Potential application of radiant floor cooling systems for residential buildings in different climate zones

A radiant floor cooling system(RFCS)is a high-comfort and low energy consumption system suitable for residential *** floor systems usually work with fresh air,and their operating performance is affected by climatic *** and outdoor environmental disturbances and the system’s control strategy affect the indoor thermal comfort and energy efficiency of the ***,a multi-story residential building model was established in this *** system simulation program was used to study the operation dynamics of three control strategies of the RFCS based on the calibrated ***,the performance of the control strategies in five climate zones in China were compared using multi-criteria decision-making in *** results show that control strategy has a negligible effect on condensation risk,but the thermal comfort and economic performance differ for different control *** adaptability of different control strategies varies in different climate zones based on the consideration of multiple *** performance of the direct-ground cooling source system is better in Hot summer and warm winter *** variable air volume control strategy scores higher in Serve cold and Temperate zones,and the hours exceeding thermal comfort account for less than 3%of the total simulation ***,it is suggested to choose the RFCS control strategy for residential buildings according to the climate zone characteristics,to increase the energy *** results provide a reliable reference for implementing RFCSs in residential buildings.

Bismuthene,an inherently hexagonal structure characterized by a huge bulk gap,offers a versatile platform for investigating the electronic transport of various topological quantum *** nonequilibrium Green's function method and Landauer-Büttiker formula,we thoroughly investigate the transport properties of various Hall-type quantum states,including quantum spin Hall(QSH)edge states,quantum valley Hall kink(QVHK)states,and quantum spin-valley Hall kink(QSVHK)states,in the presence of various *** on the exotic transport features,a spin-valley filter,capable of generating a highly spin-and valley-polarized current,is *** valley index and the spin index of the filtered QSVHK state are determined by the staggered potential and the intrinsic spin-orbit coupling,*** efficiency of the spin-valley filter is supported by the spacial current distribution,the valley-resolved conductance,and the spin-resolved *** with a sandwich structure for QSVHK,our proposed spin-valley filter can work with a much smaller size and is more accessible in the experiment.

Controlled fabrication of Fe_(3)N@NG composites as superior oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalysts

We report the controlled fabrication of nitrogen doped graphene(NG)nanoplates,which are uniformly decorated with iron nitride(Fe_(3)N)nanoparticles,via ball milling of mixtures of graphite and iron nitrates and the following ammonia *** obtained Fe_(3)N@NG composites demonstrate excellent electrocatalytic activity and durability for oxygen evolution reaction,both of which outperform those of the state-of-the-art iridium oxide *** may be attributed to nitrogen doping as well as the synergistic effect between Fe3N and graphene nanoplates.

Identity-based strong designate verifier signature over lattices

The notion of the identity-based（id-based） strong designate verifier signature（SDVS） was extent to the lattice-based cryptography. The authors proposed an id-based SDVS scheme over lattices by using the basis delegation technical in fixed dimension. The proposed scheme is based on the hardness of the learning with errors（LWE） problem, and the unforgeability against adaptive chosen message and selective identity attack is based on the hardness of the short integer solution（SIS） problem in the random oracle model. If the parameters m, n and q are the same, the signature length of this scheme is only 3mlbq bits shorter than（3m＋n） lb q bits which is the signature length of the known lattice-based SDVS scheme in the public key environment. As a result, the proposed scheme is not only id-based but also efficient about the signature length and the computation cost. Moreover, this article also proposed an id-based strong designate verifier ring signature（SDVRS） scheme based on the proposed SDVS scheme, which satisfies anonimity, unforgeability.

Experiment study on RC frame retrofitted by the external structure

A new retrofitting method is proposed herein for reinforced concrete （RC） structures through attachment of an external structure. The external structure consists of a fiber concrete encased steel frame, connection slab and transverse beams. The external structure is connected to the existing structure through a connection slab and transverse beams. Pseudo- static experiments were carried out on one unretrofitted specimen and three retrofitted frame specimens. The characteristics, including failure mode, crack pattern, hysteresis loops behavior, relationship of strain and displacement of the concrete slab, are demonstrated. The results show that the load carrying capacity is obviously increased, and the extension length of the slab and the number of columns within the external frame are important influence factors on the working performance of the existing structure. In addition, the displacement difference between the existing structure and the outer structure was caused mainly by three factors： shear deformation of the slab, extraction of transverse beams, and drift of the conjunction part between the slab and the existing frame. Furthermore, the total deformation determined by the first two factors accounted for approximately 80% of the damage, therefore these factors should be carefully considered in engineering practice to enhance the effects of this new retrofitting method.

Pronounced interfacial interaction in icosahedral Au@C_(60) core-shell nanostructure for boosting direct plasmonic photocatalysis under alkaline condition

The unique hot carrier-driven direct plasmonic photocatalysis of coinage metal nanomaterials(NMs)via energetic localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)in visible-light region has been explored in recent ***,the low photoinduced electron transfer efficiency and insufficient separation of electronhole pairs would severely preclude their widespread practical ***,we demonstrate an interesting plasmonic photocatalyst based on the construction of icosahedral(Ih)Au@C_(60) core-shell NMs,taking advantage of specific delocalizedπelectrons structure of a tight C_(60) shell and enhanced LSPR property of Ih Au ***,the pronounced interfacial interaction at junction region endows the obtained Au@C_(60) NMs with an outstanding photoinduced hot carrier-transmission during photocatalytic reaction,facilitating a remarkably higher(1.89 times)photocatalytic activity toward visible-light driven degradation of crystal violet(CV)dyes,as compared to bare Au ***,the photocatalytic activity of Ih Au@C_(60) NMs can be effectively optimized by changing the p H value of reaction solution,with the kinetic rate constant reaching the maximum value of 0.179 min^(-1) in pH011.4 solution,while 0.005 min^(-1) at ***,due to the protection of a tight C_(60) shell,the Ih Au@C_(60) NMs also possess excellent photocatalytic stability/reusability in recycling runs,holding great potential for the design of robust and high-performance plasmonic photocatalysts in repeated practical applications.

Analyses on the stress in the carbon nanotube/Fe3Al composites were *** biphase interface valence electron structure was established on the basis of Pauling's nature of the chemical *** stress occurs by the huge interface electron density difference,which will block the Fe3Al grain agglomeration and *** the X-ray diffractions,the calculated magnitude of compressive stress existing in the CNT/Fe3Al interface is 0.38 *** experimental result verifies that the stress has a positive effect on the enhancement of mechanical properties of composite.

Spin Coulomb Dragging Inhibition of Spin-Polarized Electric Current Injecting into Organic Semiconductors

We introduce a one-dimensional spin injection structure comprising a ferromagnetic metal and a nondegenerate organic semiconductor to model electric current polarizations. With this model we analyse spin Coulomb dragging （SCD） effects on the polarization under various electric fields, interface and conductivity conditions. The results show that the SCD inhibits the current polarization. Thus the SCD inhibition should be well considered for accurate evaluation of current polarization in the design of organic spin devices.

Study of the lateral distribution of neodymium ions implanted in silicon

Due to the need to reduce electronic device sizes, it is very important to consider the depth and lateral distribution of ions implanted into a crystalline target. This paper reports that Nd ions with energies of 200 keV to 500 keV and dose of 5× 10^15 ions/cm2 are implanted into Si single crystals at room temperature under the angles of 0°, 30°, and 45°, respectively. The lateral spreads of 200 keV-500 keV Nd ions implanted in Si sample are measured by Rutherford backscattering technique. The results show that the measured values are in good agreement with those obtained from the prediction of SRIM2010 codes.

Network coding based all-optical multicast in WDM networks

Wavelength division multiplexing （WDM） has been becoming a promising solution to meet the rapidly growing demands on bandwidth. Multicast in WDM networks by employing free wavelength is an efficient approach to saving bandwidth and cost. However, the free wavelength may not identical between different hops in a multicast light-path, particularly in heavy load optical WDM networks. In order to implement multicast applications efficiently, a network coding （NC） technique was introduced into all-optical WDM multicast networks to solve wavelength collision problem between the multicast request and the unicast request. Compared with the wavelength conversion based optical multicast, the network coding based optical multicast can achieve better multicast performance with paying lower cost.
