Multi-stimuli-responsive chromic switching self-assembled with polyoxometalate and copper-viologen frameworks

Chromic materials with multi-stimuli responses have received tremendous attention from industry and academia for their potential applications in smart windows,data storage,military camouflage,molecular switches,modulators,*** develop multi-stimuli-responsive color-changing materials with high sensi-tivity and high stability,a polyoxometalate-based copper-viologen framework,formulated as Cu_(2)(H_(2)O)_(2)(L)_(2)[PW_(12)O_(40)][OH^(-)]·2H_(2)O(HNU-97,H_(2)L^(2+)=1,10-(1,4-phenylenebis(methylene))bis(4-carboxypyridinium)),was prepared by a mild one-step self-assembly *** analysis shows that HNU-97 presents a supramolecular structure formed by a one-dimensional copper-viologen frame-work and polyoxometalates through rich hydrogen bonds,anion-πinteractions,*** studies show that HNU-97 exhibits reversible and rapid response characteristics to various external stimuli,such as 10 s to UV radiation,5 min to heating,and 5 min to ammonium/amine *** mechanism re-veals that different external excitation sources lead to different preferential transfer directions of electrons,resulting in different discoloration *** construct stimuli-chromic materials with good mechanical properties,we successfully introduced HNU-97 into the poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)/glycerol(Gly)hydrogel to obtain a composite HNU-97@PVA/***,HNU-97@PVA/Gly combines the merits of each component and can achieve signifi-cant response discoloration behavior under both UV irradiation and ammonia *** work will provide an idea for the construction of multiple stimuli-responsive materials.

The Infiuence of Velocity-dependent Correction Factor on Proton Decay Reactions in Massive White Dwarfs

Twenty-five typical massive white dwarfs(WDs)are selected and the proton decay reaction catalyzed by magnetic monopoles(MMs)for these WDs is discussed.A velocity-dependent correction factor strongly affects the *** find that a strong suppression controls the monopole catalysis of nucleon decay by the correction *** maximum number of MMs is captured and the luminosity can be 2.235×10^(21)and 1.7859×10^(32)erg s^(-1)(e.g.,for the O+Ne core mass WD J055631.17+130639.78).The luminosities of most massive WDs agree well with the observations at relatively low temperatures(e.g.,T_(6)=0.1),but can be three and two orders of magnitude higher than those of the observations for model(Ⅰ)and(Ⅱ)at relatively high temperatures(e.g.,T_(6)=10),*** luminosities of model(Ⅰ)are about one order of magnitude higher than those of model(Ⅱ).Since we consider the effect of the number of MMs captured on the mass–radius relation and the suppression of the proton decay by the correction factor,the study by model(Ⅱ)may be an improved estimation.

The emergence of microbial drug resistance,coupled with the paucity of new antibiotics poses an impending threat to public *** this work,we drew inspiration from synthetic peptidoglycan oligomers and successfully constructed antibody-recruiting peptidoglycan analogs,2a-d,with excellent safety profiles and high efficiencies in recruiting antibodies across different ***,we demonstrated that these peptidoglycan analogs could be readily incorporated into bacteria cell walls,whereby both simple monoclonal and pooled human serum antibodies effectively congregated to the surfaceengineered bacteria,leading to the complete extermination of the engineered bacterial cells both in vitro and in *** peptidoglycan analog agents for recruiting endogenous antibodies to combat pathogenic bacteria enable further development of promising broad-spectrum immunotherapeutics.

Integrated analysis reveals an association between the rhizosphere microbiome and root rot of arecanut palm

The rhizosphere microbial community is crucial to plant *** studies have explored the association between the rhizosphere microbiome and plant ***,few studies have focused on root rot in arecanut palm,a disease causing devastating effects and thus resulting in economic losses that considerably affect the development of the arecanut ***,rhizosphere samples were collected from both healthy arecanut palm plants and root-rotted arecanut palm plants,and the microbial communities were analyzed using high-throughput *** root-rotted samples exhibited distinct microbial community richness,diversity,and composition compared with the healthy samples,which was associated with p H according to the Mantel *** potential plant pathogens,including Proteobacteria,Bacteroidetes,Chytridiomycota,and Mortierellomycota,were significantly enriched in the root-rotted *** contrast,potentially beneficial plant microbes,such as Acidobacteria and Gemmatimonadetes,were significantly depleted in the root-rotted ***-occurrence networks were constructed to further identify microbial relationships in the root-rotted *** findings revealed ecological imbalance among beneficial bacteria in the root-rotted *** present study therefore provides an integrated view of the association between the microbial community and root rot in arecanut palm.

In our efforts to construct new metal-organic frameworks （MOFs） by template-directing method, a new cadmium oxalate, [Co（NH3）612[Cds（C204）ll（H20）4].8H20 （denoted HNU-1 ）, has been synthesized under hydrothermal condition in the presence of C0（NH3）6C13, The crystal structure of HNU-1 was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction （monoclinic, C2/c）, a = 11.126（2）A, b = 17.361 （4）,A, c = 16.119（3）A, fi = 102.40（3）, V = 3040.8（10） A and Z = 8. The open framework of HNU-1 contains 12-ring channels and exhibits a 5-connected sqp topological network with dinuclear Cd（ll） clusters acting as nodes. The Co（NH3）63＋ cations and unusual hydrogen-bonded （H20）4 clusters are found in the 12-ring channels with an alternative arrangement. It is believed that the （H20）4 clusters play a co-templating role in the crystallization of HNU-1.

Macular retinal thickness and flow density change by optical coherence tomography angiography after posterior scleral reinforcement

Optical coherence tomography angiography(Angio-OCT) has introduced a new non-invasive,quantitative method to assess superficial and deep capillary networks of the *** this study,we investigated macular retinal thickness and flow density change following posterior scleral reinforcement(PSR) surgery,using an RTVue XR Avanti Angio-OCT,in patients with pathological myopia.A total of 13 patients with pathological myopia were recruited and all patients completed the 6 months follow-up *** from 22 eyes were used in this *** mean age was 36.23±15.29 years,and 43%(n=6) were *** equivalent refractive error(SE) ranged from –8.0 to –24.0 *** axial length,best-corrected visual acuity and SE did not change significantly at each follow-up,compared with pre-operative measures(P>0.05).Postoperative flow density of superficial and deep retinal layers at each sector did not change significantly at each follow-up,compared with preoperative measures(P>0.05).However,we found significant decrease in retinal thickness of parafovea-inferior sector after PSR surgery(P<0.01),indicating potential relaxation of vitreofoveal traction after PSR surgery.

Artificial intelligence on diabetic retinopathy diagnosis: an automatic classification method based on grey level co-occurrence matrix and naive Bayesian model

AIM: To develop an automatic tool on screening diabetic retinopathy(DR) from diabetic ***: We extracted textures from eye fundus images of each diabetes subject using grey level co-occurrence matrix method and trained a Bayesian model based on these textures. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was used to estimate the sensitivity and specificity of the Bayesian ***: A total of 1000 eyes fundus images from diabetic patients in which 298 eyes were diagnosed as DR by two ophthalmologists. The Bayesian model was trained using four extracted textures including contrast, entropy, angular second moment and correlation using a training dataset. The Bayesian model achieved a sensitivity of 0.949 and a specificity of 0.928 in the validation dataset. The area under the ROC curve was 0.938, and the 10-fold cross validation method showed that the average accuracy rate is 93.5%.CONCLUSION: Textures extracted by grey level cooccurrence can be useful information for DR diagnosis, and a trained Bayesian model based on these textures can be an effective tool for DR screening among diabetic patients.

Dielectric loss of half-doped manganite La_(0.5)Ca_(0.5)MnO_3

The dielectric loss tanfi of half-doped manganite ***3 is investigated using Green＇s function technique. The ***3 is described by the Kondo-lattice model in the double exchange limit, taking into account the Jahn- Teller distortion and the super-exchange interaction between the localized electrons. It is found that the intensity of tans decreases with increasing [e]TI, V, and U. It is also observed that the transition temperature Tp rises as l eJTI and U increase. It is worth noting that Tp remains unchanged and the strength of tans increases with increasing g. The calculated dielectric loss results are explained theoretically, and these behaviors are in qualitative agreement with the experimental results.
