Evaluation of Self-Healing Efficiency of Microcapsule-Based Self-Healing Cementitious Composites Based on Acoustic Emission

Microcapsule self-healing technology is one of the effective methods to solve the durability problem of cementbased *** evaluation method of the self-healing efficiency of microcapsule self-healing cement-based composites is one of the difficulties that limits the self-healing *** paper attempts to characterize the self-healing efficiency of microcapsule self-healing cement-based composites by acoustic emission(AE)parameters,which provides a reference for the evaluation of microcapsule self-healing ***,a kind of self-healing microcapsules were prepared,and the microcapsules were added into the cement-based composites to prepare the compression ***,the specimen with certain pre damage was obtained by compression ***,the damaged samples were divided into two *** group was directly used for compression tests to obtain the damage failure *** other group was put into water for healing for 30 days,and then compression tests were carried out to study the influence of self-healing on the compression failure *** the experiments,the AE signals were collected and the AE characteristics were extracted for the evaluation of self-healing *** results show that the compression pre damage test can trigger the microcapsule,and the compression strength of the self-healing sample is *** failure mechanism of microcapsule selfhealing cement-based composites can be revealed by the AE parameters during compression,and the self-healing efficiency can be quantitatively characterized by AE *** research results of this paper provide experimental reference and technical support for the mechanical property test and healing efficiency evaluation of microcapsule self-healing cement-based composites.

There is accumulating evidence of an increased incidence of tendon disorders in people with diabetes *** tendinopathy is an important cause of chronic pain,restricted activity,and even tendon rupture in *** and tendon stem/progenitor cells(TSPCs)are the dominant cellular components associated with tendon homeostasis,maintenance,remodeling,and *** previous studies have shown alterations in tenocytes and TSPCs in high glucose or diabetic conditions that might cause structural and functional variations in diabetic tendons and even accelerate the development and progression of diabetic *** this review,the biomechanical properties and histopathological changes in diabetic tendons are ***,the cellular and molecular alterations in both tenocytes and TSPCs are summarized,and the underlying mechanisms involved are also analyzed.A better understanding of the underlying cellular and molecular pathogenesis of diabetic tendinopathy would provide new insight for the exploration and development of effective therapeutics.

Objective:To identify the anti-depressive effect of ferulic acid(FA)in mice exposed to lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and explore its molecular ***:The mice were divided into 5 groups as follows:Control,LPS,LPS+SP,LPS+FA,and LPS+FA+*** LPS+FA and LPS+FA+anisomycin groups were administered with FA(100 mg/kg,i.p.)once daily continuously for 7 days,and the other groups received an equivalent volume of *** the 7 th day,LPS(0.1 mg/m L,i.p.)was injected in all mice except the control group 30 min after FA or saline *** LPS+SP and LPS+FA+anisomycin groups were intravenously administered with SP600125[c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)inhibitor](100μL/site,i.v.)and anisomycin(JNK activator)(100μL/site,i.v.)15 min before LPS,*** depressive behaviors were assessed by open field test,sucrose preference test,and forced swimming test at 24 h post-LPS *** necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)levels in plasma were measured by *** levels of phospho-JNK,TNF-α,IL-1β,Bcl-2,Bax,cytochrome c and caspase-3 were evaluated by Western ***:FA alleviated depression symptoms caused by LPS in mice,including increasing sucrose water consumption in sucrose preference test and reducing the immobility time in forced swimming *** could inhibit upregulated levels of phospho-JNK,TNF-α,and IL-1β.FA also markedly decreased Bax,caspase-3,and cytochrome c,and increased Bcl-2 ***,SP600125 showed neuroprotective effect similar to FA which was attenuated by ***:FA attenuates inflammation and apoptosis by inhibiting LPS-induced activation of JNK to alleviate depressionlike behaviors.

Advances of PtRu-Based Electrocatalysts for Methanol Oxidation

Platinum-Ruthenium(PtRu)-based materials are considered the “holy grail” of electrocatalysts for methanol oxidation reaction(MOR) in the fuel cells technique. However,to the best of our knowledge, the exhaustive review report on the advance of PtRu materials for methanol oxidation is rarely summarized for the recent novel achievements. Herein,we summarize and discuss the latest progress of PtRu-based catalysts in MOR. The reaction mechanism of MOR is firstly introduced, and the promotion mechanism is revealed by the relevant activity descriptor, the in-situ spectroscopic analysis and the theoretical calculation. Subsequently, some advanced regulation strategies of PtRu-based catalysts are concluded, including support engineering, morphology design and surface interface regulation. Finally, the challenges and opportunities to improve the MOR performance of PtRubased electrocatalysts are prospected to further promote the widespread application of PtRu-based catalysts in electrocatalytic systems. It is concluded that many efforts are still required to decipher the atomic scale structure-activity relationship and the structural changes of atoms and electrons in the reaction process by advanced strategies and characterization methods. Hopefully, this review can be helpful for novel PtRu-based catalyst development and understanding their correlation to the structure and performance of energy-relevant electrocatalysis.

The investigation of OH radicals produced in a DC glow discharge by laser-induced fluorescence spectrometry

In this paper the OH radicals produced by a needle-plate negative DC discharge in water vapor,N_(2)+H_(2)O mixture gas and He+H_(2)O mixture gas are investigated by a laser-induced fluorescence(LIF)*** a ballast resistor in the circuit,the discharge current is limited and the discharges remain in *** OH rotation temperature is obtained from fluorescence rotational branch fitting,and is about 350 K in pure water *** effects of the discharge current and gas pressure on the production and quenching processes of OH radicals are *** results show that in water vapor and He+H_(2)O mixture gas the fluorescence intensity of OH stays nearly constant with increasing discharge current,and in N_(2)+H_(2)O mixture gas the fluorescence intensity of OH increases with increasing discharge *** water vapor and N_(2)+H_(2)O mixture gas the fluorescence intensity of OH decreases with increasing gas pressure in the studied pressure range,and in He+H_(2)O mixture gas the fluorescence intensity of OH shows a maximum value within the studied gas pressure *** physicochemical reactions between electrons,radicals,ground and metastable molecules are *** results in this work contribute to the optimization of plasma reactivity and the establishment of a molecule reaction dynamics model.

High-efficient electron collection capability of graded Al compositional GaN nanowire arrays cathode

Based on the purpose of solving the"secondary absorption"of adjacent nanowires and the lateral emission in the Ga N nanowire arrays(NWAs)cathode,an exponential-doping and graded Al compositional Ga N NWAs photocathode is proposed,which could generate internal electric field to increase the quantum efficiency(QE)of top surface,and the introduction of an external electric field promote the side-emission electrons to shift toward the collecting *** QE and collection efficiency(CE)of exponential-doping and graded compositional Ga N NWAs under different array structure parameters,incident angles and external electric field intensities are *** results show that although the collection ratio of emitted electrons in the exponential-doping Ga N NWAs is higher,the graded Al compositional photocathode with a stronger built-in electric field can obtain better CE under the application of an external electric field,and the peak value can reach 33.2%in a specific *** electric field has a more significant effect on the CE of uniform-doping Ga N *** solutions provided in this study can make the Ga N NWAs photocathode more suitable for the strict requirements of vacuum electron sources.

Preparation of nano-CuO-loaded halloysite nanotubes with high catalytic activity for selective oxidation of cyclohexene

A facile preparation method of nano-CuO catalysts, assembled in the hollow nanotube of halloysite nanotubes（HNTs）, was developed. The characterizations of XRD, TEM, SEM, BET, XRF and FT-IR were used to analyze the structure and properties of the nano-CuO/HNT loaded catalyst. The XRD patterns indicated that the CuO nanoparticles on HNTs were monoclinic phase. The TEM-EDX and SEM images confirmed that most of nano-CuO catalysts with the crystal size of ca. 20 nm were assembled into the hollow nanotube of HNTs. The catalytic performance of the nano-CuO/HNT catalysts was evaluated by using selective oxidation of cyclohexene. The reaction temperature and recycling times were investigated. The results reveal that the nano-CuO/HNT catalysts exhibit an excellent catalytic oxidation performance for selective oxidation of cyclohexene to 2-cyclohexene-1-one.

Harmonic Circulating Current Injection Based Power Loss Optimization Control of Bottom Switch/Diodes for Modular Multilevel Converters

Power loss management is one of the most significant challenges for reliability improvement of modular multilevel converters(MMCs).In the MMC,the bottom switch/diode in each submodule(SM)normally takes the maximum power *** this paper,a power loss optimization control(PLOC)for MMCs is proposed,where the maximum power losses in the bottom switch/diode of each SM can be effectively reduced through injecting optimum second-order harmonic current into the circulating current of MMCs,and accordingly the reliability of MMCs can be improved by the proposed *** results with PSCAD software and experimental results with a 1 kW MMC platform are provided to confirm the validity of the proposed PLOC for MMCs.

Numerical analysis of cavitation shedding flow around a three-dimensional hydrofoil using an improved filter-based model

The cavitation shedding flow around a 3-D Clark-Y hydrofoil is simulated by using an improved filter-based model （FBM） and a mass transfer cavitation model with the consideration of the maximum density ratio effect between the liquid and the vapor. The unsteady cloud cavity shedding features around the Clark-Y hydrofoil are accurately captured based on an improved FBM model and a suitable maximum density ratio. Numerical results show that the predicted cavitation patterns and evolutions compare well with the experimental visualizations, and the prediction errors of the time-averaged lift coefficient, drag coefficient and Strouhal number St for the cavitation number o- = 0.8, the angle of attack a= 8°at a Reynolds number Re = 7 x 10^5 are only 3.29%, 2.36% and 9.58%, respectively. It is observed that the cavitation shedding flow patterns are closely associated with the vortex structures identified by the Q- criterion method. The predicted cloud cavitation shedding flow shows clearly three typical stages：（1） Initiation of the attached sheet cavity, the growth toward the trailing edge. （2） The formation and development of the re-entrant jet flow. （3） Large scale cloud cavity sheds downstream. Numerical results also indicate that the non-uniform adverse pressure gradient is the main driving force of the re-entrant jet, which results in the U-shaped cavity and the 3-D bubbly structure during the cloud cavity shedding.
