Background：Nucleolin （NCL） is the most abundant RNA-binding protein in the cell nucleolus and plays an important role in chromatin stability,ribosome assembly,ribosomal RNA maturation,ribosomal DNA transcription,nucleocytoplasmic transport,and regulation of RNA stability and translation *** addition to its anti-apoptotic properties,the underlying mechanisms associated with NCL-related roles in different cellular processes remain *** this study,the effect of NCL on microRNA （miRNA） expression was evaluated by generating transgenic mice with myocardial overexpression of NCL and by analyzing microarrays of mature and precursor miRNAs from ***：Using microinjection ofalpha-MyHc clone 26-NCL plasmids,we generated transgenic mice with myocardial overexpression of NCL firstly,and then mature and precursor miRNAs expression profiles were analyzed in NCL transgenic mice （n =3） and wild-type （WT） mice （n =3） by miRNA *** Package for the social sciences version 16.0 software （sPss,Inc.,Chicago,IL,UsA） was used to perform student＇s t-test,and statistical significance was determined at P 〈 ***：several miRNAs were found to be differentially expressed,of which 11 were upregulated and 4 were downregulated in transgenic mice with myocardial overexpression of NCL compared to those in WT *** differentially expressed miRNAs were subsequently confirmed and quantified by real-time quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain *** analysis was used for the prediction of miRNA ***,in vitro experiments showed that NCL regulated miR-21 expression following hydrogen peroxide ***：Myocardial-protection mechanisms exerted by NCL might be mediated by the miRNAs identified in this study.

In this paper, we proposed a method to determine the nucleation effect of pre-existing crystals on crystallization of the second block in double crystalline block copolymers, which is usually covered by the suppression effect. The nucleation mechanism of poly（ethylene oxide）（PEO） block from the pre-crystallized polyethylene （PE） block in poly（ethylene-cobutene）-b-poly（ethylene glycol）（EmEOn） diblock copolymers was investigated under variable crystallization environments. The crystallization environment for the PEO block was altered by cooling at different cooling rates or successive selfnucleation （ssN） to the PE block. It was found that the presence of nucleation effect is strongly dependent on composition of the block copolymers. The crystallization temperature （Tc） of PEO block in E174EO90 increases as cooling rate applied to the PE block decreases, indicating that PE block can nucleate the crystallization of PEO block and more perfect PE crystals have stronger nucleation effect. In E182EO41 crystallization of the PEO block is confined, shown by the disappearance of selfnucleation domain, and the PE block has no nucleation effect on the crystallization of PEO block. Double crystallization peaks are observed for the PEO block in E182EO41 and the intensity of the crystallization peak at higher temperature increases as the PE crystals become more perfect. After exclusion of homogeneous nucleation mechanism, the higher temperature crystallization peak of the PEO block in E182EO41 is tentatively ascribed to surface nucleation.

Thin film morphology of a symmetric semicrystalline oxyethylene/oxybutylene diblock copolymer （E76B38） on silicon was investigated by tapping mode atomic force microscopy （AFM）. It is found that the nascent thin film is composed of multiple polymer layers having mixed thicknesses of L ≈ L0 and L ≈ L0/2 （L0 is the long period of the block copolymer in bulk） besides the first layer near the substrate. This shows that the crystalline domain in the block copolymer consists of double poly（oxyethylene） layers. Annealing leads to disappearance of the polymer layers with thickness L ≈L0/2, indicating that such polymer layers are metastable.

In this paper, we propose a new method to derive a family of regular rate-compatible low-density parity-check（RC-LDPC） convolutional codes from RC-LDPC block codes. In the RC-LDPC convolutional family, each extended sub-matrix of each extended code is obtained by choosing specified elements from two fixed matrices HE1K and HE1K, which are derived by modifying the extended matrices HE1 and HE2 of a systematic RC-LDPC block code. The proposed method which is based on graph extension simplifies the design, and prevent the defects caused by the puncturing method. It can be used to generate both regular and irregular RC-LDPC convolutional codes. All resulted codes in the family are systematic which simplify the encoder structure and have maximum encoding memories which ensure the property. simulation results show the family collectively offer a steady improvement in performance with code compatibility over binary-input additive white Gaussian noise channel（BI-AWGNC）.

Traditional cheap-talk game model with homogeneous information sources provided a conclusion that dishonest information sources will not be identified if he changes strategy stochastically. In this paper, the authors incorporate different information diffusion networks and heterogeneous information sources into an agent-based artificial stock market. The obtained results are different with traditional results that identification ability of uninformed agents has been highly improved with diffusion networks and heterogeneous information sources. Additionally, the authors find uninformed agents can improve identification ability only if there exists a sufficient number of heterogeneous information sources in stock market.

Cu/ZnO catalysts were prepared by the co-precipitation method with the addition of OP-10 （polyoxyethylene octylphenol ether） and were chemically and structurally characterized by means of XRD, BET, H2-TPR, CO-TPD and N20-titration. The effect of OP-10 addition on the activity of Cu/ZnO for the slurry phase methanol synthesis at 150℃ was evaluated. The results showed that Cu/ZnO prepared with addition of 8% OP-10 （denoted as C8） exhibited the promoted activity for the methanol synthesis. The conversion of CO and the sTY （space time yield） of methanol were 42.5% and 74.6% higher than those of Cu/ZnO prepared without addition of OP-10 （denoted as CO）, respectively. The precursor of C8 contained more aurichalcite and rosasite, and the concerted effect of Cu-Zn in C8 was found to be stronger than that in CO. Compared with CO, C8 showed smaller particle size, lower reduction temperature and larger BET and Cu surface areas.

The temperature rise caused by plastic deformation during the quick upsetting of tin-lead alloy and mild steel was investigated via experiments and numerical simulations aiming at a better understanding of the heat generation mechanism in friction welding. The results show that the compression amount and deformation temperature influence significantly the temperature rise during the upsetting of tin-lead alloy. The temperature rise increases with increasing the compression but decreases with increasing the deformation temperature. The simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental inspection for sn63A alloy. The simulation results of mild steel present a similar tendency with tin-lead alloy. Moreover, the temperature rise of mild steel at elevated temperatures is comparable to that of tin-lead alloy at low temperatures.

Hummingbirds have a unique way of hover- ing. However, only a few published papers have gone into details of the corresponding three-dimensional vortex struc- tures and transient aerodynamic forces. In order to deepen the understanding in these two realms, this article presents an integrated computational fluid dynamics study on the hovering aerodynamics of a rufous hummingbird. The original morphological and kinematic data came from a former researcher＇s experiments. We found that conical and sta- ble leading-edge vortices （LEVs） with spanwise flow inside their cores existed on the hovering hummingbird＇s wing surfaces. When the LEVs and other near-field vortices were all shed into the wake after stroke reversals, periodically shed bilateral vortex rings were formed. In addition, a strong downwash was present throughout the flapping cycle. Time histories of lift and drag were also obtained. Combining the three-dimensional flow field and time history of lift, we believe that high lift mechanisms （i.e., rotational circulation and wake capture） which take place at stroke reversals in insect flight was not evident here. For mean lift throughout a whole cycle, it is calculated to be 3.60 g （104.0 % of the weight support）. The downstroke and upstroke provide 64.2 % and 35.8 % of the weight support, respectively.

Acid deposition critical loads modeling for the simulation of sulfur exceedance and reduction in Guangdong, China

The current acid deposition critical loads in Guangdong, China were calculated using the PROFILE model with a 3 km × 3 km resolution. Calculations were carded out for critical loads of potential acidity, actual acidity, sulfur and nitrogen, with values in extents of 0-3.5, 0-14.0, 0-26.0 and 0-3.5 kmol/（***）, respectively. These values were comparable to previously reported results and reflected the influences of vegetation and soil characteristics on the soil acid buffering capacity. simulations of sO2 emission and sulfur deposition in this study showed that sulfur deposition core areas mirrored sO2 emission centers. The prediction of sulfur deposition after 20% and 40% reduction of sO2 emission suggested that the reduction of area sources contributed greatly to the decrease of sulfur deposition. Thus, abatement of area source emissions could be the primary way to mitigate sulfur deposition in Guangdong to meet both the provincial and national regulations of air pollution control.
