Hybrid Hierarchical Particle Swarm Optimization with Evolutionary Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm for Task Scheduling in Cloud Computing

Task scheduling plays a key role in effectively managing and allocating computing resources to meet various computing tasks in a cloud computing *** execution time and low load imbalance may be the challenges for some algorithms in resource scheduling *** this work,the Hierarchical Particle Swarm Optimization-Evolutionary Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm(HPSO-EABC)has been proposed,which hybrids our presented Evolutionary Artificial Bee Colony(EABC),and Hierarchical Particle Swarm Optimization(HPSO)*** HPSO-EABC algorithm incorporates both the advantages of the HPSO and the EABC *** testing including evaluations of algorithm convergence speed,resource execution time,load balancing,and operational costs has been *** results indicate that the EABC algorithm exhibits greater parallelism compared to the Artificial Bee Colony *** with the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm,the HPSO algorithmnot only improves the global search capability but also effectively mitigates getting stuck in local *** a result,the hybrid HPSO-EABC algorithm demonstrates significant improvements in terms of stability and convergence ***,it exhibits enhanced resource scheduling performance in both homogeneous and heterogeneous environments,effectively reducing execution time and cost,which also is verified by the ablation experimental.

Free-standingβ-Ta_(2)O_(5)/SWCNTs composite film for high-rate Li-ion storage

The rapid development of portable and wearable electronic devices is responding to the urgent demand for high-efficiency flexible energy storage *** supercapacitors,showing long cycle life,high power density,and good safety,are considered ideal ***,the relatively low energy density restricts their practical *** a large dielectric constant of 18-46,Ta_(2)O_(5)-based materials typically exhibit excellent electron-binding ability,which is critical for enhancing the energy density of *** this work,the free-standingβ-Ta_(2)O_(5)/single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)composite film was prepared,with a highβ-Ta_(2)O_(5)loading of over 70%.By anchoringβ-Ta_(2)O_(5)nanoparticles onto the surface of SWCNTs,the system’s flexibility and conductivity were significantly enhanced,which also facilitated the intercalation electrodynamics of metal *** a result,the flexibleβ-Ta_(2)O_(5)/SWCNTs film exhibits excellent Li-ion storage performance,with a high volumetric specific capacitance of 392.3 F cm^(-3)at the scan rate of 10 mV s^(-1)and 198.9 F cm^(-3)at 500 mV s^(-1).In addition,the asymmetric device,assembled by theβ-Ta_(2)O_(5)/SWCNTs and activated carbon films,shows a high energy density of 45.5 Wh kg^(-1)at the power density of 10.8 kW kg^(-1).This technique opens up a new avenue for improving the energy density and rate performance of flexible supercapacitors.

The digital twin is the concept of transcending reality,which is the reverse feedback from the real physical space to the virtual digital *** hold great prospects for this emerging *** order to realize the upgrading of the digital twin industrial chain,it is urgent to introduce more modalities,such as vision,haptics,hearing and smell,into the virtual digital space,which assists physical entities and virtual objects in creating a closer ***,perceptual understanding and object recognition have become an urgent hot topic in the digital *** surface material classification schemes often achieve recognition through machine learning or deep learning in a single modality,ignoring the complementarity between multiple *** order to overcome this dilemma,we propose a multimodal fusion network in our article that combines two modalities,visual and haptic,for surface material *** the one hand,the network makes full use of the potential correlations between multiple modalities to deeply mine the modal semantics and complete the data *** the other hand,the network is extensible and can be used as a universal architecture to include more *** show that the constructed multimodal fusion network can achieve 99.42%classification accuracy while reducing complexity.

With the increasing demand for multifunctional optoelectronic devices,flexible electrochromic energy storage devices are being widely recognized as promising platforms for diverse ***,simultaneously achieving high capacitance,fast color switching and large optical modulation range is very *** this study,the MXenebased flexible in-plane microsupercapacitor was fabricated via a mask-assisted spray coating *** adding electrochromic ethyl viologen dibromide(EVB)into the electrolyte,the device showed a reversible color change during the charge/discharge *** to the high electronic conductivity of the MXene flakes and the fast response kinetics of EVB,the device exhibited a fast coloration/bleaching time of 2.6 s/2.5 s,a large optical contrast of 60%,and exceptional coloration *** addition,EVB acted as a redox additive to reinforce the energy storage performance;as a result,the working voltage window of the Ti_(3)C_(2)-based symmetric aqueous microsupercapacitor was extended to 1 ***,the device had a high areal capacitance of 12.5 mF cm^(−2)with superior flexibility and mechanical stability and showed almost 100%capacitance retention after 100 bending *** as-prepared device has significant potential for a wide range of applications in flexible and wearable electronics,particularly in the fields of camouflage,anticounterfeiting,and displays.

Robust beamforming for IRS-aided SWIPT in cognitive radio networks

Intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)is widely recognized as a promising technique to enhance the system perfor-mance,and thus is a hot research topic in future wireless *** this context,this paper proposes a robust BF scheme to improve the spectrum and energy harvesting efficiencies for the IRS-aided simultaneous wireless information and power transfer(SWIPT)in a cognitive radio network(CRN).Here,the base station(BS)utilizes spectrum assigned to the primary users(PUs)to simultaneously serve multiple energy receivers(ERs)and information receivers(IRs)through IRS-aided multicast *** particular,by assuming that only the imperfect channel state information(CSI)is available,we first formulate a constrained problem to maximize the minimal achievable rate of IRs,while satisfying the harvesting energy threshold of ERs,the quality-of-service requirement of IRs,the interference threshold of PUs and transmit power budget of *** address the non-convex problem,we then adopt triangle inequality to deal with the channel uncertainty,and propose a low-complexity algorithm combining alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM)with alternating optimi-zation(AO)to jointly optimize the active and passive beamformers for the BS and IRS,***,our simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed BF scheme and also provide useful insights into the importance of introducing IRS into the CRN with SWIPT.

Universal tweakable Even-Mansour cipher and its applications

The construction of the tweakable Even-Mansour cipher is in fact the designs of permutations,mask operations,and masking *** information-theoretic security,permutations are usually taken as random *** paper focuses on the mask operations and masking functions to construct a universal tweakable Even-Mansour ***,we describe a formal definition of a universal masking function and provide a universal tweakable Even-Mansour cipher *** the random permutation model,we prove that UTEM is multi-key secure by H-coefficients *** we show some efficient instantiations of the universal masking function to concertize ***,we apply UTEM to an encryption mode TIE(tweak incrementation encryption)and an authenticated encryption mode IAPM(integrity aware parallelizable mode),present two new schemes TIE-plus and IAPM-plus,and prove their *** enriches tweakable blockciphers,brings more research topics,and plays an important role in modes of operation,which will be of great significance.

Low temperature synthesis of high-entropy(Y_(0.2)Yb_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Er_(0.2))_(2)O_(3)nanofibers by a novel electrospinning method

High-entropy ceramics(HECs)show outstanding properties such as amorphous-like thermal conductivities,colossal dielectric constant,superionic conductivity,enhanced electromagnetic wave absorption ability,super hardness and strength,which are promising for structural and functional ***,the high synthesis temperature has become the bottleneck that hinders the scale-up production and practical applications of *** is thus appealing to develop a novel low-temperature process for the synthesis of *** demonstrate the feasibility of low-temperature synthesis,herein,an electrospinning method has been utilized,for the first time,for the synthesis of high-entropy(Y_(0.2)Yb_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Er_(0.2))_(2)O_(3)*** has been found that after electrospinning from liquid precursors single phase(Y_(0.2)Yb_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Er_(0.2))_(2)O_(3) solid solution with bixbyite structure can be formed by calcining at a temperature as low as 500℃,which is at least about 1000℃ lower than that used in the solid-state synthesis *** as-prepared(Y_(0.2)Yb_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Er_(0.2))_(2)O_(3) nanofibers are continuous and uniform with a smooth surface and a small diameter of 150 *** is also intriguing that the average grain size of(Y_(0.2)Yb_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Er_(0.2))_(2)O_(3) is only about 10 nm,which is much smaller than that in the solid-state synthesized *** addition,all the elements are homogeneously distributed along the *** work demonstrates that high-entropy ceramic nanofibers can be synthesized from liquid precursors at low temperatures through a simple,efficient,and low-cost electrospinning method,which opens up a new avenue for the low-temperature synthesis of HECs.
