N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A), the most prevalent and conserved RNA modification in eukaryotic cells, profoundly influences virtually all aspects of mRNA metabolism. mRNA plays crucial roles in neural stem cell genesis and neural regeneration, where it is highly concentrated and actively involved in these processes. Changes in m^(6)A modification levels and the expression levels of related enzymatic proteins can lead to neurological dysfunction and contribute to the development of neurological diseases. Furthermore, the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells, as well as nerve regeneration, are intimately linked to memory function and neurodegenerative diseases. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the roles of m^(6)A in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal, as well as its implications in memory and neurodegenerative diseases. m^(6)A has demonstrated divergent effects on the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells. These observed contradictions may arise from the time-specific nature of m^(6)A and its differential impact on neural stem cells across various stages of development. Similarly, the diverse effects of m^(6)A on distinct types of memory could be attributed to the involvement of specific brain regions in memory formation and recall. Inconsistencies in m^(6)A levels across different models of neurodegenerative disease, particularly Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, suggest that these disparities are linked to variations in the affected brain regions. Notably, the opposing changes in m^(6)A levels observed in Parkinson's disease models exposed to manganese compared to normal Parkinson's disease models further underscore the complexity of m^(6)A's role in neurodegenerative processes. The roles of m^(6)A in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal, and its implications in memory and neurodegenerative diseases, appear contradictory. Pulsed dynamic electrolysis enhanced PEMWE hydrogen production:Revealing the effects of pulsed electric fields on protons mass transport and hydrogen bubble escape

The transition of hydrogen sourcing from carbon-intensive to water-based methodologies is underway,with renewable energy-powered proton exchange membrane water electrolysis （PEMWE） emerging as the preeminent pathway for hydrogen *** remarkable advancements in this field,confronting the sluggish electrochemical kinetics and inherent high-energy consumption arising from deteriorated mass transport within PEMWE systems remains a formidable *** impediment stems primarily from the hindered protons mass transfer and the untimely hydrogen bubbles *** address these challenges,we harness the inherent variability of electrical energy and introduce an innovative pulsed dynamic water electrolysis *** to constant voltage electrolysis (hydrogen production rate:51.6 m L h-1,energy consumption:5.37 kWh Nm-3H2),this strategy (hydrogen production rate:66 m L h-1,energy consumption:3.83 kWh Nm-3H2) increases the hydrogen production rate by approximately 27%and reduces the energy consumption by about 28%.Furthermore,we demonstrate the practicality of this system by integrating it with an off-grid photovoltaic （PV） system designed for outdoor operation,successfully driving a hydrogen production current of up to 500 mA under an average voltage of approximately 2 *** combined results of in-situ characterization and finite element analysis reveal the performance enhancement mechanism:pulsed dynamic electrolysis （PDE） dramatically accelerates the enrichment of protons at the electrode/solution interface and facilitates the release of bubbles on the electrode *** such,PDE-enhanced PEMWE represents a synergistic advancement,concurrently enhancing both the hydrogen generation reaction and associated transport *** promising technology not only redefines the landscape of electrolysis-based hydrogen production but also holds immense potential for broadening its application across a diverse spectrum of electrocatalytic endeavors.

Stabilities of delay stochastic McKean-Vlasov equations in the G-framework

This article focuses on a type of stochastic Mc Kean-Vlasov equation in the G-framework(G-SMVE) and addresses the stability issue for delay stochastic Mc Kean-Vlasov equations in the G-framework(G-SMVDEs). Distribution dependence and uncertainty prevent us from directly applying the stochastic analysis method for stochastic Mc Kean-Vlasov equations(SMVEs)to G-SMVEs directly. To overcome this difficulty, we introduce definitions, including the derivative of a function with a law under the G-expectation and the Lions derivatives. Then we construct a new G-It? formula for G-SMVEs according to the G-It? formula for stochastic differential equations in the G-framework(G-SDEs) and the It? formula for SMVEs. Using the new G-It? formula and the Lyapunov functional method, we investigate the moment exponential stability and almost sure asymptotic stability of G-SMVDEs. To overcome the difficulty in obtaining the distribution dependence of the exact solution to the G-SMVDE, we introduce the empirical measure and the corresponding interacting particle system, and then prove the stability equivalence between the underlying G-SMVDE and the corresponding interacting particle system. Two examples are used to confirm our theoretical results.

An Online Exploratory Maximum Likelihood Estimation Approach to Adaptive Kalman Filtering

Over the past few decades, numerous adaptive Kalman filters(AKFs) have been proposed. However, achieving online estimation with both high estimation accuracy and fast convergence speed is challenging, especially when both the process noise and measurement noise covariance matrices are relatively inaccurate. Maximum likelihood estimation(MLE) possesses the potential to achieve this goal, since its theoretical accuracy is guaranteed by asymptotic optimality and the convergence speed is fast due to weak dependence on accurate state ***, the maximum likelihood cost function is so intricate that the existing MLE methods can only simply ignore all historical measurement information to achieve online estimation,which cannot adequately realize the potential of MLE. In order to design online MLE-based AKFs with high estimation accuracy and fast convergence speed, an online exploratory MLE approach is proposed, based on which a mini-batch coordinate descent noise covariance matrix estimation framework is developed. In this framework, the maximum likelihood cost function is simplified for online estimation with fewer and simpler terms which are selected in a mini-batch and calculated with a backtracking method. This maximum likelihood cost function is sidestepped and solved by exploring possible estimated noise covariance matrices adaptively while the historical measurement information is adequately utilized. Furthermore, four specific algorithms are derived under this framework to meet different practical requirements in terms of convergence speed, estimation accuracy,and calculation load. Abundant simulations and experiments are carried out to verify the validity and superiority of the proposed algorithms as compared with existing state-of-the-art AKFs.

Rheo-optic in situ synchronous study on the gelation behaviour and mechanism of waxy crude oil emulsions

An improved rheo-optic in situ synchronous measurement system was employed to investigate the gelation behaviour and mechanism of waxy crude oil emulsions. By combining transmitted natural light and reflected polarized light microscopy, a multiangle composite light source was built to achieve the simultaneous observation of wax crystals and emulsified water droplets, as well as their dynamic aggregation process. Main outcomes on the microscopic mechanism were obtained by developed microscopic image processing method. It was found that the microstructure of W/O waxy crude oil emulsion has the evolution of “individual structure--homogeneous aggregate structure--heterogeneous coaggregate structure--floc structure” during the static cooling, which results in the four stages during gelation process. Different from previous studies, the aggregation of emulsified water droplets was found to be more significant and contributes to the formation and development of the wax crystals-emulsified water droplets coaggregate, which plays a decisive role in the further evolution of the gelled microstructure. Time series microscopic images show the dynamic aggregation of emulsified water droplets and wax crystals. Two different aggregation behaviours between wax crystals and water droplets were observed. That wax crystals can not only embed in gaps between adjacent water droplets and enhance the structure, but also surround the outside of the water droplets and continue to grow resulting in the interconnection of different coaggregates to form a larger floc structure. In addition, correlation between viscoelasticity and microstructure evolution of waxy crude oil emulsions of different water contents was discussed. With increasing water contents, the microstructure is changed from wax crystal flocculation structure as the main skeleton and the emulsified water droplets embedded in it, into the aggregation of emulsified water droplets occupying the main position. Beyond Performance of Learning Control Subject to Uncertainties and Noise: A Frequency-Domain Approach Applied to Wafer Stages

The increasingly stringent performance requirement in integrated circuit manufacturing, characterized by smaller feature sizes and higher productivity, necessitates the wafer stage executing a extreme motion with the accuracy in terms of nanometers. This demanding requirement witnesses a widespread application of iterative learning control(ILC), given the repetitive nature of wafer scanning. ILC enables substantial performance improvement by using past measurement data in combination with the system model knowledge. However, challenges arise in cases where the data is contaminated by the stochastic noise, or when the system model exhibits significant uncertainties, constraining the achievable performance. In response to this issue, an extended state observer(ESO) based adaptive ILC approach is proposed in the frequency *** being model-based, it utilizes only a rough system model and then compensates for the resulting model uncertainties using an ESO, thereby achieving high robustness against uncertainties with minimal modeling effort. Additionally, an adaptive learning law is developed to mitigate the limited performance in the presence of stochastic noise, yielding high convergence accuracy yet without compromising convergence speed. Simulation and experimental comparisons with existing model-based and data-driven inversion-based ILC validate the effectiveness as well as the superiority of the proposed method.

Synergetic effects of lanthanum,nitrogen and phosphorus tri-doping on visiblelight photoactivity of TiO_2 fabricated by microwave-hydrothermal process

Effects of La, N, and P doping on the structural, electronic and optical properties of TiO_2 synthesized from TiCl_4 hydrolysis via a microwave-hydrothermal process were investigated by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, N_2 adsorption-desorption isotherm, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance, UV-vis absorbance spectroscopy, photoelectrochemical measurements, and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The results showed that the presence of La in the tri-doped TiO_2 played a predominant role in inhibiting the recombination of the photogenerated electrons and holes. The existence of the substitutional N, interstitial N, and oxygen vacancies in TiO_2 lattices led to the band gap narrowing. It was P-doping rather than La or N doping that played a key role in inhibiting both anatase-to-rutile phase transformation and crystal growth, in stabilizing the mesoporous textural properties, and in increasing the content of surface bridging hydroxyl. Moreover, the tri-doping significantly enhanced the surface Ti^（4＋）-O^（2-）-Ti^（4＋）-O^（-·） species. All above-mentioned factors cooperated to result in the enhanced photoactivity of the tri-doped TiO_2. As a result, it exhibited the highest photoactivity towards the degradation of 4-chlorophenol（4-CP） under visible-light irradiation among all samples, which was much superior to commercial P25 TiO_2.

Adaptive backstepping-based NTSM control for unmatched uncertain nonlinear systems

An adaptive backstepping-based non-singular termi- nal sliding mode （NTSM） control method is proposed for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems in the parameteric-strict feedback form. The adaptive control law is combined with the first n - 1 steps of the backstepping method to estimate the unknown pa- rameters of the system. In the nth step, an NTSM control strategy is utilized to drive the last state of the system to converge in a finite time. Furthermore, the derivate estimator is used to obtain the derivates of the states of the error system; the higher-order non-singular terminal sliding mode control （HONTSMC） law is de- signed to eliminate the chattering and make the system robust to both matched and unmatched uncertainties. Compared to the adaptive backstepping-based linear sliding mode control method （LSMC）, the proposed method improves the convergence rate and the steady-state tracking accuracy of the system, and makes the control signal smoother. Finally, the compared simulation results are presented to validate the method.
