Substituent engineering in g-C_(3)N_(4)/COF heterojunctions for rapid charge separation and high photo-redox activity

The heterojunction composed of covalent organic frameworks(COFs)with adjustable structure and other photocatalysts has great potential in the field of ***,effectively enhancing the photocatalytic performance of organic heterojunctions by designing the structure of COFs has not been ***,TPB-TP-COFs fabricated from 1,3,5-tris(4-amino-phenyl)benzene(TPB)and terephthalaldehyde(TP)with different substituents(−H,−OH,−OCH_(3),−Br and−F groups),were applied to construct g-C_(3)N_(4)/*** performance improvement of the heterojunction could be affected by substituents,and only−OCH_(3) groups can significantly improve both the photocatalytic phenol oxidation and Cr(Ⅵ)*** calculation demonstrated that the substituents will affect the electron cloud distribution of CBM,and the location of CBM in the TPB segment is beneficial for the charge transport between TPB-TP-OCH_(3) and g-C_(3)N_(4).The enhanced charge transfer from g-C_(3)N_(4) to TPB segment and the improved light absorption of TPB-TP-OCH_(3) jointly optimize the photocatalytic redox capacity of g-C_(3)N_(4)/TPB-TP-OCH_(3).On the basis of this study,regulating the electronic effects of semiconductors played a vital role in improving photocatalytic performance in organic heterojunctions.

Hepatitis B genotypes: Relation to clinical outcome in patients with chronic hepatitis B in saudi Arabia

AIM： To identify the most common hepatitis B virus （HBV） genob/pe in saudi Arabia, and correlate the prevailing genob/pes with the clinical outcome of patients. METHODS： Patients were consecutively recruited from the hepatology clinics of two tertiary care referral centers. Patients were categorized into 4 different groups： group 1, patients with hepatitis B and normal liver enzymes; group 2, patients with hepatitis B and abnormal liver enzymes but without cirrhosis; group 3, patients with hepatitis B and liver cirrhosis; group 4, patients with hepatitis B and hepatocellular carcinoma. All patients had a positive hepatitis B surface antigen （HBsAg）. Genob/ping of HBV was performed by nested PCR-mediated amplification of the target sequence and hybridization with sequence-specific oligonucleotides. RESULTS： Seventy patients were enrolled in this study. They were predominantly male （72.9%） in their midforty＇s （mean age 47 years）. Forty-nine （70%） patients were hepatitis B envelope antigen （HBeAg） negative. The majority of patients （64%） acquired HBV through unknown risk factors. Hepatitis B genob/ping revealed that 57 patients （81.4%） were genob/pe D, 1 patient （1.4%） had genob/pe A, 1 patient （1.4%） had genotype C, and 4 patients （5.7%） had genob/pe E, while 7 patients （10%） had mixed genob/pe （4 patients ADG, 1 patient DE, 1 patient DF, and 1 patient ADFG）. Based on univariate analysis of genob/pe D patients, significant predictors of advanced liver disease were age, gender, aspartate transaminase, alanine transaminase, albumin,bilirubin, and alkaline phosphatase （all P 〈 0.001）. In multivariate analysis decreased hemoglobin （r = -0.05; 95% CI： -0.08 to -0.03; P = 0.001） and albumin levels （r = -0.004; 95% CI： -0.007 to -0.001; P = 0.002） were highly significant predictors of advanced liver disease. In patients with HBV genotype D, HBeAg negativity was found to increase across advancing stages of liver disease （P = 0.024）. CONCLUSION： This study highlights tha

The intensity of the green line(Fe ⅩⅣ 5303 A) is the strongest in the visible spectrum of the solar corona,and this line has been used as long-term powerful diagnostic tools for studying the coronal configurations and hot plasma ***,it remains unclear and an open question whether there exists close relationship between the green line intensities and the coronal extreme ultraviolet(EUV) line emissions for various coronal *** this paper,we use the green-line data by the Lijiang YOGIS Lyot coronagraph and the EUV data from the Solar Dynamics Observatory/Atmospheric Imaging Assembly instruments in order to perform direct comparisons and analyses,based on two algorithms developed to extract particular features in the low *** is found that,among the correlation coefficients obtained between the intensities of 5303 A and the EUV lines,the coefficients between the green line and the 211 A wavelength for different coronal structures and different limb locations always keep the highest values(ranging from 0.89 to 0.99),which has not been reported *** result can be helpful and promising to link together the various physical processes involved at different heights in the corona by precisely tracking the bright loops or other features observed in 5303 A above the limb down to the correct surface locations revealed by the 211 A ***,the ground-based observations of the coronal green line and the space-based EUV observations at 211 A can advantageously complement each other when there is a need.

Protective Effects of Estradiol on Myocardial Contractile Function Following Hemorrhagic Shock and Resuscitation in Rats

Background： Hemorrhagic shock （HS） results in myocardial contractile dysfunction. Studies showed that 17β-estradiol protects the myocardium against contractile dysfunction. The study investigated the cardioprotective effects of treatment with 17β-estradiol before resuscitation following 1 h of HS and resuscitation. Methods： Male Sprague-Dawley rats were assigned to 2 sets of experimental protocols： Ex vivo and in vivo treatment and resuscitation. Each set had three experimental groups （n = 6 per group）： Normotensive （N）, HS and resuscitation （HS-R） and HS rats treated with 17β-estradiol （E） and resuscitated （HS-E-R）. Rats were hemorrhaged over 60-rain to reach a mean arterial blood pressure of 40 mmHg. In the ex vivo group, hearts were resuscitated by perfusion in the Langendorff system. In the 17β-estradiol treated group, 17β-estradiol 280 μg/kg was added for the first 5 min. Cardiac function was measured. Left ventricular generated pressure （LVGP） and ＋dP/dt were calculated. In the in vivo group, rats were treated with 17β-estradiol 280 ±g/kg s.c. after 60-rain HS. Resuscitation was performed in vivo by the reinfusion of the shed blood for 30-min to restore normotension. Results： Treatment with 17β-estradiol before resuscitation in ex vivo treated and resuscitated isolated hearts and in the in vivo treated and resuscitated rats following HS improved myocardial contractile function. In the in vivo treated group, LVGP and ＋dP/dt max were significantly higher in 17β-estradiol treated rats compared to the untreated group （LVGP 136.40 ± 6.61 compared to 47.58 ± 17.55, and ＋dP/dt 661.85 ± 49.88 compared to 88.18 ± 0.85）. Treatment with 17β-estradiol improved LVGP following HS. Conclusions： The results indicate that treatment with 17β-estradiol before resuscitation following HS protects the myocardium against dysfunction.

The effect of replacing the anion from N to Bi down the group in the periodic table is investigated on SrMg2X2（X = N,P,As,Sb,Bi）.A full potential linearized augmented plane wave plus local orbitals method is used along with different exchange–correlation potentials to obtain the lattice constants,phonons,electronic,and optical properties of the Sr Mg2X2（X = N,P,As,Sb,Bi） Zintl compounds.A good agreement is achieved and our calculations are validated by previous experimental and theoretical *** compounds have shown stable dynamical behavior with gamma centered longitudinal response having no imaginary *** band structures reveal the semiconducting nature of the *** Pnictogen（X）-p state contributed mainly in the valence band and the Sr-d state forms the conduction of the *** charge transfer and low overlapping of the atomic densities indicates the preferable ionic bonding character of these *** the optical properties,real and imaginary parts of dielectric function,complex refractive index,birefringence,reflectivity,and optical conductivity are *** compounds can be utilized in the optical and optoelectronic devices.

The Darwin plant, also known as the Venus flytrap, Dionaea muscipula, has fascinated people since Darwin＇s time. The plant lives in nutrient-poor habitats but has been able to overcome the limitations of its surroundings by evolving a carnivorous lifestyle, particularly by modifying its leaves into active traps to catch animals. When flies, ants, or other small animals touch mechano-sensitive hairs protruding from the inner surface of the bi-lobed trap, it shuts within a fraction of a second.

Abscisic acid(ABA)is an important carotenoid-derived phytohormone that plays essential roles in plant response to biotic and abiotic stresses as well as in various physiological and developmental *** Arabidopsis,ABA biosynthesis starts with the epoxidation of zeaxanthin by the ABA DEFICIENT 1(ABA1)enzyme,leading to epoxycarotenoids;e.g.,*** oxidative cleavage of 9-cis-epoxycaro-tenoids,a key regulatory step catalyzed by 9-C/S-EPOXYCAROTENOID DIOXYGENASE,forms xanthoxin,which is converted in further *** mediated by ABA DEFICIENT 2(ABA2),ABA DEFICIENT 3(ABA3),and ABSCISIC ALDEHYDE OXIDASE 3(AAO3)into *** combining genetic and biochemical approaches,we unravel here an ABA1-independent ABA biosynthetic pathway starting upstream of *** iden-tified the carotenoid cleavage products(i.e.,apocarotenoids,β-apo-11-carotenal,9-cis-β-apo-11-carotenal,3-OH-β-apo-11-carotenal,and 9-cis-3-OH-β-apo-11-carotenal)as intermediates of this ABA1-independent ABA biosynthetic *** labeled compounds,we showed thatβ-apo-11-carotenal,9-cis-β-apo-11-carotenal,and 3-OH-β-apo-11-carotenal are successively converted into 9-cis-3-OH-β-apo-11-carotenal,xanthoxin,and finally into ABA in both Arabidopsis and *** applied to Arabidopsis,theseβ-apo-11-carotenoids exert ABA biological functions,such as maintaining seed dormancy and inducing the expression of ABA-responsive ***,the transcdptomic analysis revealed a high overlap of differentially expressed genes regulated byβ-apo-11-carotenoids and ABA,suggesting thatβ-apo-11-carot-enoids exert ABA-independent regulatory *** together,our study identifies a biological function for the common plant metabolites,β-apo-11-carotenoids,extends our knowledge about ABA biosynthesis,and provides new insights into plant apocarotenoid metabolic networks.
