Heat Transfer and Friction Characteristics of Printed Circuit Heat Exchangers with different Channel Structures for S-CO_(2) Power System

Printed circuit heat exchanger(PCHE)has been widely used in supercritical carbon dioxide(S-CO_(2))power systems because of its high heat transfer efficiency and good ***,due to the large variety of PCHE configurations,channel selection in practical applications lacks a ***,this paper discussed the heat transfer and friction characteristics and the synergy of three fields in the channel under the guidance of the field synergy principle for four typical PCHE ***,the comprehensive performance of four channels was ***,the heat transfer and friction factor correlations for S-CO_(2)in four channels were *** findings demonstrate that the synergy of velocity and pressure fields of the straight channel PCHE is better(β≈180°),so its resistance loss is relatively *** zigzag and sinusoidal wavy channels and the airfoil fins can reduce the angle a between the temperature gradient and velocity,thus enhancing the heat *** sinusoidal wavy channel can reduce flow resistance compared to the zigzag channel due to the rounded *** streamlined airfoil structure can guide the flow and reduce backflow,thus reducing resistance *** the range of re studied in this paper,the maximum error of the proposed heat transfer and friction factor correlations of PCHE is 7.0%,which shows good fitting *** research in this paper can provide a reference for the selection and design of PCHE with different channel configurations.

AtrKd5 inhibits the parthenogenic potential mediated by AtBBM

Parthenogenesis,the development of unfertilized egg cells into embryos,is a key component of ***(BABY BOOM),a crucial regulator of embryogenesis in Arabidopsis,possesses the capacity to shift nutritional growth toward reproductive ***,the mechanisms underlying AtBBM-induced parthenogenesis remain largely unexplored in dicot *** findings revealed that in order to uphold the order of sexual reproduction,the embryo-specific promoter activity of AtBBM as well as repressors that inhibit its expression in egg cells combine to limiting its ability to induce ***,AtrKd5,a rWPrK domain-containing(rKd)transcription factor,binds to the 3'end of AtBBM and is identified as one of the inhibitory factors for AtBBM expression in the egg *** the atrkd5 mutant,we successfully achieved enhanced ectopic expression of AtBBM in egg cells,resulting in the generation of haploid offspring via parthenogenesis at a rate of 0.28%.Furthermore,by introducing chimeric Arabidopsis and rice BBM genes into the egg cell,we achieved a significant 4.6-fold enhancement in haploid induction through the atdmp8/9 *** findings lay a strong foundation for further exploration of the BBM-mediated parthenogenesis mechanism and the improvement of haploid breeding efficiency mediated by the dmp8/9 mutant.

pH-sensitive KHA/CMC-Fe^(3+)@CS hydrogel loading and the drug release properties of riboflavin

To improve drug utilization,reduce the drug administration frequency,increase the release time,and reduce the drug side effects in the human body,we prepared(KHA/CMC-Fe^(3+))@CS hydrogel spheres using green and natural potassium humate(KHA),carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC),and chitosan(CS)as raw materials and Fe3+as a crosslinking agent,and loaded them with riboflavin for drug sustainedrelease study using the drop ball *** tests with FTIr,SEM,TG,and X-ray diffractometer showed that the coordination among KHA,CMC,and Fe^(3+)formed a three-dimensional network structure,where cs was encapsulated on the surface of the hydrogel spheres via noncovalent bonding,resulting in good thermal *** stability,drug loading,swelling,and in vitro release of the(KHA/CMC-Fe^(3+))@CS hydrogel spheres were *** results showed that the hydrogel spheres were significantly pH-sensitive,with 11.16 g/g higher swelling in an alkaline environment(pH=7.4)than that in an acidic environment(pH=1.2).The swelling and drug release process of the hydrogel spheres were analyzed using mathematical models,concluding that the hydrogel swelling follows Schott second-order swelling kinetics,and the drug release mechanism was Fickian delivery mode.

Multi-point impact behavior and the relationship between CAI strength and dBIP of PMI foam sandwich structures

Sandwich structures are vulnerable to multi-point impacts,and such impacts can result in a reduction in residual strength even catastrophic ***,the multi-point impact behaviors of PMI foam sandwich structure are investigated and studied using experimental and numerical coupled *** impact energy levels and five distances Between Impact Positions(dBIP)are considered in details,and representative impact characteristics are compared to reveal the association between Compression After Impact(CAI)strength and *** indicate that the interference between the multi-point impact events has a dominant effect on CAI strength when dBIP is small,and the variation in bending stiffness induced by the boundary effect is the dominant factor affecting CAI strength when dBIP ranges from 20 mm to 60 *** addition,matrix damage represents the primary damage mode in multi-point impact,and the calculated ratio of energy absorbed by the top face sheet and honeycomb core,in relation to the total absorbed energy,serves as a clear indicator of the damage severity experienced by both *** work is enlightening for the structural design of impact-resistant composites.

Potential risks of organic contaminated soil after persulfate remediation:Harmful gaseous sulfur release

Persulfate is considered a convenient and efficient remediation agent for organic contaminated ***,the potential risk of sulfur into the soil remediation by persulfate remains *** this study,glass bottles with different persulfate dosages and groundwater tables were set up to simulate persulfate remediation of organic pollutants(aniline).The results found sulfate to be the main end-product(83.0%–99.5%)of persulfate remediation after10 ***,H_(2)S accounted for 93.4%–99.4%of sulfur reduction end-products,suggesting that H_(2)S was the final fate of sulfur.H_(2)S was released rapidly after one to three days at a maximum concentration of 33.0 ppm,which is sufficient to make a person *** to the fitted curve results,H_(2)S concentration decreased to a safe concentration(0.15 ppm)after 20–85 ***,the maximum concentration of methanethiol reached 0.6 *** results indicated that secondary pollution from persulfate remediation could release harmful gases over a long ***,persulfate should be used more carefully as a remediation agent for soil contamination.

The fast and accurate reduced-order modeling of fluidized beds is a challenging task in the field of fluid dynamics,owing to their high dimensionality and nonlinear dynamic *** this study,a nonintrusive reduced order modeling method,the reduced order model based on principal component analysis and bidirectional long short-term memory networks(PBLSTM rOM),was developed to capture complex spatio-temporal dynamics of fluidized *** combining principal component analysis and Bidirectional long-short-term memory networks,the PBLSTM rOM effectively extracted dynamic evolution information without any prior knowledge of governing equations,enabling reduced-order modeling of unsteady flow *** PBLSTM rOM was validated using the solid volume fraction and gas velocity flow fields of a fluidized bed with immersed tubes,showing superior performance over both the PLSTM and PANN rOMs in accurately capturing temporal changes in the fluidization fields,especially in the region near immersed tubes where severe fluctuations ***,the PBLSTM rOM improved the simulation speed by five orders of magnitude compared to traditional computational fluid dynamics *** findings suggest that the PBLSTM rOM presents a promising approach for analyzing the complex fluid flows in engineering practice.

Small-diameter acellular porcine corneal stroma for peripheral corneal ulceration treatment

AIM:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of small-diameter acellular porcine corneal stroma(SAPS)for the treatment of peripheral corneal ulceration(PCU).METHOdS:This retrospective clinical study included 18 patients(18 eyes)with PCU between April 2018 and december *** patients had PCU and underwent lamellar keratoplasty with *** indicators included preoperative and postoperative best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA)and transparency of *** infection control rate in the surgical eye-lesion area was also ***:Eighteen patients underwent lamellar keratoplasty with SAPS to treat *** of the patients experienced rejection after 6mo(18/18)and 12mo(16/16)of *** BCVA(0.47±0.30)at the 6mo followup after operation was significantly improved compared with the baseline(0.99±0.80),and the difference was statistically significant(Z=-3.415,Pr operation was not statistically significant compared to the 6mo(Z=0,P=1).With time,the SAPS graft gradually became *** the 6mo(18/18)and 12mo(16/16)follow-up,none of the patients had recurrent corneal ***:SAPS is clinically effective in the treatment of PCU,improving the patient’s BCVA and reducing the incidence of rejection after keratoplasty.

Transfer film effects induced by 3d-printed polyether-ether-ketone with excellent tribological properties for joint prosthesis

Based on the building principle of additive manufacturing,printing orientation mainly determines the tribological properties of joint *** this study,we created a polyether-ether-ketone(PEEK)joint prosthesis using fused filament fabrication and investigated the effects of printing orientation on its tribological properties using a pin-on-plate tribometer in 25% newborn calf *** ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene transfer film is formed on the surface of PEEK due to the mechanical capture of wear debris by the 3d-printed groove morphology,which is significantly impacted by the printing orientation of *** the printing orientation was parallel to the sliding direction of friction,the number and size of the transfer film increased due to higher steady *** transfer film protected the matrix and reduced the friction coefficient and wear rate of friction pairs by 39.13%and 74.33%,***,our findings provide a novel perspective regarding the role of printing orientation in designing knee prostheses,facilitating its practical applications.

A universal multifunctional dual cation doping strategy towards stabilized ultra-high nickel cobalt-free lithium layered oxide cathode

Ultra-high nickel cobalt-free lithium layered oxides are promising cathode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)because of their relatively high capacity and low ***,the high nickel content would induce bulk structure degradation and interfacial environment deterioration,and the absence of Co element reduces the lithium diffusion kinetics,severely limiting the performance liberation of this kind of ***,a multifunctional Ti/Zr dual cation co-doping strategy has been employed to improve the lithium storage performance of LiNi_(0.9)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NM91)*** the one hand,the Ti/Zr co-doping weakens the Li^(+)/Ni^(2+)mixing through magnetic interactions due to the inexistence of unpaired electrons for Ti^(4+)and Zr^(4+),increasing the lithium diffusion rate and suppressing the harmful coexistence of H1 and H2 *** the other hand,they enhance the lattice oxygen stability because of the strong Ti-O and Zr-O bonds,inhibiting the undesired H3 phase transition and lattice oxygen loss,improving the bulk structure and cathode-electrolyte interface *** a result,the Ti/Zr co-doped NM91(NMTZ)exhibits a 91.2%capacity retention rate after 100 cycles,while that of NM91 is only82.9%.Also,the NMTZ displays better rate performance than NM91 with output capacities of 115 and93 mA h g^(-1)at a high current density of 5 C,***,the designed NMTZ could enable the full battery to deliver an energy density up to 263 W h kg^(-1),making the ultra-high nickel cobaltfree lithium layered oxide cathode closer to practical applications.

A nanobody-based blocking enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for detecting antibodies against pseudorabies virus glycoprotein E

Pseudorabies(Pr)is an acute infectious disease of pigs caused by the Pr virus(PrV)and results in great economic losses to the pig industry *** glycoprotein E(gE)-based enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)has been used to distinguish gE-deleted vaccine-immunized pigs from wild-type virus-infected pigs to eradicate Pr in some *** has the advantages of small size and easy genetic engineering and has been a promising diagnostic ***,there were few reports about developing nanobody-based ELISA for detecting anti-PrV-gE *** the present study,the recombinant PrV-gE was expressed with a bacterial system and used to immunize the Bactrian ***,two nanobodies against PrV-gE were screened from the immunized camel by phage display ***,two nanobody-HrP fusion proteins were expressed with HEK293T *** PrV-gE-Nb36-HrP fusion protein was selected as the probe for developing the blocking ELISA(bELISA)to detect anti-PrV-gE *** optimizing the conditions of bELISA,the amount of coated antigen was 200 ng per well,and dilutions of the fusion protein and tested pig sera were separately 1:320 and 1:*** cut-off value of bELISA was 24.20%,and the sensitivity and specificity were 96.43 and 92.63%,*** detecting 233 clinical pig sera with the developed bELISA and a commercial kit,the results showed that the coincidence rate of two assays was 93.99%.Additionallly,epitope mapping showed that PrV-gE-Nb36 recognized a conserved conformational epitope in different reference PrV ***,great stability and low-cost nanobody-based bELISA for detecting anti-PrV-gE antibodies were *** bELISA could be used for monitoring and eradicating Pr.
