Tuning interfacial charge transfer for efficient visible-light-driven photodegradation and simultaneous H_(2)evolution

The edge-graphitized carbon nitride(C_(3)N_(4)-C g)was prepared by secondary pyrolysis to construct ZnO/C_(3)N_(4)-C g(ZCN)type-Ⅱheterojunction photocatalyst via a facile sonication dispersion method,which achieved∼7.04-fold and∼18.3-fold enhanced visible-light-driven photocatalytic performance for refrac-tory micropollutant removal and simultaneous hydrogen(H_(2))evolution respectively compared to con-ventional ZnO/g-C_(3)N_(4)Step-scheme *** apparent quantum efficiency of the ZCN_(0.4)het-erojunction reaches 0.92%(λ=420 nm).Such excellent performance stems from that the edge-graphene moieties stitched onto the interface of heterojunction extend light absorption to the full visible spec-trum,meanwhile,the built-in electric field generated during Fermi level alignment accompanying fa-vorable band-bending structure provides an effective pathway for the rapid migration of photoinduced electrons via the edge graphene channel to improve interfacial charge separation ***,the midgap states introduced in ZCN heterojunction could temporarily retain photoexcited electrons to effectively inhibit the in situ carrier recombination for improved photocatalytic H_(2)***,ZCN/peroxymonosulfate system exhibited excellent anti-interference performance against complex water bodies under visible illumination due to the synergistic effect between the co-existing anions and organic ***,the eco-friendly nature of the ZCN/peroxymonosulfate system showed no biotoxicity of reaction filtrate on cell proliferation after treatment,which avoided secondary ***-ering the outstanding performance in photocatalysis,the ZCN system exhibits broad potential for practical applications in water pollution control and green energy production.

Thermal comfort in a building with Trombe wall integrated with phase change materials in hot summer and cold winter region without air conditioning

Trombe wall and phase change materials(PCMs)are two effective ways to regulate indoor thermal ***,Trombe wall surfers from overheating in summer and PCMs suffer from low heat transfer rate caused by the limited thermal *** compensate the shortcomings of the two methods,this paper proposed a Trombe wall system integrated with *** on a light-weight building envelope in Changsha,China,the thermal comfort of 10 kinds of Trombe wall systems with PCMs with a melting temperature of 18-28℃ were *** the integrated indoor discomfort duration(I_(D)),integrated indoor discomfort degree-hour(I_(DH)),indoor air temperature(T_(in)),PCM liquid fraction(γ)and heat flux across wall(q)as evaluation indexes,the indoor thermal comfort was assessed in hot summer and cold winter *** show that the Trombe wall helped PCMs complete the phase change process *** wall with PCM25 next to the wall inner surface possessed the lowest annual I_(D) and I_(DH),as 2877 h and 12,974℃·h,*** with the values in a traditional building,the I_(D) and I_(DH) were reduced by 7.01% and 14.14%.In order to give full play to the heat storage and heat release of the Trombe wall with PCMs,PCMs with phase change temperature 7℃ lower than the peak ambient temperature in summer or 8℃ higher than the winter night temperature was recommended according to regional climate conditions.

In recent years,various kinds of cloak devices were designed by transforma-tion optics,but these cloak metamaterials are anisotropic and difﬁcult to *** this paper,we designed the isotropic cloak metamaterials based on the numeri-cal method of the optimization theory to the inverse medium *** method has universality,and it is not limited by the shape and type of the cloak *** isotropic material is easier to manufacture in practice than anisotropic material.A large number of numerical results show the effectiveness of the method.

Impact of anthropogenic activities on changes of ichthyofauna in the middle and lower Xiang River

With the population increasing,fish communities,as important components in the river system,were inescapably impacted by human *** investigate these impacts,we characterized the fish community’s composition by environmental DNA metabarcoding in the urban and suburban sites along Xiang River in central *** results showed that 32 species were identified,and most species were from *** analysis indicated no significant differences in fish communities among the three urban ***,significant differences were observed between the bank solidified and non-solidified areas,which indicated that the channelization significantly influenced the biodiversity and *** alien species,Clarias gariepinus,was discovered in all examined sites,and it was negatively associated with ten native ***,human populations and acidification were also negatively related to *** findings clearly showed that the consequences of anthropogenic activities shaped ichthyofauna and caused biodiversity loss in the urban river.

Influence of alkyl group of imidazolinyl-quaternary-ammonium-salt on corrosion inhibition efficiency

The action between imidazolinyl-quaternary-ammonium-salt(IQAS) molecule and Fe atom was studied, and the influence of the alkyl group connected with N atom of imidazoline ring on corrosion inhibition efficiency was explored. Quantum chemical methods, HF/6-31 G and HF/Lan L2 dz, were applied successively to calculate the parameters such as front molecular orbit energy of IQASⅠ-Ⅳ and chemical adsorption for IQASⅠ-Ⅳ and Fe atom. The corrosion inhibition efficiency was measured with the weight loss method of carbon steel samples in acidic solution and oil field sewage. Based on the theoretical analyses and experimental results, it is concluded that N-Fe coordination bond is formed between IQAS molecule and Fe atom, corrosion inhibition efficiency is decreased in the following order(from large to small): IQAS Ⅳ, IQAS Ⅲ, IQAS Ⅱ, IQASⅠ.

Genome-wide analysis of WRKY gene family in Arabidopsis lyrata and comparison with Arabidopsis thaliana and Populus trichocarpa

WRKY transcription factors are important molecules in regulating plant development and ***,the sequenced Arabidopsis lyrata genome allows us to characterize the number and structure of WRKY genes in this species.A total of 71 AlWRKY factors were classified into the previously defined polyphyletic WRKY groups I to *** exon/intron structure and motif compositions of WRKYs were highly conserved in each group,but tended to be different between groups and *** WRKY family has a set of genes similar to that in ***,but in Populus trichocarpa this family has expanded significantly,except for the subgroup III *** duplication and gene conversion events have played important roles during the evolution of the WRKY gene family in the three ***,the gene expansion events differentiated in WRKY subgroups during the evolution,and we have detected positive selection in several sites of the group III *** addition,this subgroup was the most structurally diversified in the WRKY *** study demonstrated that the group III members of WRKY gene families in ***,***,and *** have experienced different selection pressure during the process of evolution and this may have played a vital role in plant adaptation.

Carbon emission reduction analysis of CHP system driven by biogas based on emission factors

The cogeneration system of heat,power,and biogas(CHPB)driven by renewable energy provides an effective solution for carbon emission reduction in rural *** from fully meeting the energy demand of 17 new rural residential households in Lanzhou,considering the annual dynamic local climate change,energy consump-tion characteristics,and environment parameters,a model of environmental benefit index for the CHPB system is *** concept of emission factor is used to quantitatively analyze the environmental benefits of the *** equivalent CO_(2)emission factor is defined to connect emissions with energy output,evaluating the environment-friendly potential of energy supply *** with the conventional systems of indepen-dent power and thermal generation,the year-round characteristics of CO_(2)emission and emission structure chart of the proposed system are *** results show that the total CO_(2)emission and the average equivalent CO_(2)emission factors of the conventional and CHPB system are 85.45t,1.53 kg/kWh,and 308.46t,0.22 kg/kWh,*** maximum CO_(2)emission reduction ratio of the CHPB system is 113.47%.Anaerobic digestion technology is employed to consume biomass feedstock,which reduced CH_(4)emission(equivalent to 86.36t of CO_(2)emission reduction).Five typical cities were selected to study the regional adaptability of the system and analyze environmental *** results indicate that the CHPB system has the best environmental performance in Guangzhou,where the average CO_(2)emission reduction rate is 103.52%.

Preparation of Nanosized AlOOH and Its Application in Polymer-inorganic Nanocomposites

With industrial grade Al（OH）3 as raw materials, the self dispersion nanosized AlOOH crystal powder were prepared by the sol-hydrothermal method. The results of XRD and TEM show that the nanosized AlOOH could automatically disperse to a single-dispersing state in water without surface modification, dispersant, additive and accessional conditions （ultrasonic wave dispersing, ball-mill dispersing）. The application results of the product indicate that the nanosized AlOOH can be composed into a toughened nanocomposites without surface modification. Accordingly, the self dispersion characteristic and mechanism of hydrothermal crystallization and charging composite dispersion of nanosized AIOOH are found, and a new technique of preparing polymer/inorganic nanocomposites is proposed, which is called blending compositing new techniques of sol even dispersing at auasi-homogeneous phase.

Transmission electron microscopy of synaptic ultrastructural white matter damage in neonatal rats

BACKGROUND： To date, animal models of white matter damage remain controversial. Mild grey matter damage should be the basis for animal models to investigate white matter disease. OBJECTIVE： To establish white matter damage in neonatal rats and evaluate feasibility of the established model by observing myelination and synaptic ultrastructure. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： A randomized, controlled, animal experiment was performed at the Laboratory of Histology and Embryology of Guangzhou Medical College from December 2008 to May 2009. MATERIALS： H600 transmission electron microscopy was provided by Hitachi, Japan. METHODS： A total of 39 neonatal, Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned to normal control （n = 12）, sham-surgery （n = 12）, and white matter damage （n = 15） groups. White matter damage rats were subjected to right common carotid artery ligation, followed by inhalation of nitrogen oxygen gas mixture （6% oxygen） for 4 hours. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： Myelin sheath and synaptic ultrastructure in the injured （right） hippocampal CA1 region in 1-month-old rats were observed through the use of transmission electron microscopy, and pathological changes in the cerebral cortex and corpus callosum of the right hemisphere were detected by hematoxylin-eosin staining. RESULTS： Obvious tissue loss was observed in the corpus callosum of the injured （right） hemisphere. Injured oligodendrocytes and disrupted myelination were observed in the white matter damage group. However, synaptic length in the active zones, width of synaptic cleft, thickness of postsynaptic density, and curvature of the synaptic interface remained unchanged following injury, compared with the control and sham-surgery groups （P 〉 0.05）. CONCLUSION： The established white matter damage model resulted in changes in myelination and slightly altered synaptic ultrastructures. The model could function as an ideal model for white matter damage in neonatal rats.
