Identification of Motor Nuclei in the Medulla Oblongata of Carp for Biological Control

Brain-controlled technology is the key technology in biological control,and the corresponding relationship between animal brain nuclei and motor behavior is the *** purpose of this study was to explore the motor nuclei of the medulla oblongata in *** carps were subjected to electrical stimulation and chemical stimulation experiments,respectively,in the water-free state,and the effective chemical stimulation sites were injected with the pontamine sky blue *** brain tissue sections were obtained by paraffin tissue section technology and the neutral red staining *** comparing the positions of the brain nuclei shown in earlier studies,the motor nerve nuclei in the medulla oblongata were *** brain electrode was implanted into the motor nucleus of the medulla oblongata,and the underwater control experiment and behavioral tests were carried out with different electrical stimulation *** results showed that the abducens nucleus(NVI)was the motor nucleus that controls the ipsilateral steering,and the facial nucleus(NVII)was the motor nucleus that controls the forward *** adjusting the stimulation voltage and the stimulation pulse number,the carp can be stably controlled to achieve a left–right steering motion of 30°–180°and a forward motion of more than 80 cm/*** study indicated that the quantitative control of the steering and forward behavior of the carp can be achieved by electrical stimulation of the NVI and NVII,which provided a certain experimental basis for the accurate control of the carp robot.

TCP-1,a novel peptide to diagnose early colon cancer

A nine cyclic peptide(TCP-1)showed excellent specificity for colon ***-1 binds with human tumor tissues at early stages and mice tumor with diameters of 1-4 mm,suggesting that TCP-1 may be used for early diagnosis of colon *** mechanism of the targeted binding of TCP-1 to colon cancer was also studied using immunoprecipitation,LC-MS and *** screening and identifying of the possible binding target proteins of TCP-1,keratin,typeⅡcytoskeletal 5 was speculated to be the specific binding target protein of TCP-1 in human tumor *** studies were conducted to investigate the target-mediated drug disposition of the new tumor-specific peptide by LC-MS/*** tissue distribution study showed that TCP-1 was found only in colon tumors(the target site)in tumor mice did not bind to any other *** TCP-1 to tumor markedly increased its removal rate from blood circulation but mildly extended its staying time in *** tumor mice,a lower AUC of TCP-1(reduced by almost 35%)and 2-fold higher clearance were found compared to that of normal *** proposed metabolic pathway of TCP-1 in the kidney was also determined using LC-MS^(n)-*** high specificity and low toxicity of the peptide may be caused by its extremely tight binding to the *** applications for future clinical use,including MRI and PET/CT were also explored,and this research may promote the development of colon cancer diagnostic technology research and provide new ideas and technical routes for tumor diagnostic technology.

Background:Risk assessment and treatment stratification for three-vessel coronary disease(TVD)remain *** study aimed to investigate the prognostic value of left atrial volume index(LAVI)with the Synergy Between Percutaneous Coronary Intervention with Taxus and Cardiac Surgery(SYNTAX)score II,and its association with the long-term prognosis after three strategies(percutaneous coronary intervention[PCI],coronary artery bypass grafting[CABG],and medical therapy[MT])in patients with ***:This study was a post hoc analysis of a large,prospective cohort of patients with TVD in china,that aimed to determine the long-term outcomes after PCI,CABG,or optimal MT alone.A total of 8943 patients with TVD were consecutively enrolled between 2004 and 2011 at Fuwai Hospital.A total of 7818 patients with available baseline LAVI data were included in the ***,procedural,and follow-up data were *** primary endpoint was major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events(MACCE),which was a composite of all-cause death,myocardial infarction(MI),and *** endpoints included all-cause death,cardiac death,MI,revascularization,and ***-term outcomes were evaluated among LAVI quartile ***:During a median follow-up of 6.6 years,a higher LAVI was strongly associated with increased risk of MACCE(Q3:hazard ratio[HR]1.20,95%confidence interval[CI]1.06-1.37,P=0.005;Q4:HR 1.85,95%CI 1.64-2.09,P<0.001),all-cause death(Q3:HR 1.41,95%CI 1.17-1.69,P<0.001;Q4:HR 2.54,95%CI 2.16-3.00,P<0.001),and cardiac death(Q3:HR 1.81,95%CI 1.39-2.37,P<0.001;Q4:HR 3.47,95%CI 2.71-4.43,P<0.001).Moreover,LAVI significantly improved discrimination and reclassification of the SYNTAX score ***,there was a significant interaction between LAVI quartiles and treatment strategies for *** was associated with lower risk of MACCE than MT alone,regardless of LAVI *** patients in the fourth quartile,PCI was associated with significantly incre

Design and performance simulation of a molecular Doppler wind lidar

A mobile molecular Doppler wind lidar at an eye-safe wavelength of 355 nm based on double-edge technique is being built in Hefei （china） for wind measurement from 10-to 40-km altitude. The structure of this lidar system is described. A triple Fabry-Perot etalon is employed as a frequency discriminator whose parameters are optimized. The receiver system is designed to achieve compactness and stability by putting in a standard 19-inch socket bench. Simulation results show that within the wind speed dynamic range of ±100 m/s, the horizontal wind errors due to noise are less than 1 m/s bdow 20-km altitude for 100-m vertical resolution, and less than 5.5 m/s from 20 km up to 40 km for 500-m vertical resolution with 400-mJ laser energy, 30-min temporal resolution, and a 45-cm aperture telescooe.

Structure of Complexes of Lanthanides with N,N′-Dimethyl-3-Oxa-Glutaramic Acid

A new stripping agent N,N-dimethyl-3-oxa-glutaramic Acid (DOGA) was used in TRPO process to simplify the TRPO process. The structures of the complexes of the DOGA with Eu(Ⅲ), Nd(Ⅲ), La(Ⅲ) were characterized with extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy (EXAFS), infrared spectra (IR) and mass spectra (MS). The molecular formula of the complexes of Eu(Ⅲ) and Nd(Ⅲ) is deduced to be M(DOGA)_3, and only La(Ⅲ) can form the complex HM(DOGA)_4 under condition of high consistency of the DOGA. The coordination number of Ln(Ⅲ) in the complexes is 8, and all of coordinated donor atoms are O atoms. For Eu(Ⅲ), Nd(Ⅲ), the coordination numbers of O atom in the first coordination shell is 6 and the average coordination bond lengths of Ln-O are 0 240 nm, 0 244 nm respectively, while the numbers of the second O shell are 2.4, and the average coordination bond lengths of Ln-O are 0 260 nm, 0 262 nm. For La(Ⅲ), the coordination numbers of O atom in the first coordination shell is 6 and the average coordination bond lengths of La-O are 0 258 nm, while the number of O atom in the second coordination shell is 4.4, and the average coordination bond length of La-O is 0 28 nm. The results of IR and MS show that there is no water coordinating with Ln(Ⅲ) in the complexes.

Preparation and Characterization of Nano-ZnFe_2O_4/TiO_2 Films

The nano-ZnFe2O4/TiO2 films possess the functions of desulfurization and degradation for organic pollutants. The sols of ZnFe2O4/TiO2 were prepared by sol-gel method and coated on glass and porous ceramic by vertical coating and dipping-lift processes, respectively, and the samples were obtained after drying and sintering. The composition, appearance, absorption spectrum of the films, and the influence of the film on porous ceramic performances were analyzed using SEM, AFM, UVVis spectrometer, and mercury porosimeter, respectively, to determine the operation parameters of the multifunction porous ceramic elements for gas-purification.

INFLUENCES OF ACID POST-TREATMENT ON THE MORPHOLOGY OF SOAP-FREE P(MMA-EA-MAA)PARTICLES PREPARED BY SEEDED EMULSION POLYMERIZATION

Soap-free poly（methyl methacrylate-ethyl acrylate-methacrylic acid） latex particles with narrow size distribution were synthesized by seeded emulsion polymerization, and the porous particles were created by a stepwise alkali/acid treatment method. Effects of acid treatment conditions on the particle morphology were investigated. Results show that one to three pores were formed inside most of particles after post-treatment. At pH 7.0, when the treatment temperature was lower than 70℃, the size of particles and the volume of pores remained almost unchanged, and these two values increased significantly when the temperature was higher than 70℃. Both the particle size and the pore volume decreased with the increase of initial pH value and treatment time in the acid treatment. As the pH was below 4.0 and the treatment time was longer than 180 min, the particles shrunk in size.

Mobile Rayleigh Doppler wind lidar based on double-edge technique

We describe a mobile molecular Doppler wind lidar （DWL） based on double-edge technique for wind measurement of altitudes ranging from 10 to 40 km. A triple Fabry-Perot etalon is employed as a frequency discriminator to determine the Doppler shift proportional to the wind velocity. The lidar operates at 355 nm with a 45-cm-aperture telescope and a matching azimuth-over-elevation scanner that provides full hemispherical pointing. To guarantee wind accuracy, a single servo loop is used to monitor the outgoing laser frequency to remove inaccuracies due to the frequency drift of the laser or the etalon. The standard deviation of the outgoing laser frequency drift is 6.18 MHz and the corresponding velocity error is 1.11 m/s. The wind profiles measured by the DWL are in good agreement with the results of the wind profile radar （WPR）. Evaluation is achieved by comparing at altitudes from 2 to 8 km. The relative error of horizontal wind speed is from 0.8 to 1.8 m/s in the compared ranges. The wind accuracy is less than 6 m/s at 40 km and 3 m/s at 10 km.

An integrated template of virtual product development alters primarilysequential tradition mode of product life cycle. The template integrates all processes of productdevelopment using digital modem. An environment of virtual product development provides productdevelopment environment of integration, communion, network, concurrent and collaboration. Combiningdevelopment of new rapier loom, an innovated design process is researched in virtual productdevelopment, which consists three portions: constructing an integration development environment,innovation design and manufacturing simulation. The innovated design process realizes reversedesign, mechanism concept design, structural design and analysis, performance analysis andmanufacturing process simulation of virtual product, which can enhance greatly product performanceand reduce cost and development cycle of new product.

Damage on HfO_2/SiO_2 high-reflecting coatings under single and multiple Nd:YAG laser pulse irradiation

The single- and multi-shot damage behaviors of HfO2/SiO2 high-reflecting (HR) coatings under Nd:YAG laser exposure were investigated. Fundamental aspects of multi-shot laser damage, such as the instability due to pulse-to-pulse accumulation of absorption defect and structural defect effect, and the mechanism of laser induced defect generation, are considered. It was found in multi-shot damage, the main factors influencing laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) are accumulation of irreversible changes of structural defects and thermal stress that induced by thermal density fluctuations.
