Photodegradation of xylene isomers:Kinetics,mechanism,secondary pollutant formation potential and health risk evaluation

Photodegradation technology has been widely applied in the purification of industrial aromatic ***,whether this technology efficiently removes the pollutants to prevent secondary pollution and health risk is still ***,the photodegradation processes of three xylenes were compared under designed reaction atmospheres and light *** lamp showed poor photodegradation ability toward xylenes,no matter in N_(2) or N_(2)+O_(2)system,while much higher photodegradation performance of xylenes were obtained under ultraviolet(UV)and vacuum ultraviolet(VUV)irradiation,especially in N_(2)+O_(2)+VUV system,where 97.9%of m-xylene,99.0%of o-xylene or 87.5%of p-xylene with the initial concentration of 860 mg/m^(3) was removed within 240 *** xylenes underwent three processes of photo-isomerization,photodecomposition and photo-oxidation to produce intermediates of aromatics,alkanes and *** them,the photo-isomerization products showed the highest concentration percentage(e.g.,≥50%in o-xylene system),confirming that photo-isomerization reaction was the dominated photodegradation process of ***,these isomerized products not only contributed about 97%and91%to the formation potential of O3(OfP)and secondary organic aerosols(SOAfP),but also displayed obvious non-carcinogenic risk,although one of photodecomposition product—benzene showed the highest occupational exposure ***,the secondary pollution and health risks of photodegradation products of xylenes were non-ignorable,although the OfP,SOAfP and health risks of the generated products reduced at least 4.5 times in comparison with that of the degraded *** findings are helpful for the appropriate application of this technology in the purification of industrial organic waste gas.

We present a tunable terahertz(THz)spectrum analyzer with hyperspectral resolution formed from electrically tunable metamaterial and plasmonic *** few as eight encoders based on four detectors are needed to recover 396 spectral *** incident spectra in the range of 1–5 THz can be reconstructed with a localization precision of 0.3 GHz and a minimum average mean squared error(MSE)of 6.9×10−*** proposed analyzers are faster and more portable than those based on frequency combs and power meters,and more accurate than existing fourier transform techniques,showing promising applications in pathology,biomedical imaging,and many other areas.

Moving target detection is one of the most basic tasks in computer *** conventional wisdom,the problem is solved by iterative optimization under either Matrix Decomposition(MD)or Matrix factorization(Mf)*** utilizes foreground information to facilitate background *** uses noise-based weights to fine-tune the *** both noise and foreground information contribute to the recovery of the *** jointly exploit their advantages,inspired by two framework complementary characteristics,we propose to simultaneously exploit the advantages of these two optimizing approaches in a unified framework called Joint Matrix Decomposition and factorization(JMDf).To improve background extraction,a fuzzy factorization is *** fuzzy membership of the background/foreground association is calculated during the factorization process to distinguish their contributions of both to background *** describe the spatio-temporal continuity of foreground more accurately,we propose to incorporate the first order temporal difference into the group sparsity constraint *** temporal constraint is adjusted *** foreground and the background are jointly estimated through an effective alternate optimization process,and the noise can be modeled with the specific probability *** experimental results of vast real videos illustrate the effectiveness of our *** with the current state-of-the-art technology,our method can usually form the clearer background and extract the more accurate ***-noise experiments show the noise robustness of our method.

Mainlobe jamming(MLJ)brings a big challenge for radar target detection,tracking,and *** suppression of MLJ is a hard task and an open problem in the electronic counter-counter measures(ECCM)*** parameters and target direction estimation is difficult in radar MLJ.A target parameter estimation method via atom-reconstruction in radar MLJ is proposed in this *** proposed method can suppress the MLJ and simultaneously provide high estimation accuracy of target range and ***,the eigen-projection matrix processing(EMP)algorithm is adopted to suppress the MLJ,and the target range is estimated effectively through the beamforming and pulse *** the target angle can be effectively estimated by the atom-reconstruction *** any prior knowledge,the MLJ can be canceled,and the angle estimation accuracy is well ***,the proposed method does not have strict requirement for radar array construction,and it can be applied for linear array and planar ***,the proposed method can effectively estimate the target azimuth and elevation simultaneously when the target azimuth(or elevation)equals to the jamming azimuth(or elevation),because the MLJ is suppressed in spatial plane dimension.

Track-Before-Detect(TBD) is an efficient method to detect dim targets for radars. Conventional TBD usually follows an approximate motion model of the target, which may cause an inaccurate integration of the target energy. A TBD technique on basis of pseudo-spectrum in mixed coordinates adopting an accurate motion model for bistatic radar system is developed in this *** predicted position in bistatic polar plane is derived according to a nonlinear function that exactly describes the constant Cartesian velocity motion. Then around the predicted position, a pseudo-spectrum is formulated and its samples are accumulated to the integration frame for energy integration. The evolution of the state and the procedure of accumulation of the target energy are derived elaborately. The superior performance of the proposed method is demonstrated by some simulations.

This paper studies the target controllability of multilayer complex networked systems,in which the nodes are highdimensional linear time invariant(LTI)dynamical systems,and the network topology is directed and *** influence of inter-layer couplings on the target controllability of multi-layer networks is *** is found that even if there exists a layer which is not target controllable,the entire multi-layer network can still be target controllable due to the inter-layer *** the multi-layer networks with general structure,a necessary and sufficient condition for target controllability is given by establishing the relationship between uncontrollable subspace and output *** the derived condition,it can be found that the system may be target controllable even if it is not state *** this basis,two corollaries are derived,which clarify the relationship between target controllability,state controllability and output *** the multi-layer networks where the inter-layer couplings are directed chains and directed stars,sufficient conditions for target controllability of networked systems are given,*** conditions are easier to verify than the classic criterion.

Extracting photovoltaic(PV)model parameters based on the measured voltage and current information is crucial in the simulation and management of PV *** accurately and reliably extract the unknown parameters of different PV models,this paper proposes an improved multi-verse optimizer that integrates an iterative chaos map and the Nelder–Mead simplex method,*** experiments verified that the proposed INMVO fueled by both mechanisms has more affluent populations and a more reasonable balance between exploration and ***,to verify the feasibility and competitiveness of the proposal,this paper employed INMVO to extract the unknown parameters on single-diode,double-diode,three-diode,and PV module four well-known PV models,and the high-performance techniques are selected for *** addition,the Wilcoxon signed-rank and friedman tests were employed to test the experimental results *** evaluation metrics,such as root means square error,relative error,absolute error,and statistical test,demonstrate that the proposed INMVO works effectively and accurately to extract the unknown parameters on different PV models compared to other *** addition,the capability of INMVO to stably and accurately extract unknown parameters was also verified on three commercial PV modules under different irradiance and *** conclusion,the proposal in this paper can be implemented as an advanced and reliable tool for extracting the unknown parameters of different PV *** that the source code of INMVO is available at https://***/woniuzuioupao/INMVO.

This paper is concerned with event-triggered H∞control of sampled-data systems. Its novelties lie in three aspects:（i） A novel accumulated-state-error-based event-triggered scheme is introduced by comparing the integral of the state error from tk to t with the system state sampled at tk. This condition works well due to the fact that the so-called Zeno behaviour does not occur.（ii） A novel Lyapunov functional is constructed to establish a criterion to ensure some certain H∞performance of the closed-loop system. This Lyapunov functional is dependent on the integral of the state error involved in the event-triggered scheme.（iii） Under the event-triggered sampling scheme, suitable state-feedback controllers can be designed rather than be given a priori. Moreover, a self-triggered implementation of the proposed event-triggered sampling scheme is presented as well. finally, a batch reactor model and an inverted pendulum system are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

An Incentive Mechanism for federated Learning:A Continuous Zero-Determinant Strategy Approach

As a representative emerging machine learning technique, federated learning(fL) has gained considerable popularity for its special feature of “making data available but not visible”. However, potential problems remain, including privacy breaches, imbalances in payment, and inequitable *** shortcomings let devices reluctantly contribute relevant data to, or even refuse to participate in fL. Therefore, in the application of fL, an important but also challenging issue is to motivate as many participants as possible to provide high-quality data to fL. In this paper, we propose an incentive mechanism for fL based on the continuous zero-determinant(CZD) strategies from the perspective of game theory. We first model the interaction between the server and the devices during the fL process as a continuous iterative game. We then apply the CZD strategies for two players and then multiple players to optimize the social welfare of fL, for which we prove that the server can keep social welfare at a high and stable level. Subsequently, we design an incentive mechanism based on the CZD strategies to attract devices to contribute all of their high-accuracy data to ***, we perform simulations to demonstrate that our proposed CZD-based incentive mechanism can indeed generate high and stable social welfare in fL.
