Enhancing the anti-corrosion performance and biocompatibility of AZ91d Mg alloy by applying roughness pretreatment and coating with in-situ Mg(OH)_(2)/Mg-Al LdH

Corrosion-resistant and biocompatible films were fabricated on AZ91d Mg alloy substrates by varying their roughness levels using met-allographic preparation and subsequent hydrothermal *** coated films comprised a mixed structure of Mg(OH)_(2)and Mg-Al layered double hydroxides(LdH)and exhibited excellent *** film thickness increased with decreasing surface *** resistance was evaluated using potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance *** pretreat-ment influenced the chemical activity of the Mg alloy surface and helped modulate the dissolution rate of the Mg_(17)Al_(12)phase during the hydrothermal *** decreasing roughness of the Mg substrate,the Al^(3+)concentration gradually increased,accelerating the in-situ formation of the Mg(OH)_(2)/LdH composite coating and improving its crystallinity.A thick and dense Mg(OH)_(2)/LdH coating was synthesized on the Mg substrate with the least roughness,substantially improving the corrosion resistance of the AZ91d *** lowest corrosion current density((5.73±2.75)×10^(−8)A·cm^(−2))was achieved,which was approximately three orders of magnitude less than that of bare ***,the coating demonstrated biocompatibility with no evident cytotoxicity,cellular damage,and hemolytic *** study provides an effective method for preparing coatings on Mg alloy surfaces with excellent corrosion resistance and biocompatibility.

User Purchase Intention Prediction Based on Improved deep Forest

Widely used deep neural networks currently face limitations in achieving optimal performance for purchase intention prediction due to constraints on data volume and hyperparameter *** address this issue,based on the deep forest algorithm and further integrating evolutionary ensemble learning methods,this paper proposes a novel deep Adaptive Evolutionary Ensemble(dAEE)*** model introduces model diversity into the cascade layer,allowing it to adaptively adjust its structure to accommodate complex and evolving purchasing behavior ***,this paper optimizes the methods of obtaining feature vectors,enhancement vectors,and prediction results within the deep forest algorithm to enhance the model’s predictive *** demonstrate that the improved deep forest model not only possesses higher robustness but also shows an increase of 5.02%in AUC value compared to the baseline ***,its training runtime speed is 6 times faster than that of deep models,and compared to other improved models,its accuracy has been enhanced by 0.9%.

The impact of cyclodextrins(Cds)on wine quality and stability remains largely *** study systematically assessed the protective effect of the post-fermentation addition of Cds on color stability of red wine from the viewpoints of color characteristics,copigmentation and phenolic *** grey relational analysis(GrA)and principal component analysis(PCA)methods were employed to dissect the key effective determinants related to color *** addition of Cds induced a significant hyperchromic effect of 8.19-25.40%,a significant bathochromic effect and an enhancement of the color ***,the evolution of anthocyanin forms and the content of monomeric anthocyanins revealed that β-Cd is a superior favorable cofactor during wine aging,but for long-term aging,2-HP-β-Cd and 2-HP-γ-Cd are more beneficial in promoting the formation of polymerized anthocyanins and color *** work provides an important reference for the use of Cds to enhance the color quality and stability of red wines.

Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)undergo various degradation phenomena such as material decomposition,structural change and uneven lithium ion distribution during long-term cycles,which would affect their performance and *** order to improve the performance of the LIBs during their life cycle,preload force is preset when the batteries are *** preload forces will in turn affect the cycle life and heat generation of the *** order to address this issue,this work carries out charge/discharge cycle tests on a NCM811 battery under different preload *** calorimetry tests are performed to investigate the battery heat generation under different states of health(SOHs)and preload *** on the test results,an empirical prediction model for heat generation power as a function of SOH is *** show that when the preload force is 5 N·m,the battery capacity decreases in the slowest rate and the average heat generation power is the *** in peaks of the incremental capacity curve can be used to characterize the loss of lithium at the electrode,which in turn characterizes the change of heat generation power of the *** average heat generation power is mainly affected by the SOH,going through a period of trough with the decrease of the SOH and continuing to increase after crossing the critical *** general,these findings emphasize the relationship between preload force,SOH and heat generation power,which is helpful for the judgment of optimal preload to improve the efficiency of LIBs.

Seasonal thermal energy storage using natural structures:GIS-based potential assessment for northern China

Seasonal thermal energy storage(STES)allows storing heat for long-term and thus promotes the shifting of waste heat resources from summer to winter to decarbonize the district heating(dH)*** being a promising solution for sustainable energy system,large-scale STES for urban regions is lacking due to the relatively high initial investment and extensive land *** close the gap,this study assesses the potentials of using two naturally available structures for STES,namely valley and ground pit *** on geographical information system(GIS)methods,the available locations are searched from digital elevation model and selected considering several criteria from land uses and construction *** costs of dams to impound the reservoir and the yielded storage capacities are then quantified to guide the choice of suitable *** assessment is conducted for the northern China where dH systems and significant seasonal differences of energy demand *** total,2,273 valley sites and 75 ground pit sites are finally identified with the energy storage capacity of 15.2 billion GJ,which is much larger than the existing dH demand in northern *** results also prove that 682 valley sites can be achieved with a dam cost lower than 20 CNY/m^(3).By conducting sensitivity analysis on the design dam wall height and elevations,the choices of available natural structures are expanded but practical issues about water pressures and constructions are also ***,the identified sites are geographically mapped with nearest urban regions to reveal their roles in the dH *** general,560 urban regions are found with potential STES units and most of them have STES storage capacities larger than their own dH *** novel planning methodology of this study and publicly available datasets create possibilities for the implementations of large-scale STES in urban dH systems.

Flotation separation of feldspar from quartz using sodium fluosilicate as a selective depressant

The physical and chemical properties of feldspar and quartz are highly similar,thus they cannot be easily separated *** this work,the flotation separation of feldspar from quartz using sodium fluosilicate(Na_(2)SiF_(6);SF)as a selective depressant was ***,the influence mechanism of SF on the selective flotation separation of feldspar and quartz was investigated via flotation tests,chemical analysis of flotation solution,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIr),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and contact angle *** results of the flotation tests show that feld spar and quartz without SF treatment have good *** SF treatment,feldspar still has good floatability,whereas quartz has significantly reduced *** solution chemical analysis shows that the functional group plays an important role in depressing the quartz is[SiF_(6)]^(2-).FTIr,XPS and contact angle analysis results show that[SiF_(6)]^(2-)is adsorbed only on the surface of ***,a thin hydrophilic SiOF layer is generated on the surface,which interferes with the adsorption of the collector on the surface of the *** phenomenon leads to a significant reduction in quartz's ***,SF has a good ability to separate feldspar from quartz by flotation.

Modifications in aroma characteristics of'Merlot'dry red wines aged in American,French and Slovakian oak barrels with different toasting degrees

Aging in oak barrels is widely used in enology which could bring flavor changes and aromatic complexity to *** the present study,the aroma compounds were analyzed from the‘Merlot’dry red wines,which were fermented in two types of fermenters(stainless steel tank and rotated oak barrel)and aged in six types of oak barrels(three geographic origins×two toasting degrees)for different time(0,3,6 and 9 months,respectively).results showed that 30 volatiles were associated with barrels and increased during oak *** fermenters could influence the intensities of the toast,leathery,smoky,fruity,floral and caramel *** concentration of whisky lactone,eugenol,cis-isoeugenol,and the intensities of the toast and spicy aromas were highest in the wines aged in American oak and were lowest in the wines aged in French oak *** concentrations of guaiacol,syringol,trans-isoeugenol,furfural alcohol,vanilla,cis-whisky lactone enabled the medium toasting barrels to be distinguished from the light toasting *** compounds originating from the barrels could be used to distinguish the types of different barrels,but the other general grape-derived and fermentation-derived volatiles could *** fermenters,oak species and toasting degrees of the barrels all had significant effects on the aroma profiles of the aged‘Merlot’dry red wines,but the influence of the geographic origin was not obvious.

A path planning method for robot patrol inspection in chemical industrial parks

Safety patrol inspection in chemical industrial parks is a complex multi-objective task with multiple degrees of *** pointer instruments with advantages like high reliability and strong adaptability to harsh environment,are widely applied in such ***,they rely on manual readings which have problems like heavy patrol workload,high labor cost,high false positives/negatives and poor *** address the above problems,this study proposes a path planning method for robot patrol in chemical industrial parks,where a path optimization model based on improved iterated local search and random variable neighborhood descent(ILS-rVNd)algorithm is established by integrating the actual requirements of patrol tasks in chemical industrial ***,the effectiveness of the model and algorithm is verified by taking real park data as an *** results show that compared with GA and ILS-rVNd,the improved algorithm reduces quantification cost by about 24%and saves patrol time by about 36%.Apart from shortening the patrol time of robots,optimizing their patrol path and reducing their maintenance loss,the proposed algorithm also avoids the untimely patrol of robots and enhances the safety factor of equipment.

The double-layer NiCr-Cr_(3)C_(2)/Ni-Zn-Al_(2)O_(3) coatings with sufficient corrosion and wear resistance were prepared on low carbon steel *** intermediate layers Ni-Zn-Al_(2)O_(3) were fabricated by using low-pressure cold spray (LPCS) method to improve the salt fog corrosion resistance properties of the supersonic plasma spray (SPS) NiCr-Cr_(3)C_(2) *** friction and wear performance for the double-layer and single-layer NiCr-Cr_(3)C_(2) coatings were carried out by line-contact reciprocating sliding,*** with the coating surface analysis techniques,the effect of the salt fog corrosion on the tribological properties of the double-layer coatings was *** results showed that the double-layer coatings exhibited better wear resistance than that of the single-layer coatings,due to the better corrosion resistance of the intermediate layer;the wear mass losses of the double-layer coatings was reduced by 70%than that of the single layer coatings and the wear mechanism of coatings after salt fog corrosion conditions is mainly corrosion wear.
