High content of asphaltenes and waxes leads to the high pour point and the poor flowability of heavy oil,which is adverse to its efficient development and its transportation in *** the interaction mechanism between asphaltene-wax is crucial to solve these problems,but it is still *** this paper,molecular dynamics simulation was used to investigate the interaction between asphaltenewax and its effects on the crystallization behavior of waxes in heavy *** show that molecules in pure wax are arranged in a paralleled *** wax molecules in heavy oil,which are close to the surface of asphaltene aggregates,are bent and arranged *** the mass fraction of asphaltenes in asphaltene-wax system(ωasp) is 0-25 wt%,the attraction among wax molecules decreases and the bend degree of wax molecules increases with the increase of ω*** ωaspincreases from 0 to 25 wt%,and the attraction between asphaltene-wax is stronger than that among *** causes that the wax precipitation point changes from 353 to 333 *** the ωaspincreases to 50 wt%,wax molecules are more dispersed owing to the steric hindrance of asphaltene aggregates,and the interaction among wax molecules transforms from attraction to *** causes that the ordered crystal structure of waxes can't be formed at no.mal ***,the asphaltene,with the higher molecular weight or the more hetero atoms,has more obvious inhibition to the formation of wax ***,resins also have an obvious inhibition on the wax crystal due to the formation of asphalteneresin aggregates with a larger *** results reveal the interaction mechanism between asphaltene-wax,and provide useful guidelines for the development of heavy oil.

Functionally referential signals are a complex form of communication that conveys information about the external *** signals have been found in a range of mammal and bird species and have helped us understand the complexities of animal *** are well kno.n for their extraordinary cognitive abilities,but relatively little attention has been paid to their vocal ***,we investigated the functionally referential signals of a cooperatively breeding corvid species,Azure-winged Magpie(Cyano.ica cyanus).Through field observations,we suggest that Azure-winged Magpie uses referential alarm calls to distinguish two types of threats:’rasp’ calls for terrestrial threats and ’chatter’ calls for aerial threats.A playback experiment revealed that Azure-winged Magpies responded to the two call types with qualitatively different *** sought cover by flying into the bushes in response to the ’chatter’ calls,and flew to or stayed at higher positions in response to ’rasp’ calls,displaying a shorter response time to ’chatter’ *** differences in acoustic structure were found between the two types of *** the extensive cognitive abilities of corvids and the fact that referential signals were once thought to be unique to primates,these findings are important for expanding our understanding of social communication and language evolution.

Effect of speed humps on instantaneous traffic emissions in a microscopic model with limited deceleration capacity

As a common transportation facility, speed humps can control the speed of vehicles on special road sections to reduce traffic risks. At the same time, they also cause instantaneous traffic emissions. Based on the classic instantaneous traffic emission model and the limited deceleration capacity microscopic traffic flow model with slow-to-start rules, this paper has investigated the impact of speed humps on traffic flow and the instantaneous emissions of vehicle pollutants in a single lane situation. The numerical simulation results have shown that speed humps have significant effects on traffic flow and traffic emissions. In a free-flow region, the increase of speed humps leads to the continuous rise of CO_(2), no.(X) and PM emissions. Within some density ranges, one finds that these pollutant emissions can evolve into some higher values under some random seeds. Under other random seeds, they can evolve into some lower values. In a wide moving jam region, the emission values of these pollutants sometimes appear as continuous or intermittent pheno.eno.. Compared to the refined Na Sch model, the present model has lower instantaneous emissions such as CO_(2), no.(X) and PM and higher volatile organic components(VOC) emissions. Compared to the limited deceleration capacity model without slow-to-start rules, the present model also has lower instantaneous emissions such as CO_(2), no.(X) and PM and higher VOC emissions in a wide moving jam region. These results can also be confirmed or explained by the statistical values of vehicle velocity and acceleration.

The existing automated wastewater treatment control systems encounter challenges such as the utilization of specialized testing instruments, equipment repair complications, high operational costs, substantial operational errors, and low detection accuracy. An effective soft measure model offers a viable approach for real-time monitoring and the development of automated control in the wastewater treatment process. Consequently, a no.el hybrid deep learning CNN-BNLSTM-Attention (CBNLSMA) model, which incorporates convolutional neural networks (CNN), bidirectional nested long and short-term memory neural networks (BNLSTM), attention mechanisms (AM), and Tree-structure Parzen Estimators (TPE), has been developed for monitoring effluent water quality during the wastewater treatment process. The CBNLSMA model is divided into four stages: the CNN module for feature extraction and data filtering to expedite operations;the BNLSTM module for temporal data’s temporal information extraction;the AM module for model weight reassignment;and the TPE optimization algorithm for the CBNLSMA model’s hyperparameter search optimization. In comparison with other models (TPE-CNN-BNLSTM, TPE-BNLSTM-AM, TPE-CNN-AM, PSO-CBNLSTMA), the CBNLSMA model reduced the RMSE for effluent COD prediction by 25.4%, decreased the MAPE by 32.9%, and enhanced the R2 by 14.9%. For the effluent SS prediction, the CBNLSMA model reduced the RMSE by 26.4%, the MAPE by 21.0%, and improved the R2 by 35.7% compared to other models. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed CBNLSMA model holds significant potential for real-time effluent quality monitoring, indicating its high potential for automated control in wastewater treatment processes.

The simulation of radio frequency interference(RFI) cancellation by applying a spatial filtering technique for phased array feed(PAF) is presented. In order to better reflect the characteristics of PAF, a new signal model is to add the coupling coefficient among elements of PAF to the conventional array signal model. Then the subspace projection(SP) algorithm is used to cancel RFI from the correlation matrix of the signal, and finally, the 2D power image is drawn. The power variation of signal-of-interest direction and RFI direction before and after using the SP algorithm is analyzed. The new signal model and simulation strategy can be used to test and verify the beamformer.

Photochemical Production of Methyl Halides with Guaiacol as the Precursor

Methyl halides are crucial trace greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, playing a significant role in global climate change and the atmospheric environment. This study investigated the photochemical production of methyl halides in an artificial seawater system using guaiacol as a precursor through laboratory simulation experiments. The influences of various environmental factors, including illumination time, radiation wavebands, illumination intensity, concentrations of guaiacol and halide ions（X-）, Fe3+, salinity, dissolved oxygen（DO）, and pH value on the photochemical production of methyl halides were examined. We demonstrated that increased illumination intensity and duration promote the photochemical production of methyl halides, with a no.able enhancement under UV-B radiation. Guaiacol and halide ions were identified as key precursors, and their high concentrations facilitated the formation of methyl halides. Additionally, different types of halide ions exhibited a competitive relationship in producing methyl halides. The study found that an increase in pH inhibited the photochemical formation of CH3I due to the reaction between OH-and ·CH3. Dissolved oxygen was found to inhibit the photochemical formation of CH3I while promoting the formation of CH3Cl. Conversely, an appropriate concentration of Fe3+enhanced the photochemical production of methyl halides. Field observations indicated a high photochemical production of methyl halides in the natural waters near Qingdao's coastal area, likely due to the high concentration of dissolved organic matter（DOM）, which supports photochemical reactions. Furthermore, the photochemical production of methyl halides in natural seawater was significantly higher than in dark conditions, underscoring the importance of illumination in promoting these photochemical processes in seawater.
