Association between drinking behavior and sleep duration in Chinese adults: findings from the China Health and Nutrition Survey

Background:To examine the association between alcohol drinking and short sleep duration among Chinese ***:Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria,28,167 records of 15,074 adults longitudinal data were obtained from the China Health and Nutrition Survey for the period from 2004 to 2011.A multilevel logistic regression model was employed to explore the association between alcohol drinking and sleep ***:Compared with nondrinking participants,a high drinking frequency was positively correlated with a short sleep duration in both the males(odds ratio(OR)=1.33,95%confidence interval(CI)=1.20–1.48,P<0.001)and females(OR=1.60,95%CI=1.18–2.18,P=0.003)before the covariates were *** adjusting for age,residence area,education level,marital status,smoking,coffee consumption,tea consumption,and activity level,this association remained significant in the males(OR=1.31,95%CI=1.17–1.46,P<0.001)but not in the females(OR=1.16,95%CI=0.85–1.59,P=0.340).Conclusion:The present results suggest that a high drinking frequency was positively correlated with a short sleep duration in male *** measures therefore need to be implemented to improve sleep duration,especially to increase awareness of the dangers of drinking alcohol.

[Objectives]To study the anti-inflammatory effects of water extract and ethanol extract from Excoecaria cochinchinensis Lour.[Methods]The acute and chronic inflammation models of mouse paw edema induced by cotton ball granuloma and carrageenan were established respectively,and the anti-inflammatory effects of water and ethanol extract from *** *** acute and chronic inflammation in mice were *** experimental mice were equally divided into three groups of high,medium and low dose of *** Lour.(60,40 and 20 g/kg),dexamethasone(0.006 g/kg)group and blank group(distilled water).In the cotton ball granuloma test in mice,the mice were given intragastric administration continuously for 7 d after cotton ball *** the experiment of inflammation induced by carrageenan,the mice in each group were given intragastric administration once a day for 7 d,and the inflammatory model was made after the last administration.[Results]The granuloma inhibition rates of mice in the high,medium and low dose groups of water extract and ethanol extract from *** Lour were significantly lower than those in the blank group(P<0.05).The degree of paw edema in each dose group of water and ethanol extract from *** *** significantly lower than that in the blank group(P<0.05).[Conclusions]The water and ethanol extracts from *** *** significant anti-inflammatory effects.

Sustainable development denotes the enhancement ofliving standards in the present without compromising future generations'*** Development Goals(SDGs)quantify the accomplishment of sustainable development and pave the way for a world worth living in for future *** can contribute to the achievement of the SDGs by guiding the actions of practitioners based on the analysis of SDG data,as intended by this *** propose a framework of algorithms based on dimensionality reduction methods with the use of Hilbert Space Filling Curves(HSFCs)in order to semantically cluster new uncategorised SDG data and novel indicators,and efficiently place them in the environment of a distributed knowledge graph ***,a framework of algorithms for insertion of new indicators and projection on the HSFC curve based on their transformer-based similarity assessment,for retrieval of indicators and loadbalancing along with an approach for data classification of entrant-indicators is ***,a thorough case study in a distributed knowledge graph environment experimentally evaluates our *** results are presented and discussed in light of theory along with the actual impact that can have for practitioners analysing SDG data,including intergovernmental organizations,government agencies and social welfare *** approach empowers SDG knowledge graphs for causal analysis,inference,and manifold interpretations of the societal implications of SDG-related actions,as data are accessed in reduced retrieval *** facilitates quicker measurement of influence of users and communities on specific goals and serves for faster distributed knowledge matching,as semantic cohesion of data is preserved.

Cultivated potato is a clonally propagated autotetraploid species with a highly heterogeneous *** assemblies of six cultivars including two chromosome-scale phased genome assemblies revealed extensive allelic diversity,including altered coding and transcript sequences,preferential allele expression,and structural variation that collectively result in a highly complex transcriptome and predicted proteome,which are distributed across the homologous *** species contribute to the extensive allelic diversity in tetraploid cultivars,demonstrating ancestral introgressions predating modern breeding *** a clonally propagated autotetraploid that undergoes limited meiosis,dysfunctional and deleterious alleles are not purged in tetraploid *** a quarter of the loci bore mutations are predicted to have a high negative impact on protein function,complicating breeder’s efforts to reduce genetic *** StCDF1 locus controls maturity,and analysis of six tetraploid genomes revealed that 12 allelic variants of StCDF1 are correlated with maturity in a dosage-dependent *** of the complexity of the tetraploid potato genome with its rampant structural variation and embedded deleterious and dysfunctional alleles will be key not only to implementing precision breeding of tetraploid cultivars but also to the construction of homozygous,diploid potato germplasm containing favorable alleles to capitalize on heterosis in F1 hybrids.
