Rising export and market shares and rampant bankruptcies coexist in China's apparel *** the backdrop of the global value chain,the by-country industrial competitiveness evaluation system based on final products is *** the global value chain theory,this article investigates the international competitiveness of China's apparel industry and introduces the case study of Nike's global value chain,reaching the conclusion that existing evaluations have exaggerated the international competitiveness of China's apparel ***'s apparel industry is at the lowest level of the global value chain,and most local enterprises have not entered the mainstream global value chain and are still internationally *** far as China's current economic development level and targets are concerned,it may be too unrealistic to discuss industrial upgrading entirely from the perspective of ***'s apparel producers should stick to both paths:one is the priority to strengthen manufacturing and OEM;the other is to do more learning to go beyond sub-contract manufacturing and prepare for long-term growth of *** middle and high-end apparel producers and creating local brands by virtue of China's status as a big country is the right path for development given the industry's present situation.

Estimation of domestic and overseas value-added of manufacturing sector is an important and difficult subject for the science-based evaluation of a country＇s trade interests under global value chain. Traditional HIY approach overestimates the domestic value- added of export. Although Koopman＇s method made certain improvements, it cannot utilize traditional I/O matrix and direct input coefficient matrix under the condition of incomplete information. By creating GAMS model, this paper addresses the above-mentioned problems and employs an improved model for the estimation of variations in domestic and overseas value-added of Chinese exports between 2002 and 2012. Our results indicate that by neglecting the export of processing trade, HIY approach overestimates the domestic value- added ratio of Chinese exports. As more imported intermediate inputs have been used in the export of processing trade, the estimation result of this paper have corrected deviations in the forecast of overseas value-added ratio and its tendencies based on HIY method Further analysis of specific factors of domestic value-added of export led to the discovery that the domestic value-added of export of processing trade and mixed trade is highly vulnerable to the impact of international capital inflow. It can be seen that the improved method for the estimation of value-added has indeed corrected the deviations in the estimation of China＇s value-added. In conclusion, China should accelerate the development of export of non- processing trade and trade in high-end services, and balance the relationship of export between local firms and foreign-funded firms, with a view to improving trade dependence and increasing the trade status of Chinese manufaeturing firms in global value chain.

Digital trade rules and higher positions of enterprises in the global value chain(GVC)are both important topics in the context of high-quality economic *** paper refers to the data of RTA digital trade rules concluded by China in the TAPED database in 2000-2014 and the matched data in the WIOD database,the China Customs Import and Export Database and the China Industrial Enterprise Database to investigate the effects of digital trade rules on Chinese enterprises as to their ascending GVC *** finds that signing the RTA digital trade rules can steadily and significantly promote the position ascendance;compared with the digitalization rules on trading objects,signing the digitalization rules on trade modes produces greater effects of driving up the positions,which are realized mainly via the three channels of advancing cross-border flow of R&D factors,promoting corporate digital transformation,and improving professional *** trade rules that are horizontally broader and vertically deeper are in greater favor of Chinese enterprises for ascending in the global value chain,which is especially evident among those in digital industry and processing *** the negotiations of digital trade rules,it's imperative to pay close attention to the rules on e-commerce cooperation,awareness of e-commerce importance,intellectual property protection,attempts in big data-related trade in goods,and cross-border data flow,so as to secure the core interests of Chinese enterprises in gaining higher *** paper offers great policy implications as to how to sign digital trade rules by China in the future and how to select partners in greater support for Chinese enterprises to ascend to the middle and high end of the global value chain.

In this paper,the characteristics of digital trade in services of China are measured and revealed from the perspective of digitalization of trade in services.A digital global value chain is constructed and comprehensively analyzed at the three levels of path decomposition,two-way digital connection and bilateral *** study finds that the digital added value of China’s services driven by domestic demand outweighs that driven by foreign demand,and most countries engage in digital trade in services with China through simple participation;the role of China’s services in the digital global value chain is shifting from“digital value input”to“digital value output”,but its relative position is still low;China’s dependence on the import of digital intermediate products from developed countries has been significantly reduced,and the country has become the main source of digital intermediate imports for most countries,acting as a“hub”in the digital global value *** study comprehensively evaluates the strategic positioning and paths of integrating China’s services into the digital global value chain in multiple dimensions under the unifi ed accounting *** provides the reference for further improving the statistics accounting framework of China’s digital trade and promoting the high-quality development of the digital economy.

This paper considers multiple perspectives to explore the concept of high-speed railway(HSR),rationally abstract its value formation mechanism, and quantitatively measure its actual performance. This paper analyzes the governance potential of major countries in the high-speed railway value chain and studies the feasible ways and development strategies to enhance the highspeed railway governance in China. Findings of this paper are as follows. First, the government, as the early manager of high-speed railway governance, has given way to Siemens and other integrated enterprises. Second, the highspeed railway standard output has become the core competitiveness that embodies high-speed railway. Third,the global high-speed railway market presents a hierarchical high-speed railway governance model and changes to a modular approach to governance.

Empirical Research on Relationship between Corporate Brand value and Apparel Market Sales Revenue of Apparel Enterprise

Among the existing researches on brand value,few of them focused on the demands of the companies in the clothing industry to brand value. There were three innovation points as follows: first of all,two key demands of apparel companies to existing brand value were summarized through investigation; then,the concept of rapid brand value evaluation and multi-dimensional factors( MDFs) was presented; finally,the relationship between apparel corporate brand value and the sales revenue in apparel market with the sales revenue was proven by empirical *** the process of empirical study,the sales revenue data of 66 apparel enterprises domestic and abroad were collected,and the regression analysis has been done on the relationship between the corporate brand value and the apparel market sales revenue of apparel enterprise. The empirical research showed that they were positively correlated to each other. This conclusion presented a method of judging brand value development trend quickly by single indicator.

China's 40-year history of reform and opening-up includes rapid economic development as well as pollution and environmental *** a four-stage division,this study explores the evolution trend and structural decomposition of China's green value-added by constructing a non-competitive input-output table for environmental pollution from 1978 to *** results indicate that pollution production coefficients increased continuously,and the green value-added index ***,the structural decomposition showed that investment and export were critical for economic growth during the period,though they were accompanied by serious pollution *** pollution generated by the raw material(represented by coal mining)and processing industries(represented by the textiles)were not controlled *** treatment for these industries should be strengthened in the *** study has implications for government officials,policy makers,and ***,China should make green development a core concept for economic development,increase environmental pollution governance,develop a“green GDP,”incorporate the external costs of environmental pollution into the national economic accounting ***,it must change the investment and export structure as well as the traditional economic development pattern that exacerbates ***,the country should develop industries with low pollution and promote the export of industries producing high value-added products and increase green GDP per ***,it should closely monitor the development of highly polluting *** technology to reduce pollution and strengthening pollution treatment will reduce the number of polluting industries and improve environmental governance efficiency.
