A variety of pyrazole derivatives containing 1,3,4-thiadiazole moiety were synthesized under microwave irradiation, and their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR and HRMS. They were evaluated for herbicidal and antifungal activities, and the results indicated that two compounds with a phenyl group （6a） and 4-tert-butylphe- nyl group （6n） possess good herbicidal activity for dicotyledon Brassica campestris and Raphanus sativus with the inhibition of 90% for root and 80%-90% for stalk at 100 ppm respectively. The structure-activity relationship of compounds 6a and 6n was also studied by density function theory method.

Background Preoperative planning for children with congenital heart diseases remains crucial and *** study aimed to investigate the roles of three-dimensional printed patient-specific heart models in the presurgical planning for complex congenital heart *** From May 2017 to January 2018,15 children diagnosed with complex congenital heart disease were included in this *** models were printed based on computed tomography (CT) imaging reconstruction by a 3D printer with photosensitive resin using the stereolithography apparatus *** options were first evaluated by a sophisticated cardiac surgery group using CT images only,and then surgical plans were also set up based on heart *** Fifteen 3D printed heart models were successfully *** to the decisions based on CT,13 cases were consistent with real options,while the other 2 were *** to 3D printed heart models,all the 15 cases were consistent with real ***,one child diagnosed with complete transposition of great arteries combined with interruption of aortic arch (type A) died 5 days after operation due to postoperative low cardiac output *** cardiologists,especially the younger ones,considered that these 3D printed heart models with tangible,physical and comprehensive illustrations were beneficial for preoperative planning of complex congenital heart *** 3D printed heart models are beneficial and promising in preoperative planning for complex congenital heart diseases,and are able to help conform or even improve the surgery options.

Pyrazole carboxamide derivatives represent an important class of fungicides in agrochemicals. To find more novel structural pyrazole carboxamides, a novel series of 3-（trifluoromethyl）-lH-pyrazole-4-carboxamide compounds were prepared from ethyl 4,4,4-trifluoroace- toacetate and triethyl orthoformate as starting materials. All the products were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance （NMR）, 13C NMR, 19F NMR and mass spectrography. The bioassay results showed these fluorine-containing pyrazole carboxamides have a weak fungicidal activity but some of them exhibit a good nematocidal activity against M. incognita.

The effect of ammonium sulfamate （AS） content on the flame retardancy of polyamide 6 （PA6） was studied. It is found that the limiting oxygen index （LOI） of PA6 increases with the increase of AS content and the flame retardancy of PA6 is significantly improved. The morphology of the residues after combustion was examined by means of scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. SEM results show that AS facilitates the formation of the intumescent char layer with honeycomb-like structure, which inhibits the transfer of heat and mass, and thus improves the flame retardancy of PA6. The thermal degradation of AS flame retarded PA6 was studied by thermogravimetric analysis （TGA）. The Kissinger method was applied to estimate the activation energy （Ea） of the degradation. The activation energy of the thermal degradation of PA6 decreases by adding AS, indicating that AS can promote the degradation of PA6.

A series of stable waterborne polysiloxaneurethane （WPSUR） dispersions were prepared using amino-terminated polydimethylsiloxane （NS）, dimethylolpropionic acid （DMPA）, castor oil, polypropylene glycol and toluene diisocyanate. Meanwhile, NS with different molecular weights was synthesized and used as the soft co-segment. Effects of types and contents of soft co-segments as well as chain extenders on the thermal degradation and stability for WPSUR films were examined. Results reveal that WPSUR films exhibit excellent water resistance and mechanical properties as compared with pure polyurethane （PU） films, and the NS soft co-segment possesses a remarkable effect on the second stage （stage Ⅱ）, while the content of the hard segment is propitious to the initial stage （stage Ⅰ）. Moreover, the highest temperature of stage Ⅱ （T2m） for WPSUR films using NS as soft co-segment is 413℃, approximately being 30℃ higher than that of those typical PUs using HDA and APDMS as the chain extenders, respectively.

Erosion is one of the most concerning issues in pipeline flow assurance for the Oil&Gas pipeline industries,which can easily lead to wall thinning,perforation leakage,and other crucial safety risks to the steady operation of *** this research,a novel experimental device is designed to investigate the erosion characteristics of 304 stainless and L245 carbon steel in the gas-solid two-phase *** the impacts on erosion rate,the typical factors such as gas velocity,impact angle,erosion time,particle material and target material are individually observed and comprehensive analyzed with the assistance of apparent morphology characterized via Scanning Electron *** results show that the severest erosion occurs when the angle reaches approximate 30°whether eroded by type I or type II particles,which is observed in both two types of ***,304 stainless steel and L245 carbon steel appear to be cut at low angles,and impacted at high angles to form erosion *** the steady operational state,the erosion rate is insensitive to the short erosion time and free from the influences caused by the“erosion latent period”.Based on the comparison between experimental data and numerical results generated by existing erosion models,a modified model with low tolerance(<3%),high feasibility and strong consistency is proposed to make an accurate prediction of the erosion in terms of two types of steel under various industrial conditions.

Er2O3-doped bismuth silicate glasses are prepared by the conventional melt-quenching method, and the Er^3＋：^4 I13/2 → ^4I15/2 fluorescence properties are studied for different Er^3＋ concentrations. Infrared spectra are measured to estimate the exact content of OH- groups in the samples. Based on the electric dipole-dipole interaction theory, the interaction parameter CEr,Er for the migration rate of Er^3＋：^4 I13/2 → ^4I13/2 in proposed glasses is calculated.

Effects of operational factors on soluble microbial products in a carrier anaerobic baffled reactor treating dilute wastewater

The effects of feed strength, hydraulic residence time （HRT）, and operational temperatures on soluble microbial product （SMP） production were investigated, to gain insights into the production mechanism. A carrier anaerobic baffled reactor （CABR） treating dilute wastewater was operated under a wide range of operational conditions, namely, feed strengths of 300-600 mg/L, HRTs of 9- 18 h, and temperatures of 10-28℃. Generally, SMP production increased with increasing feed strength and decreasing temperature. At high temperature （28℃）, SMP production increased with decreasing HRT. As the temperature was decreased to 18 and 10℃, the SMP production was at its peak for 12 h HRT. Therefore, temperature could be an important determinant of SMP production along with HRT. A higher SMP to soluble chemical oxygen demand （SCOD） ratio was found at high temperature and long HRT because of complete volatile fatty acid degradation. SMP accounted for 50%-75% of the SCOD in the last chamber of the CABR. As a secondary metabolite, some SMP could be consumed at lower feed strength.
