Ceratodus is a form genus of ceratodontid *** now,only 14 specimens have been reported from the Mesozoic of *** measurements and characteristic comparisons based on 15 well-preserved lungfish tooth plates of Ceratodus type,uncovered from the upper member of the Upper Jurassic Shaximiao Formation at Luojiashan,Qianfeng District,Guang'an,Sichuan Province in 2019,allow us to establish a new species,Ceratodus guanganensis ***.,on the basis of its small swollen irregular triangular tooth plate with four low and swollen radial crests on the occlusal surface without *** specimens from the same locality can be referred to *** and *** is the first discovery of Ceratodus in the Guang'an region and represents the fifth Ceratodus fossil site in the Sichuan *** discovery indicates that the climate was hot and arid in the Sichuan Basin during the Late Jurassic,and reveals a tectonic paleogeographic relationship between the Yangtze block in southwestern China and the Kola Basin in northern Thailand.

This article outlines the major scientific objectives of the SHui project that seeks to optimize soil and water use in agricultural systems in the EU and China,by considering major current scientific challenges in this ***(for Soil Hydrology research platform underpinning innovation to manage water scarcity in European and Chinese cropping systems)is large cooperative project that aims to provide significant advances through transdisciplinary research at multiple scales(plot,field,catchment and region).This paper explains our research platform of long-term experiments established at plot scale,approaches taken to integrate crop and hydrological models at field scale;coupled crop models and satellite-based observations at regional scales;decision support systems for specific farming situations;and the integration of these technologies to provide policy recommendations through socio-economic analysis of the impact of soil and water saving *** also outlines the training of stake-holders to develop a basic common curriculum despite the subject being distributed across different disciplines and *** such,this article provides a review of major challenges for improving soil and water use in EU and China as well as information about the potential to access information made available by SHui,and to allow others to engage with the project.

Scalability and information personal privacy are vital for training and deploying large-scale deep learning *** learning trains models on exclusive information by aggregating weights from various devices and taking advantage of the device-agnostic environment of web ***,relying on a main central server for internet browser-based federated systems can prohibit scalability and interfere with the training process as a result of growing client ***,information relating to the training dataset can possibly be extracted from the distributed weights,potentially reducing the privacy of the local data used for *** this research paper,we aim to investigate the challenges of scalability and data privacy to increase the efficiency of distributed training *** a result,we propose a web-federated learning exchange(WebFLex)framework,which intends to improve the decentralization of the federated learning *** is additionally developed to secure distributed and scalable federated learning systems that operate in web browsers across heterogeneous ***,WebFLex utilizes peer-to-peer interactions and secure weight exchanges utilizing browser-to-browser web real-time communication(WebRTC),efficiently preventing the need for a main central *** has actually been measured in various setups using the MNIST *** results show WebFLex’s ability to improve the scalability of federated learning systems,allowing a smooth increase in the number of participating devices without central data *** addition,WebFLex can maintain a durable federated learning procedure even when faced with device disconnections and network ***,it improves data privacy by utilizing artificial noise,which accomplishes an appropriate balance between accuracy and privacy preservation.

We consider the dynamics of the director in a nematic liquid crystal when under the influence of an applied electric *** an energy variational approach we derive a dynamic model for the director including both dissipative and inertial forces.A numerical scheme for the model is proposed by extending a scheme for a related variational wave *** experiments are performed studying the realignment of the director field when applying a voltage difference over the liquid crystal *** particular,we study how the relative strength of dissipative versus inertial forces influence the time scales of the transition between the initial configuration and the electrostatic equilibrium state.

In the paper,a novel self-learning energy management strategy(EMS)is proposed for fuel cell hybrid electric vehicles(FCHEV)to achieve the hydrogen saving and maintain the battery *** the EMS,it is proposed to approximate the EMS policy function with fuzzy inference system(FIS)and learn the policy parameters through policy gradient reinforcement learning(PGRL).Thus,a so-called Fuzzy REINFORCE algorithm is first proposed and studied for EMS problem in the *** REINFORCE is a model-free method that the EMS agent can learn itself through interactions with environment,which makes it independent of model accuracy,prior knowledge,and expert ***,to stabilize the training process,a fuzzy baseline function is adopted to approximate the value function based on FIS without affecting the policy gradient ***-over,the drawbacks of traditional reinforcement learning such as high computation burden,long convergence time,can also be *** effectiveness of the proposed methods were verified by Hardware-in-Loop *** adaptability of the proposed method to the changes of driving conditions and system states is also verified.

In the present work,we report development of a DC glow discharge plasma(GDP)set-up to study controlled evolution of anodic structures having distinctive geometry,size and layers,generated in front of a positively biased electrode,submerged in unmagnetized *** such an anodic structure,we have also investigated the condition under which the turbulence is *** of these structures,generated in front of a positively biased electrode,depends on multiple parameters such as the ratio of anode to cathode size,electrode separation,gas pressure,biasing configuration such as anode bias,cathode bias and grounding *** attempted to classify different anodic structures observed experimentally,as anode glow,fireball,anode spot,double layer and multiple double layers(MDLs)based on its physical *** these structures the present investigation is focused on *** number of layers,observed in MDLs varied from as high as six to as low as zero,by controlling the operating discharge parameters,*** were carried out using Langmuir *** analysis of floating potential fluctuations corresponds to a multiple anodic structure showed emergence of turbulence,at its critical stage,satisfying condition for self-organized criticality(SOC).This was identified with three slopes observed in the power spectrum,resembling the sand-pile ***,the GDP is completely different from that of the magnetically confined plasma,the nature of turbulence observed with SOC,is very similar to that observed in the scrape of layer of fusion ***,the present investigation could provide new approach to study turbulence of similar nature,under an experimental condition that is free from the complexities of complicated field geometries used in confinement devices.
