Interfacial Zn2+-solvation regulator towards reversible and stable Zn anode

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） are fundamentally challenged by the instability of the electrode/electrolyte interface,predominantly due to irreversible zinc （Zn） deposition and hydrogen ***,the intricate mechanisms behind the electrochemical discrepancies induced by interfacial Zn2+-solvation and deposition behavior demand comprehensive *** molecules endowed with special functional groups （such as hydroxyl,carboxyl,etc.） have the potential to significantly optimize the solvation structure of Zn2+and regulate the interfacial electric double layer （EDL）.By increasing nucleation overpotential and decreasing interfacial free energy,these functional groups facilitate a lower critical nucleation radius,thereby forming an asymptotic nucleation model to promote uniform Zn ***,this study presents a pioneering approach by introducing trace amounts of n-butanol as solvation regulators to engineer the homogenized Zn （H-Zn） anode with a uniform and dense *** interfacial reaction and structure evolution are explored by in/ex-situ experimental techniques,indicating that the H-Zn anode exhibits dendrite-free growth,no by-products,and weak hydrogen evolution,in sharp contrast to the bare ***,the H-Zn anode achieves a remarkable Zn utilization rate of approximately 20% and simultaneously sustains a prolonged cycle life exceeding 500 ***,the H-Zn//NH4V4O10（NVO） full battery showcases exceptional cycle stability,retaining 95.04%capacity retention after 400 cycles at a large current density of 5 A *** study enlightens solvation-regulated additives to develop Zn anode with superior utilization efficiency and extended operational lifespan.

Effects of ultrasonic-assisted extraction on bioactive compounds,volatile flavors and antioxidant activities of vine tea water extracts

Background:Ampelopsis grossedentata,vine tea,which is the tea alternative beverages in *** vine tea processing,a large amount of broken tea is produced,which has low commercial ***:This study investigates the influence of different extraction methods(room temperature water extraction,boiling water extraction,ultrasonic-assisted room temperature water extraction,and ultrasonic-assisted boiling water extraction,referred to as room temperature water extraction(RE),boiling water extraction(BE),ultrasonic assistance at room temperature water extraction(URE),and ultrasonic assistance in boiling water extraction(UBE))on the yield,dihydromyricetin(DMY)content,free amino acid composition,volatile aroma components,and antioxidant properties of vine tea ***:A notable influence of extraction temperature on the yield of vine tea extracts(P<0.05),with BE yielding the highest at 43.13±0.26%,higher than that of RE(34.29±0.81%).Ultrasound-assisted extraction significantly increased the DMY content of the extracts(P<0.05),whereas DMY content in the RE extracts was 59.94±1.70%,that of URE reached 66.14±2.78%.Analysis revealed 17 amino acids,with L-serine and aspartic acid being the most abundant in the extracts,nevertheless ultrasound-assisted extraction reduced total free amino acid *** chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis demonstrated an increase in the diversity and quantity of compounds in the vine tea water extracts obtained through ultrasonic-assisted ***,69 and 68 volatile compounds were found in URE and UBE extracts,which were higher than the number found in RE and BE *** vitro,antioxidant activity assessments revealed varying antioxidant capacities among different extraction methods,with RE exhibiting the highest DPPH scavenging rate,URE leading in ABTS•+free radical scavenging,and BE demonstrating superior ferric ion reducing antioxidant ***:The findings suggest that extraction methods signi

Cells are the fundamental units of biological systems and exhibit unique development trajectories and molecular features. Our exploration of how the genomes orchestrate the formation and maintenance of each cell, and control the cellular phenotypes of various organismsis, is both captivating and intricate. Since the inception of the first single-cell RNA technology, technologies related to single-cell sequencing have experienced rapid advancements in recent years. These technologies have expanded horizontally to include single-cell genome, epigenome,proteome, and metabolome, while vertically, they have progressed to integrate multiple omics data and incorporate additional information such as spatial sc RNA-seq and CRISPR screening. Single-cell omics represent a groundbreaking advancement in the biomedical field,offering profound insights into the understanding of complex diseases, including cancers. Here, we comprehensively summarize recent advances in single-cell omics technologies, with a specific focus on the methodology section. This overview aims to guide researchers in selecting appropriate methods for single-cell sequencing and related data analysis.

De novo synthesis of atropisomeric benzofurans via Cu/SPDO complex catalyzed asymmetric formal [3 + 2] annulation

Herein, the de novo synthesis of atropisomeric benzofurans through the Cu/spirocyclic-pyrrolidine-oxazoline(SPDO) complex catalyze asymmetric formal [3 + 2] cycloaddition between quinones and ynamides is explored, producing a range of structurally diverse axially chiral benzofurans in satisfactory yields with good to excellent enantioselectivities. Furthermore, density functional theory calculations were applied to explain the possible reaction mechanism.

Analysis of Chinese Anti-Suit Injunctions in SEP Litigation

In this article,two cases of Standard Essential Patents,ruled by the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China,are presented and *** first Chinese anti-suit injunction in SEP litigation appeared in the first case through the method of behavior preservation,and the second case illustrates a clear intent by the Chinese courts to compete for global royalty rate *** international concerns raised about these cases,it is proved that the anti-suit injunction cases in China do not show any abusive or illegal *** worldwide anti-suit injunctions in China are granted legitimately with legal jurisdiction over the cases,sufficient legal grounds for behavior preservation with the nature of anti-suit injunctions,the necessity of granting worldwide injunctions,and suitable granting *** pieces of advice are proposed for the future application of anti-suit injunctions,including improvements in the predictability of validity scope,consistency of implementation,and clarification of penalties.

Kinetic Monte Carlo simulation of growth of BaTiO_3 thin film via pulsed laser deposition

Considering the characteristics of perovskite structure, a kinetic Monte Carlo(KMC) model, in which Born-Mayer- Huggins(BMH) potential was introduced to calculate the interatomic interactions and the bonding ratio was defined to reflect the crystallinity, was developed to simulate the growth of BaTiO3 thin film via pulsed laser deposition(PLD). Not only the atoms deposition and adatoms diffusion, but also the bonding of adatoms were considered distinguishing with the traditional algorithm. The effects of substrate temperature, laser pulse repetition rate and incident kinetic energy on BaTiO3 thin film growth were investigated at submonolayer regime. The results show that the island density decreases and the bonding ratio increases with the increase of substrate temperature from 700 to 850 K. With the laser pulse repetition rate increasing, the island density decreases while the bonding ratio increases. With the incident kinetic energy increasing, the island density decreases except 6.2 eV

Separation of silver from silver-manganese ore with cellulose as reductant

The silver in some silver-manganese ore with a grade of 3.15×10?4 was concentrated by a combined beneficiation technique including magnetic separation, flotation, reducing leaching and gravity desliming. The major silver contained in manganese ore as isomorphism was concentrated by magnetic separation, while around 8.50% of the silver individual minerals were separated by flotation. The manganese in the mixed concentrate of both magnetic separation and flotation was dissolved in a reducing leaching, in which some cellulose reductant named CMK was used. Part of the slime contained in leach residue was removed by a laboratory desliming equipment. A silver concentrate with a grade of 4.96×10?3 Ag and a recovery of 84.25% were obtained.

Effect of yttrium on microstructures and mechanical properties of hot rolled AZ61 wrought magnesium alloy

The microstructures and mechanical properties of the rolled AZ61 alloys containing different contents of Y (0, 0.5, 0.9, 1.4%Y respectively) were studied. Phase analysis was performed by X-ray diffraction(XRD). Microstructures of experimental materials were observed by optical microscope(OM) and scanning electron microscope(SEM) equipped with energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS). The results show that the alloys with variable Y contents all contain a second-phase Al2Y. The amount of Al2Y increases with the increasing of Y content while that of Mg17Al12 decreases. Moreover, Y refines the microstructures of as-cast and rolled alloys. The finest average grain size is obtained in the alloy containing 0.9%Y with the best mechanical properties. When the Y content is up to 1.4%, Al2Y phase in the alloy coarsens, which leads to the drop of tensile strength.

Numerical Study of Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Shell-and-Tube Molten Salt Electric Heater with Circularly Perforated Baffles

Numerical simulations of the flow and heat transfer characteristics of four shell-and-tube molten salt electric heaters with different perforation rates was ***-and-tube electric heaters have the same geometry and tube arrangement,and all of them use single segmental baffles,but there exist four different baffle openings（φ）,i.e.,0%,2.52%,4.06%,and 6.31%.The results indicated that the reasonable baffle opening could significantly reduce the shell-side pressure drop,effectively decreasing the shell-side flow dead zone *** can eliminate the local high-temperature phenomenon on the surface of electric heating tubes,but the heat transfer coefficient is slightly *** perforated schemes significantly reduce shell-side pressure drop compared to the baseline solution without open *** particular,the φ=6.31% scheme exhibits the optimal performance among all the schemes,with a maximum reduction of up to 50.50% in shell-side pressure drop relative to the unopened holes *** heat transfer coefficient is the highest for φ=0%,exhibiting a range of5.26% to 5.73%,5.14% to 5.99%,and 7.31% to 8.54% higher than φ=2.52%,4.06%,and 6.31%,respectively,within the calculated *** composite index h/（Δp）1/3was higher for all open-hole solutions than that for the unopened-hole *** best overall performance was for φ=6.31%,which improved the composite index by15.29% to 17.18% over the unopened-hole solution.

Scheme for realizing quantum computation and quantum information transfer with superconducting qubits coupling to a 1D transmission line resonator

This paper proposes a simple scheme for realizing one-qubit and two-qubit quantum gates as well as multiqubit entanglement based on de-SQUID charge qubits through the control of their coupling to a 1D transmission line resonator （TLR）. The TLR behaves effectively as a quantum data-bus mode of a harmonic oscillator, which has several practical advantages including strong coupling strength, reproducibility, immunity to 1/f noise, and suppressed spontaneous emission. In this protocol, the data-bus does not need to stay adiabatically in its ground state, which results in not only fast quantum operation, hut also high-fidelity quantum information processing. Also, it elaborates the transfer process with the 1D transmission line.
