Probabilistic Quantitative Temporal Constraints:Representing,Reasoning,and Query Answering

In many applications and domains,temporal constraints between actions, and their probabilities play an important role. We propose the first approach in the literature coping with probabilistic quantitative constraints. To achieve such a challenging goal, we extend the widely used simple temporal problem(STP) framework to consider ***,we propose i) a formal representation of probabilistic quantitative constraints, ii) an algorithm,based on the operations of intersection and composition,for the propagation of such temporal constraints, and iii) facilities to support query answering on a set of such constraints. As a result, we provide users with the first homogeneous method supporting the treatment(representing,reasoning,and querying) of probabilistic quantitative constraints, as required by many applications and domains.

Symmetric Energy-Conserved Splitting FDTD Scheme for the Maxwell’s Equations

In this paper,a new symmetric energy-conserved splitting FDTD scheme(symmetric EC-S-FDTD)for Maxwell’s equations is *** new algorithm inherits the same properties of our previous EC-S-FDTDI and EC-S-FDTDII algorithms:energy-conservation,unconditional stability and computational *** keeps the same computational complexity as the EC-S-FDTDI scheme and is of second-order accuracy in both time and space as the EC-S-FDTDII *** convergence and error estimate of the symmetric EC-S-FDTD scheme are proved rigorously by the energy method and are confirmed by numerical experiments.

On gl（2｜2）（2）k Current Superalgebra and Twisted Conformal Field Theory

Motivated by the recently discovered hidden symmetry of the type IIB Green-Schwarz superstring on certain background, the non-semisimple Kac-Moody twisted superalgebra gl（2｜2）（2）k is investigated by means of the vector coherent state method and boson-fermion realization. The free field realization of the twisted current superalgebra at general level k is constructed. The corresponding Conformai Field Theory （CFT） has zero central charge. According to the classification theory, this CFT is a nonunitary field theory. After projecting out a U（1） factor and an outer automorphism operator, we get the free field representation of psl（2｜2）（2）k, which is the a/gebra of gl（2｜2）（2）k modulo the Z4-outer automorphism, the CFT has central charge -2.
