The application of omics technologies for understanding tropical plants-based bioactive compounds in ruminants:a review

Finding out how diet impacts health and metabolism while concentrating on the functional qualities and bioactive components of food is the crucial scientific objective of nutritional research. The complex relationship between metabolism and nutrition could be investigated with cutting-edge "omics" and bioinformatics techniques. This review paper provides an overview of the use of omics technologies in nutritional research, with a particular emphasis on the new applications of transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and genomes in functional and biological activity research on ruminant livestock and products in the tropical regions. A wealth of knowledge has been uncovered regarding the regulation and use of numerous physiological and pathological processes by gene, m RNA, protein, and metabolite expressions under various physiological situations and guidelines. In particular, the components of meat and milk were assessed using omics research utilizing the various methods of transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and genomes. The goal of this review is to use omics technologies—which have been steadily gaining popularity as technological tools—to develop new nutritional, genetic, and leadership strategies to improve animal products and their quality control. We also present an overview of the new applications of omics technologies in cattle production and employ nutriomics and foodomics technologies to investigate the microbes in the rumen ecology. Thus, the application of state-of-the-art omics technology may aid in our understanding of how species and/or breeds adapt, and the sustainability of tropical animal production, in the long run, is becoming increasingly important as a means of mitigating the consequences of climate change.

An overview and experimental analysis of WO3/TiO2 composite with enhanced electrochromic properties for smart windows application

Bismuth antimony telluride(Bi_(2–x)Sb_(x)Te_(3))is commonly used for thermoelectric generation at temperatures near ambient ***,we report incorporating reduced graphene oxide(rGO)and Cu_(2)Se_(0.98)Te_(0.02) into the Bi_(0.5)Sb_(1.5)Te_(3)(BST)(rGO/Bi_(0.5)Sb_(1.5)Te_(3-x)Cu_(2)Se_(0.98)Te_(0.02),where x=0.0%,0.1%,0.3%,0.5% and 1.0%,in mass)synthesized by a solid-state *** dispersion of rGO and Cu_(2)Se_(0.98)Te_(0.02) into the BST matrix improved carrier transport properties at the grain boundary interfaces and reduced thermal *** electron scattering at large interface barriers was responsible for increased electrical *** bulk sample of rGO/BST-0.3%Cu_(2)Se_(0.98)Te_(0.02)(in mass)possessed a low thermal conductivity of 0.76 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1) at 497 *** phonon scattering at grain boundaries between BST and rGO/Cu_(2)Se_(0.98)Te_(0.02) caused a low thermal *** 448 K,the highest zT value for rGO/BST-0.3% Cu_(2)Se_(0.98)Te_(0.02)(in mass)was 1.64,which is 37% higher than the zT value for pure BST(zT=1.19).Results suggested that incorporating rGO and Cu_(2)Se_(0.98)Te_(0.02) into the BST matrix effectively improved thermoelectric power generation.

Bamboo-derived hard carbon/carbon nanotube composites as anode material for long-life sodium-ion batteries with high charge/discharge capacities

Hard carbon derived from bamboo for the anode material of sodium-ion batteries has a three-dimensional(3D) open framework structure and has naturally incorporated K-ions into its carbon structure,increasing the dinterlayer spacing of hard carbon materials for facilitating Na^(+) *** this work,bamboo-derived hard carbon was prepared via two carbonization temperatures at 700and 1000 ℃ for an hour and employed as an anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIB).X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform(FT)-Raman spectroscopic results indicated the disordered structure with d-spacing(d_(002)) around0.36-0.37 nm,which is a benefit for sodium ion insertion/***,the composition between carbon-nanotube(CNT) and bamboo-derived hard carbon(BB) was synthesized by a ball mill with various contents of CNT(1 wt%,5 wt% and 10 wt%).At the optimal CNT content of 5 wt%,the sample exhibited excellent performance and outstanding *** the anode,the half-cell SIB using BB(700)w@5%CNT(with a carbonization temperature of700 ℃ and CNT loading of 5 wt%) delivered a high initial specific capacity of 268.9 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1C and capacity retention of 78.6% after 500 cycles at *** full cell SIB fabrication BB(700)w@5%CNT in combination with Na_(3)V_(2)(PO4)_(3) as the cathode demonstrated a high specific capacity of 127.6 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.2C with its capacitive retention remaining of 78% at 1.0C after 1000 *** attained storage performance indicates that hard carbonCNT composite anode material enhanced the conductive path of electron transport and provided long-term cycling *** good electrochemical performance as well as the low cost and environment-friendliness of the bambooderived hard carbon proves its suitability for future sodium-ion batteries.

With the increase in IoT(Internet of Things)devices comes an inherent challenge of *** the world today,privacy is the prime concern of every *** one’s privacy and keeping anonymity throughout the system is a desired functionality that does not come without inevitable trade-offs like scalability and increased complexity and is always exceedingly difficult to *** challenge is keeping confidentiality and continuing to make the person innominate throughout the *** address this,we present our proposed architecture where we manage IoT devices using blockchain *** proposed architecture works on and off blockchain integrated with the closed-circuit television(CCTV)security camera fixed at the rental *** this framework,the CCTV security camera feed is redirected towards the owner and renter based on the smart contract *** entity(owner or renter)can see the CCTV security camera feed at one *** is no third-party dependence except for the CCTV security camera deployment *** contributions include the proposition of framework architecture,a novel smart contract algorithm,and the modification to the ring signatures leveraging an existing cryptographic *** are made based on different systems’security and key management *** an empirical study,our proposed algorithm performed better in key generation,proof generation,and verification *** comparing similar existing schemes,we have shown the proposed architectures’*** now,we have developed this system for a specific area in the real ***,this system is scalable and applicable to other areas like healthcare monitoring systems,which is part of our future work.

The collision cross-sections(CCS)measurement using ion mobility spectrometry(IMS)in combination with mass spectrometry(MS)offers a great opportunity to increase confidence in metabolite ***,owing to the lack of sensitivity and resolution,IMS has an analytical challenge in studying the CCS values of very low-molecular-weight metabolites(VLMs250 Da).Here,we describe an analytical method using ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography(UPLC)coupled to a traveling wave ion mobility-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometer optimized for the measurement of VLMs in human urine *** experimental CCS values,along with mass spectral properties,were reported for the 174 *** experimental data included the mass-to-charge ratio(m/z),retention time(RT),tandem MS(MS/MS)spectra,and CCS *** the studied metabolites,263 traveling wave ion mobility spectrometry(TWIMS)-derived CCS values(TWCCSN2)were reported for the first time,and more than 70%of these were CCS values of *** TWCCSN2 values were highly repeatable,with inter-day variations of<1%relative standard deviation(RSD).The developed method revealed excellent TWCCSN2 accuracy with a CCS difference(DCCS)within±2%of the reported drift tube IMS(DTIMS)and TWIMS CCS *** complexity of the urine matrix did not affect the precision of the method,as evidenced by DCCS within±1.92%.According to the Metabolomics Standards Initiative,55 urinary metabolites were identified with a confidence level of *** these 55 metabolites,53(96%)were *** larger number of confirmed compounds found in this study was a result of the addition of TWCCSN2 values,which clearly increased metabolite identification confidence.

Valorization of durian peel as a carbon feedstock for a sustainable production of heterogeneous base catalyst,single cell oil and yeast-based biodiesel

The present study reports a successful attempt to produce single cell oil(SCO),heterogeneous base catalyst and yeast-based biodiesel from durian peel as a promising carbon feedstock by means of the waste-to-energy *** this purpose,first,durian peel(DP)was hydrolyzed by dilute sulfuric acid to obtain xylose-rich DP hydrolysate(XDPH)and post-hydrolysis DP solid residue(DPS).Candida viswanathii PSY8,a newly isolated oleaginous yeast,showed high SCO accumulation(5.1±0.1 g/L)and SCO content(35.3±0.13%)on undetoxified XDPH medium.A novel heterogeneous base catalyst(DPS-K)prepared from DPS by wet impregnation technique with KOH,exhibited considerable catalytic activity to convert SCO-rich wet yeast of *** PSY8 into yeast-based biodiesel(FAME)via direct transesterification with a maximum FAME yield of 94.3%under optimal conditions(6 wt%catalyst,10:1 methanol to wet yeast ratio,75℃,and 2 h).Moreover,most of the yeast-based biodiesel properties obtained from the FAME profiles were correlated well with the biodiesel standards limit of Thai,ASTM D6751 and EN ***,the energy output of FAME produced about 37.5 MJ/kg was ***,this present finding demonstrated the favorable strategy for sustainable and eco-friendly production of new generation biodiesel.
