This paper is the first recorded economic value of living fossil,an evaluation of the basic economic value of Lingula,based on the direct utilization of households for food and ***-one local fishermen who collected Lingula in Trat Province were focused on by using interview *** animal habitats are influenced by the encroachers'age,gender and harvest *** total economic value in 2011 was around two million *** who possess fishing gear and have more money can have greater access to the product The local communities in Nong Khunsong sub-district are successful in collecting the Lingula and in doing local *** market channel analysis is conducted at local,provincial and national levels and short market chains are demonstrated in the form of a wholesale market in the Lingula *** represents significant consumption by the local *** study further recommends sustainable conservation and management efforts at a local scale.

Background Direct seeding is potentially a more cost-effective alternative to conventional tree planting for restoring tropical forest ***,seed loss,due to removal and damage by animals,can substantially reduce seedling ***,this study examined the impact of seed predation on seedling establishment of five tree species,native to upland evergreen forests of northern thailand:Hovenia dulcis,Alangium kurzii,Prunus cerasoides,Choerospondias axillaris and Horsfieldia *** tested the hypothesis that excluding animals would significantly reduce seed removal,and increase both germination and seedling *** objective was to calculate a composite index of the relative suitability of the species studied for direct *** Seeds were placed on the ground in a deforested site and subjected to five predator-exclusion treatments:wire cage,insecticide,cage+insecticide,open cage and no exclusion(control).Results Seed loss was highest for ***(the largest seed tested).Across species,wire cages significantly reduced seed loss by 12.4%compared with controls(P<0.001)suggesting that vertebrates were the major seed *** germination ranged from 0 to 77%among the species *** on relative species-performance scores(combining measures of survival and seedling growth),*** was the most suitable species for direct seeding,followed by *** and ***,whilst *** and *** were *** had small seeds with low seed germination,whereas *** was subjected to high seed *** Exclusion of seed predators and the selection of suitable species may substantially increase the success of direct seeding,as a technique for restoring upland evergreen forest *** more species for their suitability is needed,to provide more diverse options for forest restoration.

Objective:This study explored the approaches for community-based flood disaster management for older adults in Southern *** sought to understand community culture for supporting older adults and promoting community strength in case of flood ***:This was a qualitative content analysis study using data from observation,in-depth interviews,secondary data,and focus group *** hundred and twenty-seven people in total were selected specifically for the study,including Local Administration Organization(LAO),community leaders,public sector officers,civil groups,and older adult groups and family ***:The results of this study were two main themes,focusing on 1)approaches to community-based flood disaster management for older adults as follows:eight approaches in the phase of prevention and preparedness in flood disaster management for older adults,eight approaches in the phase of response in flood disaster management for older adults,and six approaches in the phase of recovery and rehabilitation in flood disaster management for older adults;and 2)factors contributing to success in flood disaster management for older adults has four factors,including the human factor,the work factor,the data factor,and the resource ***:The findings showed significant roles in improving the potential and strength in communitybased flood disaster management for older adults and providing suggestions for community nurses and health practice personnel involving in flood disaster management to mitigate the potential influence on older adults in the community.

As an important sustainable development goal,the creation of low-carbon cities(LCCs)has become crucial to creating livable cities and environmental ***,we aimed to understand the factors that support the transition of traditional cities to LCCs,by analyzing and synthesizing how to promote practical LCC across 15 pilot municipalities in four regions of thailand,covering four strategies:City of Trees,City of Waste Minimization,City of Energy Efficiency,and City of Sustainable *** research,in-depth interviews,and observations were employed for data collection,while the 5W(who,says what,in which channel,to whom,and with what effect)and SMCR(sender,message,channel,and receiver)models were used to create a communication analysis *** revealed that the effective activities of municipalities should increase tree planting and implement more serious regulations for the conservation of existing *** compost and establishing waste recycling banks are recommended for rural municipalities,while optimization of garbage and wastewater management systems and facilities should be highlighted in urban ***,recycling,low-carbon agriculture,second-hand shops/markets,green markets,and homegrown vegetables should be encouraged for sustainable *** with local municipalities,credible leaders and representatives were the key ***,message design should compare the pros and cons of behaviors,connect with local health and tourism,and promote dialogue in easy-to-understand and thought-provoking *** that drive LCC should have an excellent understanding of LCC practice and its benefits,be public-minded,and have a desire to live in a good environment.

Background Alcohol is one of the leading risk factors contributing to avoidable economic loss *** from the economic cost of alcohol consumption studies play an important role in prioritizing healthcare resource use,supporting policy decisions,and justifying budgets for alcohol *** study aimed to estimate the economic burden associated with alcohol consumption in thailand in *** Prevalence-based cost of illness methodology was *** following costs were included in the analysis:healthcare costs;cost of law enforcement;cost of property damage due to road traffic accidents;cost of premature mortality;and cost of absenteeism from out-patient hospital visits and *** capital approach was *** costs were presented in Thai baht,*** Alcohol consumption incurred a total estimated economic cost of 165,450.5 million baht,equivalent to 1.02%of Gross Domestic Product(GDP)and 2500 baht per *** of premature mortality was estimated at 157,918.7 million baht and accounted for the largest proportion of the total cost(95.45%).Healthcare cost was found to be the second highest share representing 4370.1 million baht(2.7%of the total cost).The number of premature death attributable to alcohol consumption in 2021 was estimated at 22,*** Alcohol continues to impose a substantial economic burden in *** of existing wellformulated alcohol control policies is urgently required to mitigate the economic impact of alcohol consumption in the country.

The giant potash deposit on the Khorat Plateau is one of the most promising targets for exploitation of potassium *** far,many researches and geologic survey have been conducted on the giant potash ***,it is necessary to make an overall review on the potash *** potash deposit on the Khorat Plateau was formed during the Middle to Late Cretaceous,during which seawater was enriched in Ca2+and depleted in SO42-compared with those of modern *** addition to seawater,continental water and hydrothermal fluids could have affected the evaporite *** seawater was probably derived from Tethys ocean,and the brine should have evaporated to some extent before entering into the basin systems based on the evidence of absence of carbonates and unproportionate sulphate compared with chloride *** paleo-climate during Middle to Late Cretaceous was characterized as high temperature and extremely arid environment,which is favourable for deposition of potassium-magnesium saline *** major saline minerals are of anhydrite,halite,carnallite,sylvite and,tachyhydrite,with trace amounts of *** resources of the potash deposit on the Khorat Plateau could be approximately as much as 400×109 t of carnallite and 7×109 t of *** evaporite sequences have been deformed and altered by postdepositinal processes,including tectonic movements and chemical *** domes were formed in the postdepositional *** on the analyses of geophysical surveys and drilling projects,high-quality sylvinite ores are commonly found at the flanks of those salt domes due to incongruent dissolution of *** furure potential prospecting areas for the highquality sylvinite ores would be on the edges of the Khorat Plateau.

AIM: The role of hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotypes on the clinical features and prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is currently unknown. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the distribution of HBV genotypes and their clinical relevance in Thai ***: HBV genotypes were determined by PCR-RFLP in stored sera of 93 asymptomatic carriers, 103 patients with chronic hepatitis, 60 patients with cirrhosis and 76patients with HCC. The clinical data were analyzed in relation to the HBV ***: HBV genotypes C and B were predominant in thailand, accounting for 73% and 21%, respectively. The distributions of genotypes B and C were similar in HCC patients compared to the other groups. Genotype C was significantly more common in HCC patients who were under 40 years old than genotype B (18% vs 0%, P= 0.03), but was significantly less common in patients older than 60 years (26% vs 56.5%, P= 0.01). The positive rate of hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) in patients with genotype C was significantly higher than that in patients with genotype B (71.6% vs 44.4%, P = 0.03 in chronic hepatitis; 56.8% vs 11.1%,P = 0.01 in cirrhosis). There were no differences between HCC patients with genotypes B and C regarding tumor staging by CLIP criteria and the overall median survival. Multivariate analyses showed that HBV genotype was not an independent prognostic factor of survival in HCC ***: Patients with genotype C had a higher positive rate of HBeAg and exhibited earlier progression of cirrhosis and HCC than those with genotype B. However,there were no differences in the risk of developing HCC and its prognosis between patients with these genotypes.
