A low-frequency pure metal metamaterial absorber with continuously tunable stiffness

To address the incompatibility between high environmental adaptability and deep subwavelength characteristics in conventional local resonance metamaterials,and overcome the deficiencies in the stability of existing active control techniques for band gaps,this paper proposes a design method of pure metal vibration damping metamaterial with continuously tunable stiffness for wideband elastic wave *** design a dual-helix narrow-slit pure metal metamaterial unit,which possesses the triple advantage of high spatial compactness,low stiffness characteristics,and high structural stability,enabling the opening of elastic flexural band gaps in the low-frequency *** to the principle of a sliding rheostat,the introduction of continuously sliding plug-ins into the helical slits enables the continuous variation of the stiffness of the metamaterial unit,achieving a continuously tunable band gap *** successfully extends the effective band gap by more than ten *** experimental results indicate that this metamaterial unit can be used as an additional vibration absorber to absorb the low-frequency vibration energy ***,it advances the metamaterial absorbers from a purely passive narrowband design to a wideband tunable *** pure metal double-helix metamaterials retain the subwavelength properties of metamaterials and are suitable for deployment in harsh ***,by adjusting its stiffness,it substantially broadens the effective band gap range,presenting promising potential applications in various mechanical equipment operating under adverse conditions.

Highly sensitive fluorescent sensing and photocatalytic degradation performance of two-dimensional Tb-organic network

A novel tetra-nuclear Tb-organic network,named as [Tb_(4)(2-pyia)_(6)(HAc)_(0.5)(2,2'-bipy)(H_(2)O)_(4.5)]·2,2'-bipy·H_(2)O(1),was synthesized hydrothermally based on 5-(pyridin-2-ylmethoxy) isophthalic acid(H_(2)pyia) and 2,2'-bipyridine(2,2'-bipy) ligands,and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction,thermogravimetric(TG) analyses,powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD) and infrared(IR) technology.1 possesses a two-dimensional network based on the tetra-nuclear inorganic building units,and the π-πstacking interactions between the pyia^(2-) ligands and the guest 2,2'-bipy molecules play an important role in the forming of 3D supramolecular structure.1 exhibits excellent fluorescent sensing performance for Fe^(3+)(1.26×10^(-8) mol/L),Cr_(2)O_(7)^(2-)(8.1×10^(-7) mol/L),2,4,6-trinitrophenol(TNP)(2.71×10^(-8) mol/L)and tetracycline(TCT)(2.76×10^(-7) mol/L) in aqueous solution with lower detection *** sensing mechanisms of 1 were investigated by density functional theory(DFT) calculations,ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis) diffuse reflectance spectroscopy,PXRD and fluorescent lifetime *** activated product of 1 was prepared by heating at 255℃ under constant pressure and used to photo-catalytically degrade *** 1 and the activated one have good photocatalytic degradation performance for TCT with degradation rates of 84.29% and 96.07%,*** photocatalytic mechanisms were discovered by UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and radical trap *** Tb-organic framework might be an excellent multifunctional fluorescent sensor and a good photocatalytic agent for TCT degradation in the future.

Effective separation of coal gasification fine slag: Role of classification and ultrasonication in enhancing flotation

Effective separation of residual carbon and ash is the basis for the resource utilization of coal gasification fine slag(CGFS).The conventional flotation process of CGFS has the bottlenecks of low carbon recovery and high collector *** order to address these issues,CGFS sample taken from shaanxi,China was used as the study object in this paper.A new process of size classification-fine grain ultrasonic pretreatment flotation(SC-FGUF)was proposed and its separation effect was compared with that of wholegrain flotation(WGF)as well as size classification-fine grain flotation(SC-FGF).The mechanism of its enhanced separation effect was revealed through flotation kinetic fitting,flotation flow foam layer stability,particle size composition,surface morphology,pore structure,and surface chemical property *** results showed that compared with WGF,pre-classification could reduce the collector dosage by 84.09%and the combination of pre-classification and ultrasonic pretreatment could increase the combustible recovery by 17.29%and up to 93.46%.The SC-FGUF process allows the ineffective adsorption of coarse residual carbon to collector during flotation stage to be reduced by pre-classification,and the tightly embedded state of fine CGFS particles is disrupted and surface oxidizing functional group occupancy was reduced by ultrasonic pretreatment,thus carbon and ash is easier to be separated in the flotation *** addition,some of the residual carbon particles were broken down to smaller sizes in the ultrasonic pretreatment,which led to an increase in the stability of flotation flow foam layer and a decrease in the probability of detachment of residual carbon particles from the ***,SCFGUF could increase the residual carbon recovery and reduce the flotation collector dosage,which is an innovative method for carbon-ash separation of CGFS with good application prospect.

Tribological properties of low-temperature time-dependent pretreated graphite for mechanical seal pairs in high-speed turbopump

The friction coefficient and wear rate of pretreated graphite with liquid nitrogen were obtained by using a ball-on-disk tester,and the wear of GCr15–graphite seal pairs with the low-temperature time-dependent pretreatment was discussed by comparing the wear *** results show that liquid nitrogen pretreatment can affect the hardness and interlayer spacing of *** range of the friction coefficients of pretreated graphite changes from 0.17 to *** the increase of liquid nitrogen pretreatment time,the wear mechanism of graphite would change from dominated three-body wear to adhesion *** experimental results of the mechanical seal with liquid nitrogen pretreatment show that the wear rate of stator is less than 0.00165 mm^(3)·N^(−1)·m^(−1),and the graphite shows a good low-temperature compatibility.

Enhanced visible light absorption of Bi_(2)WO_(6)/SiO_(2) with abundant adsorbed oxygen for the degradation of organic pollutant

Heterogeneous photocatalysts exhibit high catalytic efficiency in the degradation of pollutants,but their stability and repeatability is not very good and requires high structural *** by nanosizing the pure Bi_(2)WO_(6)(BWO)photocatalyst without constructing a heterojunction,there is a significant improvement in its performance,with an enhancement effect of about 2.3 times(99.43%).The high photocatalytic degradation efficiency of the material can be attributed to the enhanced light absorption effect brought by the three-dimensional inverse-opal structure SiO_(2)(IS)and the abundant surface adsorbed oxygen generated after the formation of Si–O–W *** addition,the introduction of IS greatly increases the surface area of nanostructured BWO,which accelerates the charge transfer process,while the adsorbed oxygen promotes the participation of·O^(2−) in the photocatalytic reaction,thereby accelerating the consumption of photo-generated electrons and ultimately improving the separation of charge ***,the matched photonic bandgap further improves the absorption and utilization of light of the *** this work,we constructs Si–O–W bonds to obtain inverse-opal SiO_(2)/Bi_(2)WO_(6) with uniformly growth of pure phase nano BWO,which provides a feasible strategy for the preparation of high-performance pure-phase photocatalysts.

Resource utilization of drinking water treatment aluminum sludge in green cementing materials: Hydration characteristics and hydration kinetics

As a byproduct of water treatment,drinking water treatment aluminum sludge(DWTAS)has challenges related to imperfect treatment and disposal,which has caused potential harm to human health and the *** this paper,heat treatment DWTAS as a supplement cementitious material was used to prepare a green cementing *** results show that the 800℃ is considered as the optimum heat treatment temperature for ***-800℃ is fully activated after thermal decomposition to form incompletely crystallized highly activeγ-Al2O3 and active SiO_(2).The addition of DWTAS promoted the formation of ettringite and C-(A)-S-H gel,which could make up for the low early compressive strength of cementing materials to a certain *** cured for 90 days,the compressive strength of the mortar with 30% DWTAS-800℃ reached 44.86 *** dynamic process was well simulated by Krstulovi′c-Dabi′c hydration kinetics *** study provided a methodology for the fabrication of environmentally friendly and cost-effective compound cementitiousmaterials and proposed a“waste-to-resource”strategy for the sustainable management of typical solid wastes.

Renewable conversion of coal gangue to 13-X molecular sieve for Cd^(2+)-containing wastewater adsorption performance

Using coal gangue(CG)as raw material,a new type of all solid-waste-based 13-X molecular sieve material was controllably prepared by alkali fusion-hydrothermal *** synthetic molecular sieve was used as a solid adsorbent to treat Cd^(2+)-containing wastewater,and its adsorption behavior on Cd^(2+)in aqueous solution was studied and *** microstructure and morphology of the molecular sieve were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM)and specific surface area *** results show that the synthesized 13-X molecular sieve has higher Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET)specific surface area with higher crystallinity and higher adsorption capacity for the heavy metal Cd^(2+).The adsorption process of Cd^(2+)by molecular sieve conforms to the Langmuir isotherm adsorption equation and Lagergren pseudo-second-order rate *** with thermodynamic calculation,it can be concluded that the adsorption process is physically monolayer,spontaneous and *** this study,a low-cost and naturally available synthesis method of 13-X molecular sieve is *** with its adsorption mechanism for Cd^(2+),it provides a feasible and general method for removing heavy metal ions from coal gangue and also provides a new way for the utilization of coal gangue with high added value.

Analysis of application range of simplified models for field to thermo-field to thermionic emission processes from the cathode

Electron emission plays a dominant role in plasma-cathode interactions and is a key factor in many plasma phenomena and industrial *** is necessary to illustrate the various electron emission mechanisms and the corresponding applicable description models to evaluate their impacts on discharge *** this study,detailed expressions of the simplified formulas valid for field emission to thermo-field emission to thermionic emission typically used in the numerical simulation are proposed,and the corresponding application ranges are determined in the framework of the Murphy-Good theory,which is commonly regarded as the general model and to be accurate in the full range of conditions of the validity of the *** parameterization was used to evaluate the emission current density of the Murphy-Good formula,and a deviation factor was defined to obtain the application ranges for different work functions(2.5‒5 eV),cathode temperatures(300‒6000 K),and emitted electric fields(10^(5) to 10^(10) V·m^(-1)).The deviation factor was shown to be a nonmonotonic function of the three parameters.A comparative study of particle number densities in atmospheric gas discharge with a tungsten cathode was performed based on the one-dimensional implicit particle-in-cell(PIC)with the Monte Carlo collision(MCC)method according to the aforementioned application *** was found that small differences in emission current density can lead to variations in the distributions of particle number density due to changes in the collisional *** study provides a theoretical basis for selecting emission models for subsequent numerical simulations.
