaction distance on gas product composition are analyzed in depth and compared with other pyrolysis *** advantages of organic-rich shale pyrolysis via steam injection are then *** volume concentration of hydrogen in the gas product obtained via the steam injection pyrolysis of organic-rich shale is the highest,which is more than 60%.The hydrogen content increases as the reaction distance is extended;however,the rate of increase changes *** the reaction distance from 800 to 4000 mm increases the hydrogen content from 34.91%to 69.68%and from 63.13%to 78.61%when the steam temperature is 500℃ and 555℃,***,the higher the heat injection temperature,the smaller the reaction distance required to form a high concentration hydrogen pyrolysis environment(hydrogen concentration>60%).When the steam pyrolysis temperature is increased from 500℃ to 555℃,the reaction distance required to form a high concentration of hydrogen is reduced from 3800 to 800 *** with the direct retorting process,the volume concentration of hydrogen obtained from high-temperature steam pyrolysis of organic-rich shale is 8.82 and 10.72 times that of the commonly used Fushun and Kivite furnaces,*** pyrolysis of organic-rich shale via steam injection is a pyrolysis process in a hydrogen-rich environment.

Identification of Highly repetitive Enhancers with Long-range regulation Potential in Barley via STArr-seq

Enhancers are dNA sequences that can strengthen transcription ***,the global identification of plant enhancers is complicated due to uncertainty in the distance and orientation of enhancers,especially in species with large *** this study,we performed self-transcribing active regulatory region sequencing(STArr-seq)for the first time to identify enhancers across the barley genome.A total of 7323 enhancers were successfully identified,and among 45 randomly selected enhancers,over 75%were effective as validated by a dual-luciferase reporter assay system in the lower epidermis of tobacco ***,up to 53.5%of the barley enhancers were repetitive sequences,especially transposable elements(TEs),thus reinforcing the vital role of repetitive enhancers in gene *** the common active mark H3K4me3 and repressive mark H3K27me3 were abundant among the barley STArr-seq *** addition,the functional range of barley STArr-seq enhancers seemed much broader than that of rice or maize and extended to±100 kb of the gene body,and this finding was consistent with the high expression levels of genes in the *** study specifically depicts the unique features of barley enhancers and provides available barley enhancers for further utilization.

Coilia nasus,a migratory fish species found in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze river and along offshore areas of china,possesses considerable aquacultural and economic ***,the species faces challenges due to significant variation in the gonadal development rate among females,resulting in inconsistent ovarian maturation times at the population level,an extended reproductive period,and limitations on fish growth rate due to ovarian *** the present study,we combined genome-wide association study(GWAS)and comparative transcriptome analysis to investigate the potential single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)and candidate genes associated with population-asynchronous ovarian development in *** of the female population based on whole-genome resequencing yielded 2120695 high-quality SNPs,39 of which were suggestively associated with ovarian *** note,a significant SNP peak on LG21 containing 30 suggestively associated SNPs was identified,with cpne5a determined as the causal gene of the ***,single-marker and haplotype association analyses were performed on cpne5a,revealing four genetic markers(Pd seven haplotypes(r2>0.9)significantly associated with the *** transcriptome analysis of precociously and normally maturing individuals screened out 29 and 426 overlapping differentially expressed genes in the brain and ovary,respectively,between individuals of different body *** the GWAS and transcriptome analysis results,this study identified genes and pathways related to hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis hormone secretion,extracellular matrix,angiogenesis,and gap junctions involved in population-asynchronous ovarian *** insights gained from this study provide a basis for a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying ovarian development in fish and may facilitate the genetic breeding of *** strains exhibiting population-synchronous ovarian

Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is known as one of the most malignant tumors with high recurrence and fatality *** poor tumor-targeting ability of traditional chemotherapeutic drugs has been a grand challenge for anti-OSCC *** that,a large quantity of tumor associated macrophages in OSCC tissues further diminish the anti-tumor effects of these ***,we produced a therapeutic nano drug delivery system(FA-PEG-PLA-JQ1)through encapsulating JQ1[a small-molecule inhibitor of bromodomain containing protein 4(Brd4)]into the folic acid(FA)-modified nanoparticle(PEG-PLA),which could prolong the half-life of JQ1 and target the tumor *** then,JQ1 released from this nanoparticle could prevent OSCC growth inducing tumor cell apoptosis,inhibiting tumor angiogenesis and the polarization of M2 type *** conclusion,our date demonstrated the therapeutic benefits of FA-PEG-PLA-JQ1 against OSCC in vivo or in vitro,which could be a novel treatment strategy for OSCC in coming days.

High-pressure capacity expansion and water injection mechanism and indicator curve model for fractured-vuggy carbonate reservoirs

Water injection for oil displacement is one of the most effective ways to develop fractured-vuggy carbonate *** the increase in the number of rounds of water injection,the development effect gradually *** emergence of high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection technology allows increased production from old *** high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection technology has been implemented in practice for nearly 10 years in fractured-vuggy reservoirs,its mechanism remains unclear,and the water injection curve is not *** the past,evaluating its effect could only be done by measuring the injection-production *** this study,we analyze the mechanism of high-pressure capacity expansion and water *** propose a fluid exchange index for high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection and establish a discrete model suitable for high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection curves in fractured-vuggy *** propose the following mechanisms:replenishing energy,increasing energy,replacing energy,and releasing *** above mechanisms can be identified by the high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection curve of the well HA6X in the Halahatang Oilfield in the Tarim *** solving the basic model,the relative errors of reservoirs I and II are found to be 1.9%and 1.5%,respectively,and the application of field examples demonstrates that our proposed high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection indicator curve is reasonable and *** research can provide theoretical support for high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection technology in fracture-vuggy carbonate reservoirs.

Selection and application of four QTLs for grain protein content in modern wheat cultivars

The grain protein content(GPC)is the key parameter for wheat grain nutritional *** study conducted a resampling GWAS analysis using 406 wheat accessions across eight environments,and identified four previously reported GPC *** analysis of 87 landraces and 259 modern cultivars revealed the loss of superior GPC haplotypes,especially in Chinese *** haplotypes were preferentially adopted in different agroecological zones and had broad effects on wheat yield and agronomic *** GPC QTLs did not significantly reduce yield,suggesting that high GPC can be achieved without a yield *** results of this study provide a reference for future GPC breeding in wheat using the four identified QTLs.
