NIR-II Organic Photothermal Cocrystals with Strong Charge Transfer Interaction for Flexible Wearable Heaters

The organic cocrystal strategy has provided a convenient and efficient platform for preparing organic photothermal ***,the rapidly directional preparation of cocrystals with desirable photothermal properties remains challenging due to a lack of suitable design ***,two new photothermal cocrystals,MTC and MFC,based on acceptor molecules(TCNQ and F4TCNQ)with different electron-withdrawing capacities were quickly prepared by the coprecipitation method,aiming to explore the effect of charge transfer(CT)interaction on photothermal *** with MTC,the stronger intermolecular CT interaction in MFC facilitates extending the absorption range(from the NIR-I to the NIR-II region)and enhancing the non-radiative transition *** the 808 nm laser irradiation,the photothermal conversion efficiency(PCE)of MFC is 54.6%,whereas MTC displays a mere 36.8%.The MFC cocrystal was further combined with a flexible polymer substrate(HPDMS)to prepare a flexible wearable heater(HPDMS@MFC),which exhibits excellent NIR-II photothermal *** work points out a research direction for the rapid assembly of efficient photothermal cocrystals and additionally provides an extensive application prospect for organic photothermal cocrystals in the field of wearable devices.

Multi-scale numerical simulation of fluidized beds: Model applicability assessment

In the past few decades,multi-scale numerical methods have been developed to model dense gas-solidflow in fluidized beds with different resolutions,accuracies,and ***,ambiguity needsto be clarified in the multi-scale numerical simulation of fluidized beds:(i)the selection of the submodels,parameters,and numerical resolution;(ii)the multivariate coupling of operating conditions,bed configurations,polydispersity,and additional ***,a state-of-the-art review is performed to assess the applicability of multi-scale numerical methods in predicting dense gas-solid flow influidized beds at specific fluidization regimes(e.g.,bubbling fluidization region,fast fluidization regime),with a focus on the inter-particle collision models,inter-phase interaction models,collision parameters,and polydispersity effect.A mutual restriction exists between resolution and *** methods need more computational resources and thus are suitable for smaller-scale simulations to provide a database for closure ***-resolution methods require fewercomputational resources and thus underpin large-scale simulations to explore macro-scale *** validations need to be further conducted under multiple flow conditions and comprehensivemetrics(e.g.,velocity profiles at different heights,bubbles,or cluster characteristics)for furtherimprovement of the applicability of each numerical method.

Superconducting thin films are widely used in superconducting quantum interferometers,microwave devices,*** electrical performance of a superconducting thin film is often affected by structural deformation or *** on four-point bending of a Cu-Be beam,we constructed a device that could apply uniaxial,*** strain to a superconducting thin film at both room temperature and the temperature of liquid *** thin film was placed into a slot carved in the Cu-Be *** optimized the size of this slot via numerical *** results indicated that the slot width was optimal when it was same as the width of the Cu-Be ***,the sample bended hardly after machining two slits along width direction on both sides of the slot.A YBa2Cu3O7-δSrTiO3(YBCO-STO)film was used as an *** was loadedby the aforementioned device to determine its electrical characteristics as functions of the uniaxial-uniform-compressive *** optimized design allowed the sample to be compressed to a larger strain without breaking it.

One-pot synthesis of graphene oxide and Ni-Al layered double hydroxides nanocomposites for the efficient removal of U(VI) from wastewater

Graphene oxide and Ni-Al layered double hydroxides(GO@LDH) nanocomposites were synthesized via a one-pot hydrothermal process,and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and Raman spectroscopy in *** exploration of U(VI) sorption on GO@LDH surface was performed as a function of ionic strength,solution pH,contact time,U(VI) initial concentrations and *** of Langmuir isotherms showed that the sorption capacity of GO@LDH(160 mg/g) was much higher than those of LDH(69 mg/g) and GO(92 mg/g).The formed surface complexes between surface oxygen-containing functional groups of GO@LDH and U(VI) turned out to be the interaction mechanism of U(VI) with GO@*** to the thermodynamic studies results,the sorption interaction was actually a spontaneous and endothermic chemical *** sorption isotherms were better fitted with the Langmuir model compared with other models,which suggested the interaction was mainly dominated by mono layer *** GO@LDH nanocomposites provide potential applications as adsorbents in the enrichment of radionuclides from wastewater in nuclear waste management and environmental remediation.

Binomial Proportion Estimation in Longitudinal Data with Non-ignorable Non-response

Non-random missing data poses serious problems in longitudinal studies. The binomial distribution parameter becomes to be unidentifiable without any other auxiliary information or assumption when it suffers from ignorable missing data. Existing methods are mostly based on the log-linear regression model. In this article, a model is proposed for longitudinal data with non-ignorable non-response. It is considered to use the pre-test baseline data to improve the identifiability of the post-test parameter. Furthermore, we derive the identified estimation （IE）, the maximum likelihood estimation （MLE） and its associated variance for the post-test parameter. The simulation study based on the model of this paper shows that the proposed approach gives promising results.

Performance Analysis of Non-Identically Distributed FSO Systems with Dual- and Triple- Branch Based on MRC over Gamma-Gamma Fading Channels

In this work, the performance of free-space optical(FSO) communication system based on maximal ratio combining using binary phase shift keying subcarrier intensity modulation over Gamma-Gamma fading channels has been studied systematically. Under identically or non-identically distributed branches, the analytical expressions for the bit error rate function of signal-to-noise are derived by expressing the modified Bessel function of second kind with Meijer G-function for dualand triple-branch systems, respectively. In terms of H-fox function, the new expressions have more general forms and are more efficient for computation. It is found that the dual-and triple-branch systems significantly outperform the direct link system under weak, moderate and strong turbulence conditions. Monte Carlo simulation is also provided to confirm the accuracy of the proposed model.

Tunable luminescence in co-doped Zn3Al2Ge2O10:Cr3+by controlling crystal field splitting and nephelauxetic effect

Ce3+/Dy3+/Tb3+/Eu3+/Mn2+and Cr3+ions co-doped Zn3 Al2 Ge2 O10 phosphor were prepared by a hightemperature solid-state method.X-ray diffraction patterns prove the cubic phase structure of prepared Zn3 Al2 Ge2 O10 phosphor,Emission,excitation spectra and decay curves confirm the tunable *** degrees of the decrease of emission FWHM in Zn3 Al2 Ge2 O10:0.02 Cr3+,RE(RE=Ce3+,Dy3+,Tb3+,Eu3+)and Zn3 Al2 Ge2 O10:0.02 Cr3+,Mn2+are *** reason of variable FWHM is the effect of crystal field splitting and nephelauxetic effect,and the nephelauxetic effect is ***,the emission FWHM decreases with the increasing concentration of Mn2+/Tb3+/Eu3+in Zn3 Al2 Ge2 O10:0.02 Cr3+,and for Zn3 Al2 Ge2 O10:0.02 Cr3+,Ce3+and Zn3 Al2 Ge2 O10:0.02 Cr3+,Dy3+,it is a *** variation of Zn3 Al2 Ge2 O10:0.02 Cr3+,Tb3+is more obvious than that of Zn3 Al2 Ge2 O10:0.02 Cr3+,Eu3+,because Tb3+ion has smaller ***,the tunable luminescence of Cr3+can be realized by co-doping different *** these phosphors have potential applications in light-emitting diodes for plant growth.

CLE Peptides in Vascular Development

The plant vascular system consists of two conductive tissues, phloem and xylem. The vascular meristem, namely the （pro-）cambium, is a stem- cell tissue that gives rise to both xylem and phloem. Recent studies have revealed that CLAVATA3/Embryo Surrounding Region-related （CLE） pep- tides function in establishing the vascular system through interaction with phytohormones. In particular, TDIF/CLE41/CLE44, phloem-derived CLE peptides, promote the proliferation of vascular cambium cells and prevent them from differentiating into xylem by regulating WOX4 expres- sion through the TDR/PXY receptor. In this review article, we outline recent advances on how CLE peptides function in vascular developmentin concert with phytohormones through mediating cell-cell communication. The perspective of CLE peptide signaling in vascular development is also discussed.
