Lithological Facies Classification Using Attention-Based Gated Recurrent Unit

Lithological facies classification is a pivotal task in petroleum geology, underpinning reservoir characterization and influencing decision-making in exploration and production operations. Traditional classification methods, such as support vector machines and Gaussian process classifiers, often struggle with the complexity and nonlinearity of geological data, leading to suboptimal performance. Moreover, numerous prevalent approaches fail to adequately consider the inherent dependencies in the sequence of measurements from adjacent depths in a well. A novel approach leveraging an attention-based gated recurrent unit (AGRU) model is introduced in this paper to address these challenges. The AGRU model excels by exploiting the sequential nature of well-log data and capturing long-range dependencies through an attention mechanism. This model enables a flexible and context-dependent weighting of different parts of the sequence, enhancing the discernment of key features for classification. The proposed method was validated on two publicly available datasets. Results demonstrate a considerably improvement over traditional methods. Specifically, the AGRU model achieved superior performance metrics considering precision, recall, and F1-score.

Besides the diverse investigations on the interactions between intense laser fields and molecular systems,extensive research has been recently dedicated to exploring the response of nanosystems excited by well-tailored femtosecond laser *** to the fact that nanostructures hold peculiar effects when illuminated by laser pulses,the underlying mechanisms and the corresponding potential applications can make significant improvements in both fundamental research and development of novel *** this review,we provide a summarization of the strong field ionization occurring on the surface of *** molecules attached to the nanoparticle surface perform as the precursor in the ionization and excitation of the whole nanosystem,the fundamental processes of which are yet to be *** discuss the influence on nanoparticle constituents,geometric shapes and sizes,as well as the specific waveforms of the excitation laser *** intriguing characteristics observed in surface ion emission reflect how enhanced near field affects the localized ionizations and nanoplasma expansions,thereby paving the way for further precision controls on the light-and-matter interactions in the extreme spatial temporal levels.

It is an important way to realize rural revitalization and sustainable development to guide rural settlement transition(RST)in an appropriate *** paper uses actor network theory(ANT)to construct a theoretical framework for the study of *** two typical villages with different transition paths in rural areas of North china Plain as examples,this paper reveals the mechanism of RST and makes a comparative *** results show that:1)after identifying problems and obligatory passage point,key actors recruit heterogeneous actors into the actor network by entrusting them with common interests,and realize RST under the system operation.2)Rural settlements under different transition paths have similarities in the problems to be solved,collective actions and policy factors,but there are differences in the transition process,mechanism and *** actor network and mechanism of RST through the path of new rural community construction are more complex and the transition effect is more *** contrast,the degree of RST of retention development path is limited if there is no resource and location advantage.3)Based on the applicable conditions of different paths,this paper designs a logical framework of‘Situation-Structure-Behavior-Result’to scientifically guide the identification of RST paths under the background of rural revitalization.

Possible bias of the constraints on the Hubble constant owing to the quasi-Gaussian distribution of DM_(IGM)in fast radio bursts

Fast radio bursts(FRBs)are useful cosmological probes with numerous applications in *** distribution of the dispersion measurement contribution from the intergalactic medium is a key issue.A quasi-Gaussian distribution has been used to replace the traditional Gaussian distribution,yielding promising ***,this study suggests that there may be additional challenges in its *** used 35 well-localized FRBs to constrain the Hubble constant H_(0)along with two FRB-related parameters,yielding H_(0)=■The best-fitting Hubble constant H_(0)is smaller than the value obtained from the Cosmic Microwave Background(CMB),which may be caused by the small sample size of current FRB *** Carlo simulations indicate that a set of 100 simulated FRBs provides a more precise fitting result for the Hubble ***,the precision of the Hubble constant does not improve when further enlarging the FRB *** simulations reveal a systematic deviation in the fitting results of H_(0),attributed to the quasi-Gaussian distribution of the dispersion measure in the intergalactic *** this,the results remain reliable within 1σuncertainty,assuming that a sufficient number of FRB data points are available.

The distribution of the nuclear ground-state spin in a two-body random ensemble(TBRE)was studied using a general classification neural network(NN)model with two-body interaction matrix elements as input features and the corresponding ground-state spins as labels or output *** quantum many-body system problem exceeds the capability of our optimized NNs in terms of accurately predicting the ground-state spin of each sample within the ***,our NN model effectively captured the statistical properties of the ground-state spin because it learned the empirical regularity of the ground-state spin distribution in TBRE,as discovered by physicists.

Improving flight performance of UAVs by ice shape modulation

Aircraft icing poses a great threat to flight *** response to the characteristics of high-power consumption,large volume,and heavy weight of traditional anti-/de-icing technologies,the concept of ice shape modulation is proposed,which is called ice tolerant ***,the flight performance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)was compared in three states:no ice,full ice,and modulated ice through flight *** was found that ice shape modulation has a significant improvement effect on the aerodynamic performance of aircraft under icing *** the three modulated ice shape conditions in this experiment,the lift coefficient of the UAV under different ice shape modulation conditions increased by 18%–33%,and the stalling angle was delayed by 3°-5°.Subsequently,the pressure distribution,streamlines in the flow field,and detached vortex distribution of the UAV model in these three states were obtained through numerical simulation,to study the mechanism of ice shape modulation on the aerodynamic performance of *** simulation found that the reason for the improvement of the wings effect after ice shape modulation is that the modulated area forms a leading-edge protrusion structure similar to a vortex *** structure prolongs the mixed flow region on the wings surface and reduces the trend of flow separation,which plays a role in increasing lift and reducing drag for UAVs under icing ***,a reverse reachable set that can be used for unexpected state recovery is used as the definition of flight safety boundaries,and an aircraft dynamics model is established to obtain flight safety boundaries for different *** has found that the flight safety boundary of the UAV in a no ice state is greater than that in a modulated ice state,and the safety boundary in a modulated ice state is greater than that in a full ice *** with the full ice state,the flight safety boundary after modulation has expanded by 27.0%.The sch

Characterization and quantification of multi-field coupling in lithium-ion batteries under mechanical constraints

Combo Packet:An Encryption Traffic Classification Method Based on Contextual Information

With the increasing proportion of encrypted traffic in cyberspace, the classification of encrypted traffic has becomea core key technology in network supervision. In recent years, many different solutions have emerged in this *** methods identify and classify traffic by extracting spatiotemporal characteristics of data flows or byte-levelfeatures of packets. However, due to changes in data transmission mediums, such as fiber optics and satellites,temporal features can exhibit significant variations due to changes in communication links and transmissionquality. Additionally, partial spatial features can change due to reasons like data reordering and *** with these challenges, identifying encrypted traffic solely based on packet byte-level features is significantlydifficult. To address this, we propose a universal packet-level encrypted traffic identification method, ComboPacket. This method utilizes convolutional neural networks to extract deep features of the current packet andits contextual information and employs spatial and channel attention mechanisms to select and locate effectivefeatures. Experimental data shows that Combo Packet can effectively distinguish between encrypted traffic servicecategories (e.g., File Transfer Protocol, FTP, and Peer-to-Peer, P2P) and encrypted traffic application categories (e.g.,BitTorrent and Skype). Validated on the ISCX VPN-non VPN dataset, it achieves classification accuracies of 97.0%and 97.1% for service and application categories, respectively. It also provides shorter training times and higherrecognition speeds. The performance and recognition capabilities of Combo Packet are significantly superior tothe existing classification methods mentioned.
