This paper presents thermodynamic evaluations of the agriculture residual-to-SNG process by thermochemical conversion, which mainly consists of the interconnected fluidized beds, hot gas cleaning, fluidized bed methanation reactor and Selexol absorption unit. The process was modeled using Aspen Plus soft-ware. The process performances, i.e., CH4 content in SNG~ higher heating value and yield of SNGexergy efficiencies with and without heat recovery, unit power consumption, were evaluated firstly. The results indicate that when the other parameters remain unchanged, the steam-to-biomass ratio at carbon boundary point is the optimal value for the process. Im proving the preheating temperatures of air and gasifying agent is beneficial for the SNG yield and exergy effi ciencies. Due to the effects of COz removal efficiency, there are two optimization objectives for the SNG produc tion process：（I） to maximize CH4 content in SNC or （II） to maximize SNG yield. Further, the comparison among different feedstocks indicates that the decreasing order of SNG yield is： corn stalk 〉 wheat straw 〉 rice straw. The evaluation on the potential of agriculture-based SNG shows that the potential annual production of agriculture re sidual-based SNG could be between 555 108 - 611 108 m3 with utilization of 100% of the available unexplored resources. The agriculture residual-based SNG could play a significant role on solving the big shortfall of China＇s natural gas supply in future.

Preparation of activated carbon from chicken waste is a promising way to produce a useful adsorbent for Hg removal. A three-stage activation process （drying at 200℃, pyrolysis in N2 atmosphere, followed by CO2 activation） was used for the production of activated samples. The effects of carbonization temperature （409-4500℃）, activation temperature （700-900℃）, and activation time （1-2.5 h） on the physicochemical properties （weight-loss and BET surface） of the prepared carbon wereinvestigated. Adsorptive removal of mercury from real flue gas onto activated carbon has been studied. The activated carbon from chicken waste has the same mercury capacity as commercial activated carbon （Darco LH）（Hg^v： 38.7% vs. 53.5%, Hg^0： 50.5% vs. 68.8%）, although its surface area is around 10 times smaller, 89.5 m^2/g vs. 862 m^2/g. The low cost activated carbon can be produced from chicken waste, and the procedure is suitable.

A new multi-functional bridge seismic isolation bearing(MFBSIB) is designed and its mechanical model is developed in this *** an upper sliding device and a lower energy dispassion isolation device effectively,the new MFBSIB can adjust the deformation caused by temperature,vehicle breaks,and concrete creep,etc.,in addition to dissipating *** switch of 'slide-isolation' is achieved and the efficiency of both upper and lower parts is validated through experiment with a *** shear performance curve established in this paper is verified to be efficient in describing the mechanical characteristics of the bearing through *** is proved through both numerical calculation and experimental analysis that the new MFBSIB is endowed with enough vertical rigidity,good energy dissipation ability,stable overall performance,and good realization in expected *** performance is slightly influenced by shear stress,while affected by vertical pressure,loading frequency,slide limit,etc.,*** results could provide reference for study and application of the new MFBSIB.

A novel gain-scheduled switching control method for the longitudinal motion of a flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicle （FAHV） is proposed. Firstly, velocity and altitude are selected as scheduling variables, a polytopic linear parameter varying （LPV） model is developed to represent the complex nonlinear longitudinal dynamics of the FAHV. Secondly, based on the obtained polytopic LPV model, the flight envelope is divided into four smaller subregions, and four gain-scheduled controllers are designed for these parameter subregions. Then, by the defined switching characteristic function, these gain-scheduled controllers are switched in order to guarantee the closed-loop FAHV system to be asymptotically stable and satisfy a given tracking error performance criterion. The condition of gain-scheduled switching controller synthesis is given in terms of linear matrix inequalities （LMIs） which can be easily solved by using standard software packages. Finally, simulation results show the effectiveness of the presented method.

Time domain analysis is an essential implement to study the buffeting behavior of long-span bridges for it can consider the non-linear effect which is significant in long-span bridges. The prerequisite of time domain analysis is the accurate description of 3D turbulence winds. In this paper, some hypotheses for simplifying the 3D turbulence simulation of long-span cable-stayed bridges are conducted, considering the structural characteristics. The turbulence wind which is a 3D multivariate stochastic vector process is converted into four independent 1D univariate stochastic processes. Based on recorded wind data from structural health monitoring system (SHMS) of the Sutong Bridge, China, the measured spectra expressions are then presented using the nonlinear least-squares fitting method. Turbulence winds at the Sutong Bridge site are simulated based on the spectral representation method and the Fast Fourier transform (FFT) technique, and the relevant results derived from target spectra including measured spectra and recommended spectra are compared. The reliability and accuracy of the presented turbulence simulation method are validated through comparisons between simulated and target spectra (measured and recommended spectra). The obtained turbulence si-mulations can not only serve further analysis of the buffeting behavior of the Sutong Bridge, but references for structural anti-wind design in adjacent regions.

This article proposes a linear parameter varying （LPV） switching tracking control scheme for a flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicle （FAHV）. First, a polytopic LPV model is constructed to represent the complex nonlinear longitudinal model of the FAHV by using Jacobian linearization and tensor-product （T-P） model transformation approach. Second, for less conservative controller design purpose, the flight envelope is divided into four sub-regions and a non-fragile LPV controller is designed for each parameter sub-region. These non-fragile LPV controllers are then switched in order to guarantee the closed-loop FAHV system to be asymptotically stable and satisfy a specified performance criterion. The desired non-fragile LPV switching controller is found by solving a convex constraint problem which can be efficiently solved using available linear matrix inequality （LMI） techniques, and robust stability analysis of the closed-loop FAHV system is verified based on multiple Lypapunov functions （MLFs）. Finally, numerical simulations have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Elastic-plastic steel damper(EPSD) is a new device controlling seismic *** mechanical principle of EPSD was presented and a comparison was conducted between the theoretical formulas and finite element(FE) simulation of damper *** verified force-displacement hysteretic curve of the damper system was obtained with reference to *** Nanjing Jiangxinzhou Bridge(NJB) was subsequently taken as the case to investigate the seismic response control effect of EPSDs on single-tower self-anchored suspension bridges.A 3-dimensional FE model of the bridge was established in ANSYS and the dynamic and static analyses of the bridge were conducted,the control effect of EPSDs under different seismic waves was further investigated through nonlinear time-history analysis based on the validated *** showed that both the simplified theoretical and FE simulation methods can preferable reflect the mechanical performance of EPSD,and that seismic responses of NJB with EPSDs are better than those with elastic connection device or fluid viscous ***,the control effect of EPSDs is influenced by seismic wave characteristics.

This paper proposes a novel relay selection strategy based on the feedback beamforming(BF)information through designed sector sweep(SSW)report frame for millimeter-wave(mmWave)wireless personal networks(WPANs).First,an SSW report frame compatible with IEEE 802.11ad standard is ***,an approach collecting instantaneous channel state information(CSI)overheard during BF is ***,with the aim of minimizing the outage probability and maximizing the overall network throughput capacity,the optimal relay selection issue for non-line-of-sight(NLoS)links is formulated as a bipartite graph,and Kuhn Munkres(KM)algorithm is provided to resolve *** theoretical analysis and simulation results show,with CSI considering NLoS conditions and selected relays according to the overall network throughput capacity maximization principle,the improvements achieved over opportunistic relay selection strategy in terms of overall network throughput capacity and outage probability with minimal modifications to IEEE 802.11ad.
