Recent advancements in passive wireless sensor technology have significantly extended the application scope of sensing,particularly in challenging environments for monitoring industry and healthcare *** systems are equipped with battery-free operation,wireless connectivity,and are designed to be both miniaturized and *** features enable the safe,real-time monitoring of industrial environments and support high-precision physiological measurements in confined internal body spaces and on wearable epidermal *** the exploration into diverse application environments,the development of a systematic and comprehensive research framework for system architecture remains elusive,which hampers further optimization of these *** review,therefore,begins with an examination of application scenarios,progresses to evaluate current system architectures,and discusses the function of each component—specifically,the passive sensor module,the wireless communication model,and the readout module—within the context of key implementations in target sensing ***,we present case studies that demonstrate the feasibility of proposed classified components for sensing scenarios,derived from this systematic *** outlining a research trajectory for the application of passive wireless systems in sensing technologies,this paper aims to establish a foundation for more advanced,user-friendly applications.

Electrocatalytic Activity of Pt/C Electrodes for Ethanol Oxidation in Vapor Phase

High performance platinized-carbon electrodes have been developed for the electrocatalytic oxidation of ethanol to acetaldehyde in electrogenerative processes. A load current density of the electrode can be achieved as high as 600 mA per square centimeter for oxygen reducing in 3 mol/L sulfuric acid with a good stability. With these electrodes and sulfuric acid as an electrolyte in fuel cells, ethanol vapor carried by nitrogen gas can be oxidized selectively to acetaldehyde. Selectivity of acetaldehyde depends on the potential of the cell and the feed rate of ethanol vapor and it can be more than 80% under optimized conditions. The initial product of ethanol oxidized on a platinized-carbon electrode is acetaldehyde and the ethanol oxidation mechanism is discussed.

Critical behaviour of the ferromagnetic Ising model on a triangular lattice

We use a new updated algorithm scheme to investigate the critical behaviour of the two-dimensional ferromagnetic Ising model on a triangular lattice with the nearest neighbour interactions. The transition is examined by generating accurate data for lattices with L=8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 50. The updated spin algorithm we employ has the advantages of both a Metropolis algorithm and a single-update method. Our study indicates that the transition is continuous at Тc=3.6403（2）. A convincing finite-size scaling analysis of the model yields ν=0.9995（21）, β/ν=0.12400（17）, γ/v=1.75223（22）, γ^1/ν=1.7555（22）, α/ν=0.00077（420）（scaling） and α/ν=0.0010（42）（hyperscaling）. The present scheme yields more accurate estimates for all the critical exponents than the Monte Carlo method, and our estimates are shown to be in excellent agreement with their predicted values.

Application of Ordinary Kriging in Mapping Soil Organic Carbon in Zambia

The quantification of the pattern and spatial distribution of soil organic carbon （SOC） is fundamental to understand many ecosystem processes. This study aimed to apply ordinary kriging （OK） to model the spatial distribution of SOC in a selected part of Zambia. A total of 100 soil samples were collected from the study area and analyzed for SOC by determining soil oxidizable carbon using the Walkley-Black method. An automated fitting procedure was followed when modeling the spatial structure of the SOC data with the exponential semivariogram. The results indicated that the short range spatial dependence of SOC was strong with a nugget close to zero. The spatial autocorrelation was high to medium with a nugget to sill ratio of 0.25. The root mean square error of the predictions was 0.64, which represented 58.18% of the mean observed data for SOC. It can be concluded that the generated map could serve as a proxy for SOC in the region where evidence of spatial structure and quantitative estimates of uncertainty are reported. Therefore, the maps produced can be used as guides for various uses including optimization of soil sarapling.

Magnetic properties of DNA-templated Co/Cu naonoparticle chains

According to ultraviolet （UV）-vis absorption spectra recorded in the DNA metallization process, DNA-templated Co/Cu binary nanoparticle chains are fabricated by incubating genome DNA of paralichthys olivaceus muscle in CoCl2 and CuCl2 mixture solution for 20 hours and reducing the complex for 2 hours. Transmission electron microscopy observation indicates that Co and Cu nanoparticles with 20 nm in diameter were randomly dispersed on the DNA template. The superconducting quantum interference device （SQUID） measurements display that the magnetic interaction between cobalt particles is greatly decreased by the copper particle. With increasing copper content, the coercivity of the systems enhance from 9 Oe to 100 Oe （1 Oe=79.5775 A/m）.

Robust Finite-Time Guaranteed Cost Control for Positive Systems with Multiple Time Delays

This paper deals with the finite-time guaranteed cost control problem for positive system with multiple time delays and bounded disturbance. By using Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method,some new sufficient conditions for the design of a state feedback controller which makes the closedloop system finite-time stable and guarantees an adequate cost level of performance are derived. Two numerical examples are also given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Furthermore, we present case studies that demonstrate the feasibility of proposed classified components for sensing scenarios, derived from this systematic approach. By outlining a research trajectory for the application of passive wireless systems in sensing technologies, this paper aims to establish a foundation for more advanced, user-friendly applications.

In this article, we consider a two-component nonlinear shallow water system, which includes the famous 2-component Camassa-Holm and Degasperis-Procesi equations as special cases. The local well-posedess for this equations is established. Some sufficient conditions for blow-up of the solutions in finite time are given. Moreover, by separation method, the self-similar solutions for the nonlinear shallow water equations are obtained, and which local or global behavior can be determined by the corresponding Emden equation.

Multilayer perceptron neural network activated by adaptive Gaussian radial basis function and its application to predict lid-driven cavity flow

To improve the performance of multilayer perceptron(MLP)neural networks activated by conventional activation functions,this paper presents a new MLP activated by univariate Gaussian radial basis functions(RBFs)with adaptive centers and widths,which is composed of more than one hidden *** the hidden layer of the RBF-activated MLP network(MLPRBF),the outputs of the preceding layer are first linearly transformed and then fed into the univariate Gaussian RBF,which exploits the highly nonlinear property of *** RBFs might address the issues of saturated outputs,low sensitivity,and vanishing gradients in MLPs activated by other prevailing nonlinear ***,we apply four MLP networks with the rectified linear unit(ReLU),sigmoid function(sigmoid),hyperbolic tangent function(tanh),and Gaussian RBF as the activation functions to approximate the one-dimensional(1D)sinusoidal function,the analytical solution of viscous Burgers’equation,and the two-dimensional(2D)steady lid-driven cavity *** the same network structure,MLP-RBF generally predicts more accurately and converges faster than the other ***-RBF using less hidden layers and/or neurons per layer can yield comparable or even higher approximation accuracy than other MLPs equipped with more layers or neurons.

Noble metal(M:Pt,Pd,PtPd) supported on ceria system catalysts were *** oxidized and reduced forms of the active component were examined in CO *** catalysts become more active after a reduction pretreatment,which shifts the temperature of CO *** of the data obtained from characterization techniques indicates that the strong interaction of metal ions with the support prevent the reduction of the initial MO_(x)to metallic *** formation of M-ceria interfaces efficiently boosts the oxygen activation during CO oxidation,leading to the formation of chemisorbed O on M and the regeneration of the ceria lattice oxygen,thus greatly improving the catalytic performance.
