Electrocatalytic nitrate reduction reaction(e-NO_(3)RR)offers a promising alternative method for nitrogen cycling and ammonia(NH3)production under ambient ***,the method is still in the dilemma of lowering the reaction overpotential and increasing the reaction *** successfully developed the composition-adjustable Co_(6)Mo_(6)C/Co/N-doped carbon(NC)catalysts by in situ carbonization of Co-based metal-organic framework(MOF)with the constrained phosphomolybdic *** adjusting the ratio of Co0 and Co_(6)Mo_(6)C,Co_(6)Mo_(6)C/Co/NC-3 could satisfy both NO_(3)−conversion at low potential and NH_(x)hydrogenation,and synthesize ammonia efficiently through the synergistic effect of Co0 and Co_(6)Mo_(6)*** achieved an ammonia yield rate as 1233.2μg·h^(−1)·mgcat^(−1)and Faradaic efficiency of NH4+93.6%at−0.33 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE).Importantly,density functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental results have demonstrated for the first time the excellent adsorption of nitrite(NO_(2)^(−))by the Mo sites of Co_(6)Mo_(6)C during e-NO_(3)RR,avoiding the undesirable accumulation of NO_(2)^(−).

AIM: To investigate whether the gene variants in MYOC and ABCA1 are associated with primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG) and anterior chamber depth(ACD) and axial length(AL) in samples from northern China. METHODS: The present case-control association study consisted of 500 PACG patients and 720 unrelated controls. Each participant was genotyped for eleven single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) in MYOC and ABCA1 genes(rs12076134, rs183532, rs235875 and rs235913 in MYOC, rs2422493, rs2487042, rs2472496, rs2472493, rs2487032, rs2472459 and rs2472519 near ABCA1) using an improved multiplex ligation detection reaction(iMLDR) technique. The genetic association analyses were performed by PLINK using a logistic regression model. The association between genotypes and ocular biometric parameters was performed by SPSS using generalized estimation equation. Bonferroni corrections wereimplemented and the statistical power was calculated by the Power and Sample Size Calculation. RESULTS: Two SNPs rs183532 and rs235875 as well as a haplotype TTC in MYOC were nominally associated with PACG despite the significance was lost after Bonferroni correction. No association was observed between ABCA1 and PACG, neither did the association between these variants and ACD as well as AL. CONCLUSION: The present study suggests MYOC and ABCA1 do not play a part in the pathogenesis of PACG as well as the regulation of ocular biometric parameters in a northern Chinese population. Further investigations with large sample size are needed to verify this consequence.

Enzyme-induced carbonate precipitation (EICP) is an emerging technique to improve the soil and most studies are carried out at room temperature. However, considering some foundations are in high-temperature environments (>40 ℃), the higher urease activity at high temperature results in the solidification inhomogeneity, limiting the application of EICP. The higher urease activity at high temperature hampers the application of EICP because of solidification inhomogeneity. The garlic extract has been used as a type of urease inhibitor in medical science and food engineering. Here, we propose to use it to control urease activity for sand solidification at high temperature. The effects of garlic extract addition on urease activity and precipitation rates for calcium carbonate (CaCO_(3)) were studied. Extra tests were conducted to study the effect of garlic extract addition on the solidification homogeneity. The results showed that the garlic extract addition significantly decreased urease activity. To reduce the rate of CaCO3 precipitation at different temperatures, a suitable concentration of garlic extract was necessary to obtain a suitable urease activity. In the sand solidification test, garlic extract addition resulted in a smaller difference in sonic time values or CaCO_(3) contents at different parts of samples. The improved solidification homogeneity can achieve higher strength. The correlation between sonic time values and CaCO_(3) content was higher than that between CaCO3 content and strength. Appropriate concentrations of garlic extract were obtained at 35 ℃, 40℃, 45 ℃, 50 ℃, and 55 ℃. The proposed garlic extract addition method was significant to improve the homogeneity of solidified soil in practical engineering applications.

A scalable strategy for the convenient and rapid preparation of nitrogen-doped carbon-coated iron-based alloy catalysts was *** controlling the type and amount of metal salts in the precursor,various types of nitrogen-doped carbon-coated alloy catalysts can be prepared in a targeted ***_(2)Ni2@CN materials with small particle sizes and relatively homogeneous basic sites showed promising results in the N-alkylation reaction of benzyl alcohol with aniline(optimum yield:99%).It is worth noting that the catalyst can also be magnetically separated and recovered after the reaction,and its performance can be regenerated through simple ***,it was confirmed by kinetic experiments that the activation of C–H at the benzyl alcohol benzylic position is the rate-determining step(RDS).According to density flooding theory calculations,Fe_(2)Ni2@CN catalysts require less energy than other materials(Fe@CN and Ni@CN)for the RDS(dehydrogenation reaction)*** N-alkylation reactions are more easily carried out on Fe_(2)Ni2@CN catalysts,which may be the reason for the best catalytic activity of Fe-Ni alloy *** carbon-coated alloy materials will show great potential in more types of heterogeneous catalysis.

Theoretical Studies on Structure, Isomerization, and Stability of [Si, O, S]

The structures, energetics, and isomerization of a possible interstellar [Si, O, S] system were explored at the CCSD（T）/aug-cc-pVQZ//CCSD（T）/aug-cc-pVTZ level. On the schemaitc potential energy surface（PES）, we found that silicon oxysulfide（OSiS） produced in laboratory is the global minimum. An analysis of the Wiberg bond index（WBI）, bond order and the bond length, shows that silicon oxysulfide contains SiO and SiS double bonds in ac- cordance with the results of SchnOckel. Besides silicon oxysulfide, another interesting cyclic minimum（c-SiOS） was found to have a very high kinetic stability stabilized by the least barrier of 120.9 kJ/mol. In light of the fact that no cyclic sulfide-containing species has been detected in space, c-SiOS could be a very promising candidate. The presented results might provide useful information on detected interstellar molecules O=Si=S and c-SiOS.
