Structural damage detection(SDD)remains highly challenging,due to the difficulty in selecting the optimal damage features from a vast amount of *** this study,a tree model-based method using decision tree and random forest was employed for feature selection of vibration response signals in *** datasets were obtained by numerical experiments and vibration experiments,*** features extracted using this method were input into a convolutional neural network to determine the location of structural *** indicated a 5%to 10%improvement in detection accuracy compared to using original datasets without feature selection,demonstrating the feasibility of this *** proposed method,based on tree model and classification,addresses the issue of extracting effective information from numerous vibration response signals in structural health monitoring.

In a genome-wide association study,we identified a rice UDP-glycosyltransferase gene,OsUGT706D2,whose transcription was activated in response to cold and submergence stress and to exogenous abscisic acid(ABA).OsUGT706D2 positively regulated the biosynthesis of tricin-4’-O-(syringyl alcohol)ether-7-O-glucoside at both the transcriptional and metabolic ***706D2 mediated cold and submergence tolerance by modulating the expression of stress-responsive genes as well as the abscisic acid(ABA)signaling *** of function of OsUGT706D2 increased cold and submergence tolerance and loss of function of OsUGT706D2 reduced cold *** positively regulated OsUGT706D2-mediated cold tolerance but reduced submergence *** findings suggest the potential use of OsUGT706D2 for improving abiotic stress tolerance in rice.

Background:Artificial intelligence(AI)technology represented by deep learning has made remarkable achievements in digital pathology,enhancing the accuracy and reliability of diagnosis and prognosis *** spatial distribution of CD3^(+)and CD8^(+)T cells within the tumor microenvironment has been demonstrated to have a significant impact on the prognosis of colorectal cancer(CRC).This study aimed to investigate CD3_(CT)(CD3^(+)T cells density in the core of the tumor[CT])prognostic ability in patients with CRC by using AI ***:The study involved the enrollment of 492 patients from two distinct medical centers,with 358 patients assigned to the training cohort and an additional 134 patients allocated to the validation *** facilitate tissue segmentation and T-cells quantification in whole-slide images(WSIs),a fully automated workflow based on deep learning was *** the completion of tissue segmentation and subsequent cell segmentation,a comprehensive analysis was ***:The evaluation of various positive T cell densities revealed comparable discriminatory ability between CD3_(CT) and CD3-CD8(the combination of CD3^(+)and CD8^(+)T cells density within the CT and invasive margin)in predicting mortality(C-index in training cohort:0.65 vs.0.64;validation cohort:0.69 vs.0.69).The CD3_(CT) was confirmed as an independent prognostic factor,with high CD3_(CT) density associated with increased overall survival(OS)in the training cohort(hazard ratio[HR]=0.22,95%confidence interval[CI]:0.12–0.38,P<0.001)and validation cohort(HR=0.21,95%CI:0.05–0.92,P=0.037).Conclusions:We quantify the spatial distribution of CD3^(+)and CD8^(+)T cells within tissue regions in WSIs using AI *** CD3_(CT) confirmed as a stage-independent predictor for OS in CRC ***,CD3_(CT) shows promise in simplifying the CD3-CD8 system and facilitating its practical application in clinical settings.

BACKGROUND:Heatstroke has become a common emergency event in ***(PCT)is used as a biomarker of infection in the emergency department(ED),but its role in rhabdomyolysis(RM)following exertional heatstroke(EHS)remains ***:A retrospective cohort study enrolled patients with EHS from the intensive care unit(ICU).We collected RM biomarkers,inflammation markers,critical disease scores at admission,24 h,48 h,and discharge,and 90-day *** analysis,linear regression and curve fi tting were used to identify the relationship between PCT and ***:A total of 162 patients were recruited and divided into RM(n=56)and non-RM(n=106)*** was positively correlated with myoglobin(Mb),acute hepatic injury,disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC),Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)score,and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II(APACHE II)score,with correlation coefficients of 0.214,0.237,0.285,0.454,and 0.368,respectively(all Phigher mortality compared to non-RM cases(P=0.0093).CONCLUSION:high serum PCT concentrations are associated with RM after EHS in critically ill *** PCT concentrations should be interpreted cautiously in patients with EHS in the ED.

AIM:To address the challenges of data labeling difficulties,data privacy,and necessary large amount of labeled data for deep learning methods in diabetic retinopathy(DR)identification,the aim of this study is to develop a source-free domain adaptation(SFDA)method for efficient and effective DR identification from unlabeled ***:A multi-SFDA method was proposed for DR *** method integrates multiple source models,which are trained from the same source domain,to generate synthetic pseudo labels for the unlabeled target ***,a softmax-consistence minimization term is utilized to minimize the intra-class distances between the source and target domains and maximize the inter-class *** is performed using three color fundus photograph datasets(APTOS2019,DDR,and EyePACS).RESULTS:The proposed model was evaluated and provided promising results with respectively 0.8917 and 0.9795 F1-scores on referable and normal/abnormal DR identification *** demonstrated effective DR identification through minimizing intra-class distances and maximizing inter-class distances between source and target ***:The multi-SFDA method provides an effective approach to overcome the challenges in DR *** method not only addresses difficulties in data labeling and privacy issues,but also reduces the need for large amounts of labeled data required by deep learning methods,making it a practical tool for early detection and preservation of vision in diabetic patients.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries possess substantial potential for energy storage applications;however,they are hampered by challenges such as dendrite formation and uncontrolled side reactions occurring at the zinc *** our investigation,we sought to mitigate these issues through the utilization of in situ zinc complex formation reactions to engineer hydrophobic protective layers on the zinc anode *** robust interfacial layers serve as effective barriers,isolating the zinc anode from the electrolyte and active water molecules and thereby preventing hydrogen evolution and the generation of undesirable ***,the presence of numerous zincophilic sites within these protective layers facilitates uniform zinc deposition while concurrently inhibiting dendrite *** comprehensive evaluation of functional anodes featuring diverse functional groups and alkyl chain lengths,we meticulously scrutinized the underlying mechanisms influencing performance *** analysis involved precise modulation of interfacial hydrophobicity,rapid Zn2+ion transport,and ordered deposition of Zn2+***,the optimized anode,fabricated with octadecylphosphate（OPA）,demonstrated exceptional performance *** Zn//Zn symmetric cell exhibited remarkable longevity,exceeding 4000 h under a current density of 2 mA cm-2and a capacity density of 2 mA h cm-2,Furthermore,when integrated with a VOH cathode,the complete cell exhibited superior capacity retention compared to anodes modified with alternative organic molecules.

We demonstrate a low-noise,high-gain,and large-dynamic-range photodetector(PD)based on a junction field-effect transistor(JFET)and a charge amplifier for the measurement of quantum noise in Bell-state detection(BSD).Particular photodiode junction capacitance allows the silicon N-channel JFET 2sk152 to be matched to the noise requirement for charge amplifier *** electronic noise of the PD is effectively suppressed and the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)is up to 15 dB at the analysis frequency of 2.75 MHz for a coherent laser power of 50.08µ*** combining of the inductor and capacitance,the alternating current(AC)and direct current(DC)branches of the PD can operate linearly in a dynamic range from 25.06µW to 17.50 *** PD can completely meet the requirements of SNR and dynamic range for BSD in quantum optics experiments.
