A bended ribbon biomass particle model was developed to explore the dynamic transport properties inside a riser *** time distribution(RTD)of the particles was analyzed by using the Eulerian-Lagrange *** effects of sampling height,particle density,particle size and gas-to-solid mass ratio on RTD were *** coupled Computational Fluid Dynamics and Discrete Element Method(CFD-DEM)model was verified firstly by experimental data on pressure drop and residence time distribution density *** simulation results demonstrated that the ribbon biomass particles display a typical annular-core spatial distribution during *** RTD of particles exhibit an approximate single-peaked normal *** mean residence time(MRT)can reach up to 0.7 s when the particle density is 1200 kg/m^(3).Particle with higher density has longer mean residence *** flow patterns are closer to plug flow if particle length over 12 *** particle flow pattern is not sensitive to changes in particle density and size,while the gas-to-material mass ratio has a significant impact on it.

The Nicotiana genus, commonly known as tobacco, holds significant importance as a crucial economic crop. Confrontedwith an abundance of herbivorous insects that pose a substantial threat to yield, tobacco has developed adiverse and sophisticated array of mechanisms, establishing itself as a model of plant ecological defense. Thisreview provides a concise overview of the current understanding of tobacco’s defense strategies against *** defenses, exemplified by its well-known tactic of secreting the alkaloid nicotine, serve as a potent toxinagainst a broad spectrum of herbivorous pests. Moreover, in response to herbivore attacks, tobacco enhancesthe discharge of volatile compounds, harnessing an indirect strategy that attracts the predators of the *** delicate balance between defense and growth leads to the initiation of most defense strategies only after aherbivore attack. Among plant hormones, notably jasmonic acid (JA), play central roles in coordinating thesedefense processes. JA signaling interacts with other plant hormone signaling pathways to facilitate the extensivetranscriptional and metabolic adjustments in plants following herbivore assault. By shedding light on these ecologicaldefense strategies, this review emphasizes not only tobacco’s remarkable adaptability in its natural habitatbut also offers insights beneficial for enhancing the resilience of current crops.

Bacterial species of the genus Lysobacter are environmentally ubiquitous with strong antifungal biocontrol ***-stable antifungal factor(HSAF)secreted by the biocontrol bacterium Lysobacter enzymogenes OH11 has broad-spectrum and highly efficient antifungal *** the biosynthetic regulations of HSAF would lay an important foundation for strain engineering toward improved HSAF *** this work,we demonstrate that Le0752,an orotidine-5´-phosphate decarboxylase enzyme(ODCase)catalyzing a pivotal step of the UMP de novo biosynthesis pathway,is vital for HSAF-mediated antimicrobial activities and growth of *** OH11,but not for twitching *** gene regulates the production of HSAF by affecting the expression of lafB,a key gene in the HSAF biosynthesis operon,through the transcription factor ***,bioinformatics analysis revealed that Le0752 belongs to the Group III ODCases,whereas its homologs in the closely related genera Xanthomonas and Stenotrophomonas belong to Group I,which contains most ODCases from Gram-positive bacteria,Gram-negative bacteria and ***,the Group I ODCase PXO_3614 from the Xanthomonas oryzae *** PXO99A strain complemented the Le0752 mutant in regulating HSAF-mediated antagonistic ***,these results highlight the important requirement of de novo pyrimidine biosynthetic enzymes for antibiotic HSAF production in ***,which lays an important foundation for improving HSAF production via metabolic flow design and for dissecting the regulatory functions of bacterial ODCases.

In response to the problems of low efficiency,high labor intensity,and low mechanization in manual tobacco harvesting,a comb-off tobacco picking device for southern hilly tobacco areas was designed following the agronomic requirements and the principle of manual picking of tobacco harvesting in southern *** device was composed of the power chassis,picking mechanism,and storage *** study involved the theoretical analysis,structural design,and modeling of the key components,such as chassis structure,combing-type picking mechanism,and power synchronization *** results of the motion analysis and calculation of the picking process demonstrated that the adjustment range of the comb chain elevation angles was from 12.4°to 20.9°,the comb rod installation distance was 76.2 mm,and the synchronizing mechanism transmission ratio was 3:***-factor test and three-factor three-level orthogonal test was performed with the forward speed of the chassis,the distance between the picking device baffles and the elevation angle of the chain with the combing bar as test factors,and the rate of broken and missed tobacco picking as evaluation *** was revealed that the optimal combination of the forward speed of the chassis,the distance between the baffles,and the chain elevation angle were 1.5 km/h,75 mm,and 12.4°,***,verification tests suggested that the breakage rate of tobacco leaves was 9.99%,and the probability of missed tobacco picking was 7.31%,both of which satisfy the agriculture requirements and the operational requirements in the agricultural machinery certification syllabus.

Influence of Ammonium Polyphosphate on Thermal Decomposition of Reconstituted tobacco and CO Evolution

The thermal behaviors and burning characteristics of reconstituted tobacco （RT） are strongly related with evolved gaseous products. The effect of ammonium polyphosphate （APP） as an additive of RT on the pyrolysis behavior and CO evolution was studied, emphasizing the role of heating velocity in reducing CO delivery of the mainstream smoke by APP. Thermogravimetric analysis （TGA） was employed to investigate the influence of APP on RT thermal behavior. Slow and flash pyrolysis of RT were compared to discuss the role of heating rate in decreasing CO by APP. TGA results demonstrated that, in dependence on APP concentration, APP influenced exothermal amount and weight loss rate during RT thermal decomposition, promoted the formation of char and retarded the thermal decomposition of RT. In addition, APP had a considerable influence on the evolution of gaseous products during thermal decomposition of RT. Both CO delivery per cigarette and that per puff in the smoking process were significantly reduced in dependence on APP content in RT. Comparative analysis of CO evolution patterns in the flash and slow pyrolysis elucidated that heating rate played a key role in decreasing CO evolution by APP. The results suggest that APP is a potential burning additive for controlling CO delivery in mainstream smoke of RT.

Effect of Precipitation Method and Ce Doping on the Catalytic Activity of Copper Manganese Oxide Catalysts for CO Oxidation

The influence of Ce doping and the precipitation method on structural properties and the catalytic activity of copper manganese oxides for CO oxidation at ambient temperature have been investigated. The catalysts were characterized by means of the powder X-ray diffraction and N2 adsorption-desorption, the inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry, the temperature programmed reduction, diffuse reflectance UV-Vis spectra, and the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was found that after doping little amount of Ce in copper manganese oxide, CeO2 phase was highly dispersed and could prevent sintering and aggregating of the catalyst, the size of the catalytic material was decreased, the reducibility was enhanced, the specific surface area was increased and the formation of the active sites for the oxidation of CO was improved significantly. Therefore, the activity of the rare earth promoted catalyst was enhanced remarkably.

Micro-encapsulated phase-change materials(micro PCMs) with Na_2 HPO_4·12 H_2 O encapsulated in poly(lactic acid)(PLA) shell were prepared by a solvent evaporation–precipitation method that involves the use of a coaxial needle. The effects of PLA concentration, stirring speed, injection rate of core and shell solutions, and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) concentration on phase change properties were investigated. The thermal properties of microP CMs were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). The capsules prepared under the optimal conditions are about 2 mm in diameter and show a latent heat of up to 122.2 J·g^(-1).

Synthesis of ZSM-5@ Ordered Mesoporous Silica Composites by Dodecylamine Surfactant

The core-shell structures of ZSM-5 coated with mesoporous silica were synthesized by means of dodecylamine（DDA） surfactant. The results show that the mesoporous silica shells are coated on ZSM-5 cores and result in the formation of hierarchical porous structures. The thickness of the coating shell can be controlled by changing the adding amount of TEOS. The core-shell composites with the thickness of 35 nm possess high surface areas（about 528 m2·g-1）, large pores（about 3.5 nm in diameter） on the silica shells. The composite molecular sieves display higher adsorption capacity for benzene（140.2 mg·g-1） and butyraldehyde（213.7 mg·g-1） than that of pristine ZSM-5 for benzene（99.2 mg·g-1） and butyraldehyde（134.7 mg·g-1）. The composite molecular sieves show a wide application foreground for harmful gas adsorbent for environmental protection.

Facile H2O2 Hydrothermal Synthesis of Bimodal Mesoporous Silica MCM-48 Spheres

The ordered bimodal mesoporous silica MCM-48 spheres were facile synthesized by mild- temperature post-synthesis H2O2 hydrothermal treatment of as-synthesized MCM-48. The results showed that H2O2 is indispensable for simultaneously removing organic templates and forming ordered bimodal mesoporous silica MCM-48 spheres. The bimodal mesoporous MCM-48 was characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron micrographs, FT-IR, and N2 adsorption-desorption, and a possible mechanism was proposed for the formation of bimodal mesoporous MCM-48.
