BACKGROUND Peripheral FDG accumulation in a hepatic hemangioma presenting in a patient with prolonged fever is ***,clinicians should pay close attention to patients with hepatic *** SUMMARY A 54-year-old woman with a 4-wk history of daily fevers was admitted to our hospital.A whole body^(18)-Fluordesoxyglucose(PET-FDG)positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT)was performed to elucidate the source of the ***,whole body^(18)-FDG PET/CT raised the suspicion of a malignant lesion because of peripheral FDG accumulation(SUVmax 3.5 g/mL)higher than that of the normal liver parenchyma(SUVmax 1.6 g/mL)surrounding a hypoactive area,and no other abnormalities were ***,the patient underwent liver mass *** showed a hepatic cavernous hemangioma with fatty infiltration around the *** fever disappeared four days after surgery and the patient did not present any complications during *** Fatty infiltration in the peripheral parts of hepatic cavernous hemangioma may lead to subacute inflammation which further activate the Kupffer *** may cause prolonged fever and peripheral rim FDG accumulation on PET/CT.

The widespread availability of digital multimedia data has led to a new challenge in digital *** source camera identification algorithms usually rely on various traces in the capturing ***,these traces have become increasingly difficult to extract due to wide availability of various image processing *** Neural Networks(CNN)-based algorithms have demonstrated good discriminative capabilities for different brands and even different models of camera ***,their performances is not ideal in case of distinguishing between individual devices of the same model,because cameras of the same model typically use the same optical lens,image sensor,and image processing algorithms,that result in minimal overall *** this paper,we propose a camera forensics algorithm based on multi-scale feature fusion to address these *** proposed algorithm extracts different local features from feature maps of different scales and then fuses them to obtain a comprehensive feature *** representation is then fed into a subsequent camera fingerprint classification *** upon the Swin-T network,we utilize Transformer Blocks and Graph Convolutional Network(GCN)modules to fuse multi-scale features from different stages of the backbone ***,we conduct experiments on established datasets to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Objectives This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Goal Attainment Scaling(GAS)in assessing an intervention for pre-frail senior ***,the study aimed to explain how the GAS goals were established based on the International Classification of Functioning,Disability and Health(ICF)categories,including body function,activity and participation and environmental *** In this study,220 pre-frail older adults were randomly selected to participate in a controlled *** intervention group engaged in multicomponent exercise three times a week,once at a community health service location and twice at *** control group received advice on physical activity but did not have supervised *** in both groups selected individualised GAS goals from 23 goals developed based on ICF by focus group *** study used generalised estimating equations to analyse the differences between the *** The study included 144 participants,72 in the exercise group and 72 in the control *** top three individualised goals for all participants were vestibular functions(53.5%),pain management(43.1%)and lifting and carrying objects(31.9%).Both groups saw a significant increase in GAS scores at week 8 and week 24 of the intervention(p<0.05),but the exercise group showed a more significant improvement(p<0.05).The participants living alone were associated with lower postintervention improvements in the GAS *** contrast,the participants who were using a smartphone were likely to get higher postintervention improvements in the GAS *** GAS can be a valuable tool for setting and evaluating individualised and meaningful goals in body functions,activity and participation and environmental *** multicomponent exercise interventions can help pre-frail older adults achieve their expected goals as measured by the GAS.

Computer-generated aesthetic patterns arewidely used as design materials in various fields. Themost common methods use fractals or dynamicalsystems as basic tools to create various patterns. Toenhance aesthetics and controllability, some researchershave introduced symmetric layouts along with thesetools. One popular strategy employs dynamical systemscompatible with symmetries that construct functionswith the desired symmetries. However, these aretypically confined to simple planar symmetries. Theother generates symmetrical patterns under theconstraints of tilings. Although it is slightly moreﬂexible, it is restricted to small ranges of tilingsand lacks textural variations. Thus, we proposed anew approach for generating aesthetic patterns bysymmetrizing quasi-regular patterns using general kuniformtilings. We adopted a unified strategy toconstruct invariant mappings for k-uniform tilings thatcan eliminate texture seams across the tiling ***, we constructed three types of symmetriesassociated with the patterns: dihedral, rotational, andreﬂection symmetries. The proposed method can beeasily implemented using GPU shaders and is highlyefficient and suitable for complicated tiling with regularpolygons. Experiments demonstrated the advantages of our method over state-of-the-art methods in terms ofﬂexibility in controlling the generation of patterns withvarious parameters as well as the diversity of texturesand styles.

Aging and circadian rhythms have been connected for decades,but their molecular interaction has remained unknown,especially for *** this situation,we summarized the current research actuality and problems in this field using the bibliometric *** in the PubMed and Web of Science databases were ***,there is a rising trend in the publication volume regarding aging and circadian rhythms in the field of *** from USA,Germany,Italy,China and England have greater studies than *** three publication institutions are University of California System,UDICE-French research Universities and University of Texas *** research hotspots include oxidative stress,breast cancer,melatonin,cell cycle,calorie restriction,prostate cancer and NF-κ*** conclusion,results generated by bibliometric analysis indicate that many approaches involve in the complex interactions between aging and circadian rhythm in *** established and emerging research directions guide our exploration of the regulatory mechanisms of aging and circadian rhythms in cancer and provide a reference for developing new research avenues.

Selective loading of spatially separated redox cocatalysts on direct Z-scheme heterojunctions holds great promise for advancing the efficiency of artificial photosynthesis,which however is limited to the photodeposition of noble metal cocatalysts and the fabrication of hollow double-shelled semiconductor ***,the co-exposure of discrete cocatalyst and semiconductor increases the product diversity when both the exposed sites of which participate in CO_(2)***,we present a facile and versatile protocol to overcome these limitations via surface coating of Z-scheme heterojunctions with bifunctional noble-metal-free *** Cu_(2)O/Fe_(2)O_(3)(CF)as a model heterojunction and layered Ni(OH)_(2)as a model cocatalyst,it is found that Ni(OH)_(2)lying on the surfaces of Cu_(2)O and Fe_(2)O_(3)separately co-catalyzes the CO_(2)reduction and H_(2)O *** experimental and theoretical investigation reveals that the Ni(OH)_(2)outer layer:(i)mitigates the charge recombination in CF and balances their transfer and consumption;(ii)reduces the rate-determining barriers for CO_(2)-to-CO and H_(2)O-to-O_(2)conversion,(iii)suppresses the side proton reduction occurring on CF,and(iv)protects the CF from component *** expected,the redox reactions stoichiometrically proceed,and significantly enhanced photocatalytic activity,selectivity,and stability in CO generation are achieved by the stacked Cu_(2)O/Fe_(2)O_(3)@Ni(OH)_(2)in contrast to *** study demonstrates the significance of the synergy between bifunctional cocatalysts and Z-scheme heterojunctions for improving the efficacy of overall redox reactions,opening a fresh avenue for the rational design of artificial photosynthetic systems.

BACKGROUND Laparoscopic rectal cancer radical surgery is a complex procedure affected by various ***,the existing literature lacks standardized parameters for the pelvic region and soft tissues,which hampers the establishment of consistent *** To comprehensively assess 16 pelvic and 7 soft tissue parameters through computerized tomography(CT)-based three-dimensional(3D)reconstruction,providing a strong theoretical basis to address challenges in laparoscopic rectal cancer radical *** We analyzed data from 218 patients who underwent radical laparoscopic surgery for rectal cancer,and utilized CT data for 3D pelvic *** anatomical points were carefully marked and measured using advanced 3D modeling *** analyze the pelvic and soft tissue parameters,we emp-loyed statistical methods including paired sample t-tests,Wilcoxon rank-sum tests,and correlation *** The investigation highlighted significant sex disparities in 14 pelvic bone parameters and 3 soft tissue *** demonstrated larger measurements in pelvic depth and overall curvature,smaller measurements in pelvic width,a larger mesorectal fat area,and a larger anterior-posterior abdominal *** contrast,females exhibited wider pelvises,shallower depth,smaller overall curvature,and an increased amount of subcutaneous fat ***,there were no significant sex differences observed in certain parameters such as sacral curvature height,superior pubococcygeal diameter,rectal area,visceral fat area,waist circumference,and transverse abdominal *** The reconstruction of 3D CT data enabled accurate pelvic measurements,revealing significant sex differences in both pelvic and soft tissue *** study design offer potential in predicting surgical difficulties and creating personalized surgical plans for male rectal cancer patients with a potentially“difficult pelvis”,ultimately improving surgical ***

Bioorthogonal reactions are a class of chemical reactions that can be carried out in living organisms without interfering with other reactions, possessing high yield, high selectivity, and high efficiency. Since the first proposal of the conception by Professor Carolyn Bertozzi in 2003, bioorthogonal chemistry has attracted great attention and has been quickly developed. As an important chemical biology tool, bioorthogonal reactions have been applied broadly in biomedicine, including bio-labeling, nucleic acid functionalization, drug discovery, drug activation, synthesis of antibody–drug conjugates, and proteolysis-targeting chimeras. Given this, we summarized the basic knowledge, development history, research status, and prospects of bioorthogonal reactions and their biomedical applications. The main purpose of this paper is to furnish an overview of the intriguing bioorthogonal reactions in a variety of biomedical applications and to provide guidance for the design of novel reactions to enrich bioorthogonal chemistry toolkits.
