This paper aims to inquiry on the dialectical relationships between Chinese architecture’s form and function in the horizon of long-term historical evolution,by clarifying how the histories of imperial main halls and state ceremonies relate to and interact with each other during the Tang and Song *** imperialmain halls are themost archetypical and accomplished ones among traditional Chinese buildings,and their function is primarily ritual rather than *** these magnificent buildings are indisputably considered the crowning achievement of Chinese architectural history,how the built space cooperates with ritual practices did not receive deserved *** the thorough reading of voluminous official ritual documents and comprehensive utilization of archaeological discoveries together with visual materials,the research presents a broad understanding of the asynchronous developments of the ground-level architectural arrangement and the ritual configuration across these *** specifically depicted are details of how architecture engaged in the ritual narration and was used as an apparatus to articulate emperor-courtier relationships.

Crystal defects formed in electroformed nickel liners of shaped charges

Two types of electroformed nickel liners of shaped charges were prepared by electroforming technique. X-ray diffraction （XRD）, transmission electron microscopy （TEM）, electron backscattering diffraction （EBSD） technique and high resolution electron microscopy （HREM） have been employed to investigate the crystal defects formed in electroformed nickel liners of shaped charges. The result shows that （100） fiber texture which is parallel to the grown direction exists in the electroformed nickel prepared by using direct current electroforming without any additives, and （111） fiber texture exists in the electroformed nickel prepared by using direct current electroforming with additives. The deposits prepared by using direct current electroforming possess columnar grain with an average grain size of 30 μm in width and 170 μm in length. The deposits prepared with additives are composed of a colony structures with grain size of about 29 nm, and a lot of crystal defects such as twins, antiphase boundaries and stacking faults have been observed in the electroformed nickel.

A recently developed B-spline algorithm is extended and utilized to calculate excited states of He atoms in the presence of strong magnetic *** energies are presented for He in the five excited atomic states 210-+,110-,210-,11(-1)+,and 2 1(1) + with magnetic field strength ranging from 0.0001 to 10 *** obtained energies are compared with available theoretical data,and found to be in good *** investigate influence of magnetic fields on atomic structures of multielectron atoms,and illustrate that how electron probability density distributions change with increasing magnetic field *** current approach is directly applicable to simulations of discrete spectra for He atoms in the atmospheres of magnetized white dwarf stars.

The Impact of Mid- and High-Latitude Rossby Wave Activities on the Medium-Range Evolution of the EAP Pattern During the Pre-Rainy Period of South China

Based on the NCEP DOE AMIP II daily reanalysis data （1979-2005）, the evolution of the East Asia/Pacific （EAP） teleconnection pattern during the pre-rainy period of South China is studied on the medium-range time scale. It is found that positive and negative EAP patterns share a similar generation process. In the middle and upper troposphere, Rossby wave packets emanating from the northeast Atlantic or Europe propagate toward East Asia along the Eurasian continent waveguide and finally give rise to the three anomaly centers of the EAP pattern over East Asia. Among the three anomaly centers, the western Pacific subtropical center appears the latest. Rossby wave packets propagate from the high latitude anomaly center toward the mid-latitude and the subtropical ones. The enhancement and maintenance of the subtropical anomaly center is closely associated with the subtropical jet waveguide and the incoming Rossby wave packets from the upstream. In the lower troposphere, Rossby wave packets emanate from the subtropical Asia toward East Asia. Positive and negative EAP patterns could not be regarded as ＂mirrors＂ to each other with simply reversed phase. For the positive pattern, the positive height anomaly center around the Scandinavia Peninsula keeps its strength and position during the mature period, and the Rossby wave packets thus propagate persistently toward East Asia, facilitating a longer mature time of the positive pattern. As for the formation of the negative EAP pattern, however, the incoming Rossby wave energy from the upstream contributes to both the enhancement and southeastward movement of the negative anomaly belt from the Yenisei River to the Bering Strait and the positive anomaly center around Mongolia. At the peak time, the two anomlous circulations are evolved into the Northeast Asia and the mid-latitude anomaly centers of the negative pattern, respectively. Chaperonins are known to facilitate the productive folding of numerous misfolded proteins. Despite their established importance, the mechanism of chaperonin-assisted protein folding remains unknown. In the present article, all-atom explicit solvent molecular dynamics （MD） simulations have been performed for the first time on rhodanese folding in a series of cavity-size and cavity-charge chaperonin mutants. A compromise between stability and flexibility of chaperonin structure during the substrate folding has been observed and the key factors affecting this dynamic process are discussed.

This paper considers the variational discretization for the constrained optimal control problem governed by linear parabolic *** state and co-state are approximated by RaviartThomas mixed finite element spaces,and the authors do not discretize the space of admissible control but implicitly utilize the relation between co-state and control for the discretization of the control.A priori error estimates are derived for the state,the co-state,and the *** numerical examples are presented to confirm the theoretical investigations.

Location-aware applications have been used widely with the assistance of the latest positioning features in Smart Phone such as GPS,AGPS,***,all the existing applications gather users' geographical data and transfer them into the pertinent information to give meaning and *** this kind of solutions,the user's privacy and security issues might be raised because the geographical location has to be exposed to the service provider.A novel and practical solution is proposed in this article to provide the relative location of two mobile users based on their WiFi scanned results without any additional *** is no privacy concern in this solution because end users will not collect and send any sensitive information to the *** solution adopts a Client/Server(C/S) architecture,where the mobile user as a client reports the ambient WiFi APs and the server calculates the distances based on the WiFi AP's topological relationships.A series of technologies are explored to improve the accuracy of the estimated distance and the corresponding algorithms are *** also prove the feasibility with the prototype of "Circle Your Friends" System(CYFS) on Android phone which lets the mobile user know the distance between him and his social network friends.

An iterative identification and control design method based on v-gap is given to ensure the stability of closed-loop system and control performance improvement. The whole iterative procedure includes three parts： the optimal excitation signals design, the uncertainty model set identification and the stable controller design. Firstly the worst case v-gap is used as the criterion of the optimal excitation signals design, and the design is performed via the power spectrum optimization. And then, an uncertainty model set is attained by system identification on the basis of the measure signals. The controller is designed to ensure the stability of closed-loop system and the closed-loop performance improvement. Simulation result shows that the proposed method has good convergence and closed-loop control performance.

Godson-T:An Efficient Many-Core Architecture for Parallel Program Executions

Moore＇s law will grant computer architects ever more transistors for the foreseeable future, and the challenge is how to use them to deliver efficient performance and flexible programmability. We propose a many-core architecture, Godson- T, to attack this challenge. On the one hand, Godson-T features a region-based cache coherence protocol, asynchronous data transfer agents and hardware-supported synchronization mechanisms, to provide full potential for the high efficiency of the on-chip resource utilization. On the other hand, Godson-T features a highly efficient runtime system, a Pthreadslike programming model, and versatile parallel libraries, which make this many-core design flexibly programmable. This hardware/software cooperating design methodology bridges the high-end computing with mass programmers. Experimental evaluations are conducted on a cycle-accurate simulator of Godson-T. The results show that the proposed architecture has good scalability, fast synchronization, high computational efficiency, and flexible programmability.
