Pseudocapacitance boosted N-doped carbon coated Fe7S8 nanoaggregates as promising anode materials for lithium and sodium storage

Herein,the core-shell structured N-doped carbon coated Fe7S8 nano-aggregates(Fe7S8@NC)were controllably prepared via a simple three-step synthesis *** appropriate thickness of N-doped carbon layer outside Fe7S8 nano-aggregates can not only inhibit the particle pulverization induced by the big volume changes of Fe7S8,but can increase the electron transfer *** hierarchical Fe7S8 nano-aggregates composed of some primary nanoparticles can accelerate the lithium or sodium diffusion *** anode materials for Li-ion batteries(LIBs),the well-designed Fe7S8@NC nanocomposites exhibit outstanding lithium storage performance,which is better than that of pure Fe7S8,Fe3O4@NC and Fe7S8@*** these nanocomposites,the N-doped carbon coated Fe7S8 with carbon content of 26.87 wt.%shows a high reversible specific capacity of 833 mAh·g^−1 after 1,000 cycles at a high current density of 2 A·g^−*** above electrode also shows excellent high rate sodium storage *** experimental and theoretical analyses indicate that the outstanding electrochemical performance could be attributed to the synergistic effect of hierarchical Fe7S8 nanostructure and conductive N-doped carbon *** quantitative kinetic analysis indicates that the charge storage of Fe7S8@NC electrode is a combination of diffusion-controlled battery behavior and surface-induced capacitance behavior.

Formation Process and Thermodynamic Poperties of Calcite

The fast mixing of aqueous solutions of calcium chloride and sodium carbonate resulted in crystalline forms of vaterite and calcite under vigorous stirring. Then, the vaterite was transformed to pure calcite within about 180 rain. The crystalline forms all grew with experimental time increase. Scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FT-IR）, and X-ray diffraction spectroscopy （XRD） techniques were employed to characterize the as-prepared samples. The heat capacity of the stable as-synthesized calcite was determined by means of an adiabatic calorimeter from 80 to 390 K. The thermodynamic functions of the calcite were derived based on the relationships among the thermodynamic functions and the function of the measured heat capacity with respect to temperature.

Zinc acetate is used as a raw material to synthesize the desired ZnO in hot solvent by controlling the amount of citric acid(CA)***,the amount of CA added has a significant relationship with the control of the morphology of *** ZnO wrapped in nanosheets is synthesized through the secondary crystallization of Zn^(2+).The optical properties of the ZnO sample are tested through the degradation of organic ***,the photocatalytic properties of ZnO vary with the different amounts of CA *** of the active crystal face increases the photocatalytic activity of *** addition,the number of defects on the surface of the ZnO sample increases because of its large specific surface area,thus changing the bandgap of ***,the resulting sample can respond under visible light.

Thermodynamic Properties of the Azeotropic Mixture of Acetone, Cyclohexane and Methanol

Molar heat capacities of the pure samples of acetone, methanol and the azeotropic mixture composed of acetone cyclohexane and methanol were measured by an adiabatic calorimeter from 78 to 320 K. The solid-solid and solid-liquid phase transitions of the pure samples and the mixture were determined based on the curve of the heat capacity with respect to temperature. The phase transitions took place at （126.16±0.68） and （178.96±1.47） K for the sample of acetone, （157.79±0.95） and （175.93±0.95） K for methanol, which were corresponding to the solid-solid and the solid-liquid phase transitions of the acetone and the methanol, respectively. And the phase transitions occurred in the temperature ranges of 120 to 190 K and 278 to 280 K corresponding to the solid-solid and the solid-liquid phase transitions of mixture of acetone, cyclohexane and methanol, respectively. The thermodynamic functions and the excess thermodynamic functions of the mixture relative to standard temperature of 298.15 K were derived based on the relationships of the thermodynamic functions and the function of the measured heat capacity with respect to temperature.

Flavonoids of Rosa rugosa *** tumor proliferation and metastasis in human hepatocellular carcinoma HepG2 cells

Rosa rugosa *** recognized as both medicine and edible in *** article investigated the antitumor activity of rose ***-extracted rose flavonoids(RFW)and ethanol-extracted rose flavonoids(RFE)were achieved by extracting with distilled water and 70%ethanol,*** effects of the two extracts on proliferation inhibition,apoptosis inducement and metastasis prevention of human HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines were tested,via optical/fluorescence microscopy,MTT detection,Transwell assay,flow cytometry and Western blot,*** results indicated that rose flavonoids at low concentration(10-40μg/mL)had a better inhibitory effect on migration and invasion of HepG2 cells in a dose-dependent manner,while rose flavonoids at high concentration(80-160μg/mL)could induce apoptosis of HepG2 cells by up-regulating the expression of pro-apoptotic proteins p53 and Bax,and down-regulating the expression of anti-apoptotic proteins Bcl-2,leading to the functioning of caspase-3 and *** effect of RFE at the same concentration was significantly better than that of ***,this study found that rose flavonoids had a certain inhibitory effect on proliferation and metastasis of human liver cancer cells HepG2,indicating the application of rose flavonoids in preventing and treating of liver cancer.

Vertical dynamic response characteristics of single pile in non-homogeneous soil layers

A computational method and a mechanical model for evaluating the vertical dynamic harmonic response characteristics of a single pile embedded in non-homogeneous soil layers and subjected to harmonic loadings were established based on a certain assumption and the improved dynamic model of beam-on-Winkler foundation by using the principle of soil dynamics and structure dynamics. Both non-homogeneity of soil strata and softening effect of soil layer around the pile during vibration were simultaneously taken into account in the proposed computational model. It is shown through the comparative study on a numerical example that the numerical results of dynamic response of the single pile computed by the proposed method are relatively rational and can well agree with the numerical results computed from the well-known software of finite element method. Finally the parametric studies were conducted for a varied range of main parameters to discuss the effects of relevant factors on dynamic responses of the single pile embedded in non-homogeneous layered soils excited by harmonic loading with different frequencies.

Comparative Studies on Two 1,8-Naphthalimide Derivatives with Experimental and Theoretical Methods

Two 1,8-naphthalimide derivatives of 7H-benzimidazo[2,1,-a]benz[de] isoquino- lin-7-one（1） and 4-bromo-7H-benzimidazo[2,1,-a]benz[de]isoquinolin-7-one（2） have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, UV-Vis and fluorescence spectra. For the two compounds, density functional theory（DFT） calculations of the structures and natural population atomic charge analysis have been performed at the B3LYP/6-311G＊＊ level of theory. Based on Onsager reaction filed model and by using TD-DFT method at the B3LYP/6-311G＊＊ level, electron spectra of 1 and 2 with solvent effect in CHCl3 solvent have been predicted, which are in agreement with the experimental ones. Comparative studies on 1 and 2 indicate that introducing an electron-withdrawing group of Br into the 4-position of naphthalene ring in 2 does not significantly make the molecular geometry of 2 different from that of 1, but evidently changes the atomic charge redistribution, moves the positive-negative charges center and then changes the dipole moment in 2. Additionally, for compound 2, the existence of Br atom has also influenced the peak intensity and peak locations in both electron and fluorescence spectra.

Weight distribution of Preparata codes over Z_4 and the construction of 3-designs

In this paper,we calculate the number of the codewords(with Hamming weight 7)of each type in the Preparata codes over Z4,then give the parameter sets of 3-designs constructed from the supports of the codewords of each ***,we prove that the first two families of 3-designs are simple and the third family of the 3-designs has repeated blocks.

Reverse electrodialysis(RED),based on ion-selective membranes,is one of the most promising technologies for capturing osmotic *** key elements of the RED system,ion-selective membranes must meet the crucial demands of mechanical stability,anti-fouling characteristics,easy fabrication,and high power density;however,this still remains a *** this study,we demonstrated a large-scale,mechanically stable,and high-porosity membrane obtained by combining carbon nanomaterials and hyperbranched polyethyleneimine(h-PEI),thereby achieving a high power density of 5.0 W·m−2 with seawater and river *** nanofibers(CNFs)were subsequently bridged with graphene and h-PEI to strengthen the interaction between the CNFs,reduce the channel size and increase the space charge density,mechanical strength,and *** large-scale and mechanically stable membrane fabricated using the modified CNFs exhibited anion selectivity and high ionic conductivity,thereby achieving a high-performance osmotic energy ***,the anti-fouling property of the membrane was confirmed by the stability of the osmotic energy conversion in a solution with algae,which can be attributed to the high porosity of carbon *** economic and convenient method for the ion-selective membrane preparation is believed to be promising for large-scale osmotic energy harvesting.
