Two-terminal(2-T)perovskite(PVK)/CuIn(Ga)Se_(2)(CIGS)tandem solar cells(TSCs)have been considered as an ideal tandem cell because of their best bandgap matching regarding to Shockley–Queisser(S–Q)***,the nature of the irregular rough morphology of commercial CIGS prevents people from improving tandem device *** this paper,D-homoserine lactone hydrochloride is proven to improve coverage of PVK materials on irregular rough CIGS surfaces and also passivate bulk defects by modulating the growth of PVK *** addition,the minority carriers near the PVK/C60 interface and the incompletely passivated trap states caused interface recombination.A surface reconstruction with 2-thiopheneethylammonium iodide and N,N-dimethylformamide assisted passivates the defect sites located at the surface and grain ***,LiF is used to create this field effect,repelling hole carriers away from the PVK and C60 interface and thus reducing *** a result,a 2-T PVK/CIGS tandem yielded a power conversion efficiency of 24.6%(0.16 cm^(2)),one of the highest results for 2-T PVK/CIGS TSCs to our *** validation underscores the potential of our methodology in achieving superior performance in PVK/CIGS tandem solar cells.

Evapotranspiration and its components partitioning based on an improved hydrological model: historical attributions and future projections

Estimation and attribution of evapotranspiration （ET） and its components under changing environment is still a challenge but is essential for understanding the mechanisms of water and energy transfer subsequently regional water resources management. In this study， an improved hydrological model is developed to estimate evapotranspiration and its components i.e.， evaporation （E） and transpiration （T） by integrated the advantages of hydrological modeling constrained by water balance and the water-carbon close relationships. Results show that the improved hydrological model could captures ET and its components well in the study region. During the past years， annual ET and E increase obviously about 2.40mm/a and 1.42mm/a， particularly in spring and summer accounting for 90%. T shows less increasement and mainly increases in spring while it decreases in summer. Precipitation is the dominant factor and contributes 74.1% and 90.0% increases of annual ET and E， while the attribution of T changes is more complex by coupling of the positive effects of precipitation， rising temperature and interactive influences， the negative effects of solar diming and elevated CO2. In the future， ET and its components tend to increase under most of the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways （SSP） scenarios except for T decreases under the very high emissions scenario （SSP5-8.5） based on the projections. From seasonal perspective， the changes of ET and the components are mainly in spring and summer accounting for 75%， while more slightly changes are found in autumn and winter. This study highlights the effectiveness of estimating ET and its components by improving hydrological model within water-carbon coupling relationships， and more complex mechanisms of transpiration changes than evapotranspiration and evaporation changes under the interactive effects of climate variability and vegetation dynamics. Homologous CoS2 interface with directed electron transfer and strong chloridion repulsion for efficient seawater oxidation

Seawater electrolysis is a highly promising method to produce high energy density hydrogen,especially in dry areas that have scarce freshwater ***,application of seawater electrolysis is confronted by two major problems associated with catalysts employed for the anodic oxygen evolution reaction （OER） including the competitive hypochlorite evolution reaction（HCER） and strong chloridion （Cl–） triggered *** studies aimed at overcoming these problems,a facile method has been developed to synthesize a homologous CoS2heterojunction as an OER *** to a difference in work functions at the interface and increased electron density,this material has directed electron transfer and strong chloridion repulsion properties,*** have shown that CoS2achieves low overpotentials of 289 and 322 mV at 10 mA cm-2current density in respective alkaline （1 M KOH） and alkaline simulated seawater ***,the outstanding stability of CoS2is reflected in a negligible decline in activity during promotion of the OER for 100 *** of density functional theory calculations reveal that the homologous CoS2heterojunction promotes directed electron transport for optimizing adsorption/desorption of reactive species and heightens the Cl-adsorption energy for strongly repulsing Cl-,phenomena that enhance OER performance in alkaline simulated seawater.

Morphologies and Mechanical Properties of Unsaturated Polyester Resin Modified with TDI

The morphology, mechanical properties of unsaturated polyester（UP） resin modified with TDI were studied via dynamic FT-1R spectra, SEM, DMA and mechanical property testing. Results show that companying with the cured cross-linking reaction of UP resin, TDI can firstly react with UP and produce polyurethane（PU）, and then UP and PU form the cross-linking nets together. The impact fracture section morphology of modified UP resin manifested the typical sea- islands structure. Testing of mechanical properties showes that for introducing of PU, the TDI has an obvious effect on the toughness and strength of UP resin. When the ratio of TDI/UP （w/w） was 7.5%, the modified UP resin exhibited the best mechanical properties with flexural strength of 125 MPa, impact strength of 18 kJ·m^-2 and tensile strength of 72 MPa.

Toughening Modification of Unsaturated Polyester Resin Using HDI Trimer

HDI trimer was firstly used to improve the mechanical properties of hydroxyl-terminated unsaturated polyester （UP）. Mechanical properties measurements performed on the cured materials demonstrate a distinct improvement in intensity and toughness in the presence of HDI trimer and shows the change trends of increase and then decrease. The morphological analysis of the fracture surfaces shows that the micro-phase separated structures appear in modified UPR systems and changed from dendritric, dimple and to cystiform structures with the increase of HDI trimer content. The presence of the cystiform structures made the modified UPR systems present the best properties.

Polymer-based smart fibers and textiles for wearable electronics

Smart fibers and textiles have attracted considerable interest for application in wearable devices because of their advantages of being human-friendly, lightweight, flexible, and comfortable. In addition, they are considered to have potential applications in health monitoring, energy management, and human-machine interaction systems. Polymers and polymer fibers,with excellent mechanical strength, wrinkle resistance, and heat resistance, are widely used to fabricate smart fibers and textiles. Herein, a comprehensive overview of polymer-based fibers and textiles is provided. First, we review the design principles of various polymer-based smart textiles, including textile-based sensors, energy capture and storage textiles, and computation and display textiles. Next, materials used for preparing polymer-based smart fibers, such as metals, carbon-based materials, and natural and synthetic polymers, particularly conductive polymers, are summarized. In addition, this review summarizes key technologies used for preparing smart fibers and the conventional structures of smart textiles. Furthermore, the applications of smart textiles in personal health monitoring, thermal management, energy capture and storage, and computation and displays are discussed. Finally, the current challenges, limitations, and future trends of smart fibers and textiles are discussed.

Down-regulation of eIF5A-2 prevents epithelial-mesenchymal transition in non-small-cell lung cancer cells

Background:Epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT) is believed to be the critical process in malignant tumor invasion and metastases,and has a great influence on improving the survival rate in non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC) *** studies suggested that eukaryotic initiation factor 5A-2(eIF5A-2) might serve as an adverse prognostic marker of *** detected eIF5A-2 in NSCLC A549 cells,and found that the invasive capability correlates with the eIF5A-2 ***:Transforming growth factor(TGF)-β1 was used to induce EMT in A549 *** blotting,immunofluorescence,wound healing assay,and transwell-matrigel invasion chambers were used to identify phenotype *** blotting was also used to observe changes of the expression of *** down-regulated the eIF5A-2 expression using an eIF5A-2 siRNA and identified the phenotype changes by western blotting and *** tested the change of migration and invasion capabilities of A549 cells by the wound healing assay and transwell-matrigel invasion ***:After stimulating with TGF-β1,almost all A549 cells changed to the mesenchymal phenotype and acquired more migration and invasion *** cells also had higher eIF5A-2 protein ***-regulation of eIF5A-2 expression with eIF5A-2 siRNA transfection could change the cells from mesenchymal to epithelial phenotype and decrease tumor cell migration and invasive capabilities ***:The expression of eIF5A-2 was up-regulated following EMT phenotype changes in A549 cells,which correlated with enhanced tumor invasion and metastatic ***,in the A549 cell line,the process of EMT phenotype change could be reversed by eIF5A-2 siRNA,with a consequent weakening of both invasive and metastatic capabilities.

A new type of composite CVT(continuously variable transmission) systemsfeatured by power flow divergence and dual-mode convergence, capable of improving CVT's efficiencyand power capacity or making AMTs(automated manual transmissions) become continuously variable, isstudied. With specific mechano-mechanical and electromechanical composite CVT systems as detailedexamples, its basic working principles are expatiated. General methods and key points in designingand realizing such systems are also analyzed and discussed.

Comparative study of the fabrication of ultrafine Ti(C,N)-based cermets by spark plasma sintering and conventional vacuum sintering

Spark plasma sintering (SPS) and conventional vacuum sintering (VS) wereemployed to fabricate ultrafine Ti(C,N)-based cermets. The shrinkage behavior, microstracture, andporosity and mechanical properties of the samples fabricated by SPS were compared with those of thesamples sintered by VS using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, universal testingmachine, and rockwell tester. The results are as follows: (1) The shrinkage process occurred mainlyin the range of 1000-1300 deg C during the VS process, and only a 0.2 percent linear shrinkage ratioappeared below 800 deg C; during the SPS process, a 60 percent dimensional change occurred below800 deg C as a result of pressure action. (2) By utilizing the SPS technique, it is difficult forobtaining fully dense Ti(C,N)-based cermets. Due to the much existence of pores and un-combinedcarbon, the mechanical properties of the sintered samples by SPS are inferior to sintered ones byVS. (3) grain size of the samples sintered by SPS is still below 0.5 urn, but not by VS; because oflow sintering temperature, there are no typical core/rim structures formed in the sintered samplesby SPS1; the main microstructures of the sintered samples by SPS2 are a white core/grey shellstructure, whereas by VS show a typical black core/grey shell structure.
