Physicochemical characterization of forest and sugarcane leaf combustion’s particulate matters using electron microscopy,EDS,XRD and TGA

Physical characteristics and quantitative elemental composition of PM and residual ash produced from sugarcane leaves(SCL)combustion were investigated using TEM-EDS compared with forest leaves(FRL).SEM-EDS was used to analyze the microstructure and chemical composition of biomass raw leaves and *** analysis was also performed to investigate the characterization of the crystalline nanostructure,structure of PM,and residual ash compared to the TEM image processing *** oxidation kinetics of biomass raw materials,PM,and residual ash were investigated by *** morphology of fine and ultrafine agglomerate structure of SCL soot and residual ash are not significantly different from the FRL soot and residual *** average diameter sizes of single primary nanoparticles of SCL and FRL soot are approximately 37 nm and 35 nm,while the sizes of residual ash are about 18 nm and 22 nm,*** single primary nanoparticles of soot are mainly composed of curve line crystallites of carbon fringes,while residual ash is composed of straightline lattice *** average fringe lengths of SCL and FRL soot are about 1.25 nm and 1.04 nm from the outer shell and 0.89 nm and 0.74 nm from the inner *** interlayer spacing of curve line carbon fringes of SCL and FRL soot is approximately 0.359 nm and 0.362 nm by the TEM image analysis and it was matched with XRD *** biomass PMs are mainly composed of soot,Si,Ca,and K compounds:SiO_(2),CaCO3,and KCl.

In this article, we introduce a new viscosity iterative method for two nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces. We also prove, without commutativity assumption, that the iterates converge to a common fixed point of the mappings which solves some variational inequality. The results presented extend the corresponding results of Shimizu and Takahashi IT. Shimizu, W. Takahashi, Strong convergence to common fixed point of families of nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 211 （1997）, 71-83], and Yao and Chen [Y. Yao, R. Chert, Convergence to common fixed points of average mappings without commutativity assumption in Hilbert spaces, Nonlinear Analysis 67（2007）, 1758-1763].

MnWO4 (huebnerite) with flower-like clusters of nano-plates was produced from the solutions containing MnCl2·4H2O and Na2WO4·2H2O by the 300 ℃ spray pyrolysis. The phase was detected by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and selected area electron diffraction (SAED), and is in accordance with the results characterized using energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis. The flower-like clusters of nano-plates were characterized using scanning and transmission electron microscopes (SEM and TEM), and their parallel lattice planes using a high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM). Vibration spectra of the huebnerite structured products were characterized using Raman and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers. Their photoluminescence (PL) emissions are in the same spectral region at 405-412 nm.

CdS, CuxS (x=1, 2) and ZnS with different morphologies were produced by the solvothermal reactions of M(CH3COO)2·2H2O (M=Cd, Cu and Zn) and NH2CSNH2 in hexane with and without silica gel as a hard template at 200 ℃ for 24 h. The product phases were detected using X-ray diffraction (XRD). Different morphologies were characterized using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The existence of silica gel in modeling morphologies of the sulfides was characterized using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer. Raman spectra of different products show the vibrations at the same wavenumbers, although they are composed of different morphologies. Photoluminescence (PL) emissions of the corresponding phases with different morphologies are at the same values, but their intensities are increased by template adding.

This paper investigates the influence of crack geometry,crack-face and loading conditions,and the permittivity of a medium inside the crack gap on intensity factors of planar and non-planar cracks in linear piezoelectric media.A weakly singular boundary integral equation method together with the near-front approximation is adopted to accurately determine the intensity *** results indicate that the non-flat crack surface,the electric field,and the permittivity of a medium inside the crack gap play a crucial role on the behavior of intensity *** mode-I stress intensity factors(K1)for two representative non-planar cracks under different crack-face conditions are found significantly different and they possess both upper and lower *** addition,K1 for impermeable and semi-permeable non-planar cracks treated depends strongly on the electric field whereas those of impermeable,permeable,and semi-permeable penny-shaped cracks are identical and independent of the electric *** stress/electric intensity factors predicted by permeable and energetically consistent models are,respectively,independent of and dependent on the electric field for the penny-shaped crack and the two representative non-planar ***,the permittivity of a medium inside the crack gap strongly affects the intensity factors for all crack configurations considered except for K1 of the semi-permeable pennyshaped crack.

An experimental study was carried out to investigate the influence of double twisted-tape inserts （DTs） in micro-fin tubes （MFs） on heat transfer, friction factor and thermal performance factor characteristics of the compound devices in the following configurations：（1） twisted tapes acted in the same direction （for co-swirl） while MF and twisted tapes acted in the same （parallel） direction （MF-CoDTs：P）, （2） twisted tapes acted in the same direction （for co-swirl） while micro-fin tube and twisted tapes acted in opposite directions （MF-CoDTs：O） and （3） twisted tapes acted in opposite directions for counter swirl （MF-CDTs）. The MF alone and the MF equipped with a single twisted tape in parallel/opposite arrangement were also considered for comparison. The experiments were conducted for the flows with the Reynolds numbers between 5 650 and 17 000, under uniform heat flux condition. The experimental results indicate that MF-CDTs induce stronger swirl/turbulence flow, resulting in higher heat transfer rate, friction factor and thermal performance factor than other combined devices. The thermal performance factors associated with the use of MF-CDTs were found to be higher than those associated with the uses of MF-CoDTs：P, MF-CoDTs：O and MF alone up to 9.3%, 6.5% and 56.4%, respectively. The empirical correlations developed using the present experimental data for the Nusselt number, friction factor and thermal performance factor are also reported.

Application of the AERMOD modeling system for environmental impact assessment of NO_2 emissions from a cement complex

We applied the model of American Meteorological Society-Environmental Protection Agency Regulatory Model（AERMOD） as a tool for the analysis of nitrogen dioxide（NO2） emissions from a cement complex as a part of the environmental impact *** dispersion of NO2 from four cement plants within the selected cement complex were investigated both by measurement and AERMOD simulation in dry and wet *** values of NO2 emissions were compared with those obtained during a 7-day continuous measurement campaign at 12 *** was predicted that NO2 concentration peaks were found more within 1 to 5 km,where the measurement and simulation were in good agreement,than at the receptors 5 km further away from the reference *** QuantileQuantile plots of NO2 concentrations in dry season were mostly fitted to the middle line compared to those in wet *** can be attributed to high NO2 wet *** results show that for both the measurement and the simulation using the AERMOD,NO2 concentrations do not exceed the NO2 concentration limit set by the National Ambient Air Quality Standards（NAAQS） of *** indicates that NO2 emissions from the cement complex have no significant impact on nearby *** can be concluded that the AERMOD can provide useful information to identify high pollution impact areas for the EIA guidelines.

Dry rubber content(DRC)is an important factor to be considered in evaluating the quality of cup lump *** DRC analysis requires prolonged laboratory *** develop fast and effective DRC determination methods,this study proposed methods to evaluate the DRC of cup lump rubber using different spectroscopic measurement *** involved a complete fundamental analysis leading to an efficient measurement method based on either point-based measurement using NIR reflectance spectrometer or area-based measurement using hyperspectral imaging.A dataset was prepared that 120 samples were randomly divided into a calibration set of 90 samples and a validation set of 30 *** obtain an average spectrum to represent a cup lump rubber sample,the spectral data were collected by locating and scanning for point-based and area-based measurement,*** spectral data were calibrated using partial least squares regression(PLSR)and the least-squares support vector machine(LS-SVM)methods against the reference *** experiments showed that the area-based measurement approach with both algorithms performed outstandingly in predicting the DRC of cup lump rubber and was clearly better than the point-based measurement *** best predictions of PLSR represented by the coefficient of determination(R2),the root mean square error of prediction(RMSEP)and the residual predictive deviation(RPD)were 0.99,0.72%and 15.17,while the best prediction of LS-SVM were 0.99,0.64%and 16.83,*** summary,the area-based measurement based on the LS-SVM prediction model provided a highly accurate estimate of the DRC of cup lump rubber.
