Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） exhibit appreciable potential in the domain of electrochemical energy ***,there are serious challenges for AZIBs,for instance zinc dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reaction （HER）,and corrosion side ***,we propose a surface engineering modification strategy for coating the montmorillonite （MMT） layer onto the surface of the Zn anode to tackle these issues,thereby achieving high cycling stability for rechargeable *** results reveal that the MMT layer on the surface of the Zn anode is able to provide ordered zincophilic channels for zinc ions migration,facilitating the reaction kinetics of zinc *** functional theory（DFT） calculations and water contact angle （CA） tests prove that MMT@Zn anode exhibits superior adsorption capacity for Zn2+and better hydrophobicity than the bare Zn anode,thereby achieving excellent cycling ***,the MMT@Zn||MMT@Zn symmetric cell holds the stable cycling over 5600 h at 0.5 mA cm-2and 0.125 m A h cm-2,even exceeding 1800 h long cycling under harsh conditions of 5 m A cm-2and 1.25 m A h *** MMT@Zn||V2O5full cell reaches over 3000 cycles at 2 A g-1with excellent rate ***,this surface engineering modification strategy for enhancing the electrochemical performance of AZIBs represents a promising application.

Structural shift of gut microbiota during chemopreventive effects of epigallocatechin gallate on colorectal carcinogenesis in mice

AIM To investigate the effect of epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG) on structural changes of gut microbiota in colorectal *** An azoxymethane(AOM)/dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)-induced colitis mouse model was established. Fortytwo female FVB/N mice were randomly divided into the following three groups: group 1(10 mice, negative control) was treated with vehicle, group 2(16 mice, positive control) was treated with AOM plus vehicle, and group 3(16 mice, EG) was treated with AOM plus EGCG. For aberrant crypt foci(ACF) evaluation, the colons were rapidly took out after sacrifice, rinsed with saline, opened longitudinally, laid flat on a polystyrene board, and fixed with 10% buffered formaldehyde solution before being stained with 0.2% methylene blue in saline. For tumor evaluation, the colon was macroscopically inspected and photographed, then the total number of tumors was enumerated and tumor size measured. For histological examination, the fixed tissues were paraffin-embedded and sectioned at 5 mm thickness. Microbial genomic DNA was extracted from fecal and intestinal content samples using a commercial kit. The V4 hypervariable regions of 16 S r RNA were PCR-amplified with the barcoded fusion primers. Using the best hit classification option, the sequences from each sample were aligned to the RDP 16 S r RNA training set to classify the taxonomic abundance in QIIME. Statistical analyses were then *** Treatment of mice with 1% EGCG caused a significant decrease in the mean number of ACF per mouse, when compared with the model mice treated with AOM/DSS(5.38 ± 4.24 vs 13.13 ± 3.02, P < 0.01). Compared with the positive control group, 1% EGCG treatment dependently decreased tumor load per mouse by 85%(33.96 ± 6.10 vs 2.96 ± 2.86, respectively, P < 0.01). All revealed that EGCG could inhibit colon carcinogenesis by decreasing the number of precancerous lesions as well as solid tumors, with reduced tumor load and delayed histological progression

动脉粥样硬化仍然是全球发病率和死亡率的主要原因,斑块内新生血管形成显著促进了动脉粥样硬化的进展和不稳定性.血管内皮生长因子A (VEGFA)通过诱导内皮细胞增殖和迁移,刺激斑块中异常微血管的生长.色素上皮衍生因子(PEDF)能够高效抑制VEGFA依赖的新生血管形成.本研究介绍了一种由泊洛沙姆407(F127)和海藻酸钠(SA)制备的温敏水凝胶(PFSgel),将PEDF局部递送至动脉粥样硬化斑块周围. PFSgel在体温(37°C)下表现出优异的液固转变,随后在SA与生理环境中的Ca2+凝胶化后形成稳定的三维网络结构,实现控制释放的效果.流变学分析证实其相变温度为28.7°C,并具有显著的自愈特性.体外实验显示, PFSgel可通过调节CD31和MMP-2/MMP-9信号通路,抑制VEGFA诱导的内皮细胞增殖和迁移.体内降解测试验证了PFSgel的控制释放性能.在Apoe缺陷的动脉粥样硬化小鼠中,超声引导的PFSgel注射到腹主动脉周围,可逐步在原位释放包封的PEDF,有效减少了斑块负担、新生血管形成和腔狭窄.总之,这一原位注射的PFSgel凝胶通过CD31和MMP-2/MMP-9通路,有效抑制病理性新生血管形成,通过干预VEGFA依赖的新生血管形成来稳定动脉粥样硬化中的高风险斑块.

Evaluation of elastography combined with serological indexes for hepatic fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B

AIM To investigate the value of ultrasound elastography combined with serological indexes in diagnosing liver fibrosis and assessing its *** A total of 338 chronic hepatitis B(CHB) patients were divided into a disease group(patients with hepatic fibrosis) and control group(subjects without hepatic fibrosis). The disease group was further divided into S1-S4 according to the degree of fibrosis. Independent risk factors for hepatic fibrosis were analyzed using multivariate logistic regression. The diagnostic values of hepatic fibrosis from different indicators were compared using receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves. The combination of elastography and serological indexes was explored to assess the severity of hepatic *** The multivariate logistic regression analysis results revealed that shear wave velocity(SWV), hyaluronic acid(HA), type Ⅳ collagen(CⅣ) and aspartate aminotransferase-to-platelet ratio index(APRI) significantly affected the occurrence of hepatic fibrosis. The ROC curve revealed that the accuracy of the diagnosis of hepatic fibrosis for SWV and HA were 87.3% and 84.8%, respectively. The accuracy of SWV combined with HA was 88.9%. The multiple linear regression analysis revealed that SWV, aspartate aminotransferase(AST)/alanine aminotransferase(ALT), HA, CⅣ, APRI and fibrosis index based on the 4 factor(FIB-4) were screened as statistically significant independent factors. The established regression equation was: Fibrosis level =-4.046 + 1.024 × SWV + 1.170 × AST/ALT + 0.011 × HA + 0.020 × CⅣ + 0.719 × APRI + 0.379 × FIB-4. CONCLUSION SWV combined with serological indexes can improve the accuracy of diagnosis for CHB hepatic fibrosis. Serum indexes can help diagnose the degree of hepatic fibrosis.

Glucagon-like peptide-2 protects impaired intestinal mucosal barriers in obstructive jaundice rats

AIM: To observe the protective effect of glucagon-like peptide-2(GLP-2) on the intestinal barrier of rats with obstructive jaundice and determine the possible mechanisms of action involved in the protective ***: Thirty-six Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a sham operation group, an obstructive jaundice group, and a GLP-2 group; each group consisted of 12 rats. The GLP-2 group was treated with GLP-2 after the day of surgery, whereas the other two groups were treated with the same concentration of normal saline. Alanine aminotransferase(ALT), total bilirubin, and endotoxin levels were recorded at 1, 3, 7, 10 and 14 d. Furthermore, on the 14 th day, body weight, the wet weight of the small intestine, pathological changes of the small intestine and the immunoglobulin A(Ig A) expressed by plasma cells located in the small intestinal lamina propria were recorded for each ***: In the rat model, jaundice was obvious, and the rats' activity decreased 4-6 d post bile duct ligation. Compared with the sham operation group, the obstructive jaundice group displayed increased yellow staining of abdominal visceral serosa, decreased small intestine wet weight, thinning of the intestinal muscle layer and villi, villous atrophy, uneven height, fusion, partial villous epithelial cell shedding, substantial inflammatory cell infiltration and significantly reduced Ig A expression. However, no significant gross changes were noted between the GLP-2 and sham groups. With time, the levels of ALT, endotoxin and bilirubin in the GLP-2 group were significantly increased compared with the sham group(P < 0.01). The increasing levels of the aforementioned markers were more significant in the obstructive jaundice group than in the GLP-2 group(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: GLP-2 reduces intestinal mucosal injuries in obstructive jaundice rats, which might be attributed to increased intestinal Ig A and reduced bilirubin and endotoxin.

Proinflammatory effects and molecular mechanisms of interleukin-17 in intestinal epithelial cell line HT-29

AIM:To evaluate the proinflammatory effects and molecular mechanisms of interleukin(IL)-17 in intestinal epithelial cell line ***:HT-29 cells were cultured with IL-17,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α,or the combination of both IL-17 and TNF-α.Real-time PCR and Western blot were used to measure the gene expression levels of neutrophil chemokines CXCL1,CXCL2,CXCL5,CXCL6,IL-8and TH-17 cell chemokine CCL20,the phosphorylation levels of p38 and TNF-α,and the expression level of IL-8,after using the p38 inhibitor in HT-29 *** stable Act1 knockdown HT-29 cell line was established to further test the phosphorylation changes of p38,after using IL-17 and TNF-α.RESULTS:After HT-29 cells were cultured with IL-17and TNF-α,the expression levels of neutrophil chemokines(CXCL1,CXCL2,CXCL5,CXCL6,IL-8)and Th17chemokine(CCL20)significantly improved(24.96±2.53,28.47±2.87,38.08±2.72,33.47±2.41,31.7±2.38,44.37±2.73,respectively),and the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.01).Western blot results showed that IL-17 obviously enhanced the phosphorylation level of p38,which was induced by TNF-α.Compared with the control group,the expression level of IL-8 significantly declined(9.47±1.36 vs 3.06±0.67,P<0.01)when TH-29 cells were cultured with IL-17and TNF-α.p38 inhibition assay showed that the p38pathway played an essential role in the inflammatory response induced by IL-17.p38 phosphorylation levels could not be changed after using IL-17 and TNF-αin the stable Act1 knockdown HT-29 cell ***:IL-17 significantly promoted the gene expression levels of TNF-α-induced neutrophil chemokines and Th17 cell *** is obvious that IL-17and TNF-αhave synergistic effects on p38.

Modal parameter identification of flexible spacecraft using the covariance-driven stochastic subspace identification(SSI-COV) method

In this paper, the on-orbit identification of modal parameters for a spacecraft is investigated. Firstly, the coupled dynamic equation of the system is established with the Lagrange method and the stochastic state-space model of the system is obtained. Then, the covariance-driven stochastic subspace identification（SSI-COV） algorithm is adopted to identify the modal parameters of the system. In this algorithm, it just needs the covariance of output data of the system under ambient excitation to construct a Toeplitz matrix, thus the system matrices are obtained by the singular value decomposition on the Toeplitz matrix and the modal parameters of the system can be found from the system matrices. Finally,numerical simulations are carried out to demonstrate the validity of the SSI-COV algorithm. Simulation results indicate that the SSI-COV algorithm is effective in identifying the modal parameters of the spacecraft only using the output data of the system under ambient excitation.
