In this study,we adopt the self-consistent Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov(HFB) theory with the proton-neutron quasi-particle random phase approximation(pnQRPA) based on the Skyrme force for calculation of the β^(-) -decay half-lives for nuclei with N~82 and 126 on possible r-process *** the calculations,the Skyrme interaction(e.g.,SKO’) is adopted,and the tensor interaction is added self-consistently in both HFB and QRPA *** systematically study how the half-life is changed by varying the strength of the triplet-even(TE) and triplet-odd(TO) components as well as the IS *** find that a variation in strength of the IS pairing of approximately 20% does not produce a substantial effect on β-decay rates with or without the tensor force,while a strength variation of the TO tensor force considerably affects the change in the β-decay half-lives for the very neutron rich N~82 and 126 isotonic *** addition,with the inclusion of the tensor force,the GT decay becomes dominant for very neutron-rich nuclei.

Effects of finite-range tensor force onβ-decay of magic and semimagic nuclei of^(34)Si,^(68,78)Ni,and^(132)Sn have been investigated using the self-consistent Hartree–Fock plus random-phase approximation *** tensor force shifts the low-lying Gamow–Teller states downward and systematically improves the calculations of Q and logft ***,it systematically reduces the deviations between the theoretical and experimental data and significantly improves the calculation ofβ-decay *** effect is similar to that of zero-range tensor force.

We study the one-dimensional tight-binding model with quasi-periodic disorders,where the quasi-period is tuned to be large compared to the system *** is found that this type of model with large quasi-periodic disorders can also support the mobility edges,which is very similar to the models with slowly varying quasi-periodic *** energy-matching method is employed to determine the locations of mobility edges in both types of *** results of mobility edges are verified by numerical calculations in various *** also provide qualitative arguments to support the fact that large quasi-periodic disorders will lead to the existence of mobility edges.

The lead-free perovskites Cs_(3)B_(2)X_(9)(B=Sb,Bi;X=Cl,Br,I)as the popular photoelectric materials have excellent optical properties with lower *** this study,we systematically investigate the stable monolayer Cs_(3)B_(2)X_(9)and bilayer vertical heterostructure Cs_(3)B_(2)X_(9)/Cs3B02X9(B,B0=Sb,Bi;X=Cl,Br,I)via first-principles *** exploring the electrical structures and band edge positions,we find the band gap reduction and the band type transition in the heterostructure Cs_(3)B_(2)X_(9)/Cs3B02X9 due to the charge transfer between ***,the results of optical properties reveal light absorption from the visible light to UV region,especially monolayer Cs3Sb2I9 and heterostructure Cs3Sb2I9/Cs3Bi2I9,which have absorption peaks in the visible light region,leading to the possibility of photocatalytic water *** results provide insights for more two-dimensional semiconductors applied in the optoelectronic and photocatalytic fields.

MoS_(2),a transition metal dichalcogenide(TMDC),has attracted significant amount of attention due to its direct bandgap,tunability and optical ***,a novel structure consisting of MoS_(2) and noble metal nanoclusters has been *** by this,first principle calculations are implemented to predict the structures of M_(6)X_(2) and M_(6)XX'(M=Au,Ag;X,X'=S,Se).The calculated bandgap,band edge position,and optical absorption of these structures prove that the silver compounds(Ag_(6)X_(2) and Ag_(6)XX')have great potential for catalytic water *** addition,biaxial strain(tensile strain and compressive strain)is applied to adjust the properties of these *** bandgap presents a quasi-linear trend with the increase of the applied ***,the transition between the direct and indirect bandgap is *** outstanding electronic and optical properties of these materials provide strong evidence for their application in microelectronic devices,photoelectric devices,and photocatalytic materials.

Orthodontic pain is an inflammatory pain that is initiated by orthodontic force-induced vascular occlusion followed by a cascade of inflammatory responses, including vascular changes, the recruitment of inflammatory and immune cells, and the release of neurogenic and pro-inflammatory mediators. Ultimately, endogenous analgesic mechanisms check the inflammatory response and the sensation of pain subsides. The orthodontic pain signal, once received by periodontal sensory endings, reaches the sensory cortex for pain perception through three-order neurons： the trigeminal neuron at the trigeminal ganglia, the trigeminal nucleus caudalis at the medulla oblongata and the ventroposterior nucleus at the thalamus. Many brain areas participate in the emotion, cognition and memory of orthodontic pain, including the insular cortex, amygdala, hippocampus, locus coeruleus and hypothalamus. A built-in analgesic neural pathway--periaqueductal grey and dorsal raphe---has an important role in alleviating orthodontic pain. Currently, several treatment modalities have been applied for the relief of orthodontic pain, including pharmacological, mechanical and behavioural approaches and low-level laser therapy. The effectiveness of nonsteroidal anti- inflammatory drugs for pain relief has been validated, but its effects on tooth movement are controversial. However, more studies are needed to verify the effectiveness of other modalities. Furthermore, gene therapy is a novel, viable and promising modality for alleviatin~ orthodontic oain in the future.

The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the colour stabilities of three types of orthodontic clear aligners exposed to staining agents in vitro. Sixty clear orthodontic aligners produced by three manufacturers （Invisalign, Angelalign, and Smartee） were immersed in three staining solutions （coffee, black tea, and red wine） and one control solution （distilled water）. After 12-h and 7-day immersions, the aligners were washed in an ultrasonic cleaner and measured with a colourimeter. The colour changes （△E＊） were calculated on the basis of the Commission Internationale de I＇Eclairage L＊a＊b＊ colour system （CIE L＊a＊b＊）, and the results were then converted into National Bureau of Standards （NBS） units. Fourier transformation infrared （FT-IR） spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy （SEM） were conducted to observe the molecular and morphologic alterations to the aligner surfaces, respectively. The three types of aligners exhibited slight colour changes after 12 h of staining, with the exception of the Invisalign aligners stained with coffee. The Invisalign aligners exhibited significantly higher AE＊ values （ranging from 0.30 to 27.81） than those of the Angelalign and Smartee aligners （AE＊ values ranging from 0.33 to 1.89 and 0.32 to 1.61, respectively, P〈O.05）. IFT-IR analysis confirmed that the polymer-based structure of aligners did not exhibit significant chemical differences before and after the immersions. The SEM results revealed different surface alterations to the three types of aligner materials after the 7-day staining. The three types of aesthetic orthodontic appliances exhibited colour stability after the 12-h immersion, with the exception of the Invisalign aligners stained by coffee. The Invisalign aligners were more prone than the Angelalign and Smartee aligners to pigmentation. Aligner materials may be improved by considering aesthetic colour stability properties.

Structure-guided Capacitance Relationships in Oxidized Graphene Porous Materials Based Supercapacitors

Supercapacitors formed from porous carbon and graphene-oxide(GO)materials are usually dominated by either electric double-layer capacitance,pseudo-capacitance,or *** to these combined features,reduced GO materials have been shown to offer superior capacitance over typical nanoporous carbon materials;however,there is a significant variation in reported values,ranging between 25 and 350 F g^(−1).This undermines the structure(e.g.,oxygen functionality and/or surface area)-performance relationships for optimization of cost and scalable *** work demonstrates important structure-controlled charge storage *** this,a series of exfoliated graphene(EG)derivatives are produced via thermal-shock exfoliation of GO precursors and following controlled graphitization of EG(GEG)generates materials with varied amounts of porosity,redox-active oxygen groups and graphitic *** results show significantly varied capacitance values between 30 and 250 F g^(−1)at 1.0 A g^(−1)in GEG structures;this suggests that for a given specific surface area the redox-active and hydrophilic oxygen content can boost the capacitance to 250–300%higher compared to typical mesoporous carbon *** with identical oxygen functionality show a surface area governed *** allows to establish direct structure-performance relationships between 1)redox-active oxygen functional concentration and capacitance and 2)surface area and capacitance.
