Dependence of lithium metal battery performances on inherent separator porous structure regulation

Boosting of rechargeable lithium metal batteries(LMBs) holds challenges because of lithium dendrites germination and high-reactive surface *** may experience structure-determined chemical deterioration and worsen Li plating-stripping behaviors when smoothly shifting from lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) to *** study precisely regulations the crystal structure of β-polypropylene and separator porous construction to investigate the intrinsic porous structure and mechanical properties determined electrochemical performances and cycling durability of *** structure characterizations,porous structure analyses,and electrochemical cycling tests uncover appropriate annealing thermal stimulation concentrates β-lamellae thickness and enhances lamellae thermal stability by rearranging molecular chain in inferior β-lamellae,maximally homogenizing biaxial tensile deformation and resultant porous *** even pores with high connectivity lower ion migration barriers,alleviate heterogeneous Li^(+) flux dispersion,stabilize reversible Li plating-stripping behaviors,and hinder coursing and branching of Li dendrites,endowing steady cell cycling durability,especially at higher currents due to the highlighted uncontrollable cumulation of dead Li,which offers new insights for the current pursuit of high-power density battery and fast charging *** suggested separator structure-chemical nature functions in ensuring cyclic cell stability and builds reliable relationships between separator structure design and practical LMBs applications.

Comparative studies of semiconductor saturable absorber mirror mode-locking dynamics in pulsed diode-end-pumped picosecond Nd:GdVO_4 and Nd:YAG lasers

Ultrashort pulses were generated in passively mode-locked Nd：YAC and Nd：CdVO4 lasers pumped by a pulsed laser diode with 10-Hz repetition rate. Stable mode-locked pulse trains were produced with the pulse width of 10 ps. The evolution of the mode-locked pulse was observed in the experiment and was discussed in detail. Comparing the pulse evolutions of Nd：YAG and Nd：GdVO4 lasers, we found that the buildup time of the steady-state mode-locking with semiconductor saturable absorber mirrors （SESAMs） was relevant to the upper-state lifetime and the emission cross-section of the gain medium.

COF-derived Co nanoparticles@N-doped carbon electrocatalysts for high performance Zn-air batteries

Precise modulation of the structure and composition of electrocatalysts is critical for promoting the kinetically sluggish process of oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Covalent organic frameworks(COF)offer a novel way to create highly efficient electrocatalysts due to their tunable composition,structure and surface ***,we report a high-efficiency bifunctional electrocatalyst comprising Co nanoparticles embedded within N-doped carbons(Co@NCs)for Zn-air batteries(ZABs).The Co@NC is yielded via the coordination of a triazine COF with Co-containing precursors and subsequent calcination under inert *** as-prepared Co@NC exhibits remarkable ORR/OER performance and great potential in rechargeable *** liquid ZAB constructed with Co@NC provides both high specific capacity and power ***,the ZAB exhibits a voltage gap of 0.8 V during discharge and charge cycles and high stability for 220 h compared to the Pt/C-assembled *** strategy for regulating electrocatalytic activities of COF-derived carbon materials could be expanded for creating various carbon catalysts.

Solution of Center-Focus Problem for a Class of Cubic Systems

For a class of cubic systems, the authors give a representation of the n th order Liapunov constant through a chain of pseudo-divisions. As an application, the center problem and the isochronous center problem of a particular system are considered. They show that the system has a center at the origin if and only if the first seven Liapunov constants vanish, and cannot have an isochronous center at the origin.

A New Rational Algebraic Approach to Find Exact Analytical Solutions to a （2＋1）-Dimensional System

In this paper, we present a new rational algebraic approach to uniformly construct a series of exact analytical solutions for nonlinear partial differential equations. Compared with most existing tanh methods and other sophisticated methods, the proposed method not only recovers some known solutions, but also finds some new and general solutions. The solutions obtained in this paper include rational form triangular periodic wave solutions, solitary wave solutions, and elliptic doubly periodic wave solutions. The efficiency of the method can be demonstrated on （2＋1）-dimensional dispersive long-wave equation.

Smith-Purcell free electron laser based on the semi-elliptical resonator

A novel Smith-Purcell （S-P） free electron laser composed of an electron gun, a semi-elliptical resonator, a metallic reflecting grating and a collector, is presented for the first time. This paper studies the characteristics of this device by theoretical analysis and particle-in-cell simulation method. Results indicate that tunable coherent S-P radiation with a high output peak power at millimeter wavelengths can be generated by adjusting the length of the grating period, or adjusting the voltage of the electron beam. The present scheme has the following advantages： the semi-elliptical resonator can reflect all radiation with the emission angle {？ and random azimuthal angles, back onto the electron beam with same-phase and causes the electrons to be modulated, so the output power and efficiency are improved.

Vehicle Active Steering Control Research Based on Two-DOF Robust Internal Model Control

Because of vehicle＇s external disturbances and model uncertainties,robust control algorithms have obtained popularity in vehicle stability *** robust control usually gives up performance in order to guarantee the robustness of the control algorithm,therefore an improved robust internal model control（IMC） algorithm blending model tracking and internal model control is put forward for active steering system in order to reach high performance of yaw rate tracking with certain *** proposed algorithm inherits the good model tracking ability of the IMC control and guarantees robustness to model *** order to separate the design process of model tracking from the robustness design process,the improved 2 degree of freedom（DOF） robust internal model controller structure is given from the standard Youla *** of double lane change maneuver and those of crosswind disturbances are conducted for evaluating the robust control algorithm,on the basis of a nonlinear vehicle simulation model with a magic tyre *** show that the established 2-DOF robust IMC method has better model tracking ability and a guaranteed level of robustness and robust performance,which can enhance the vehicle stability and handling,regardless of variations of the vehicle model parameters and the external crosswind *** between performance and robustness of active steering control algorithm is solved and higher control performance with certain robustness to model uncertainties is obtained.

Normal ordering and antinormal ordering of the operator （fQ＋gP）n and some of their applications

In this paper by virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product （IWOP） of operators and the intermediate coordinate-momentum representation in quantum optics, we derive the normal ordering and antinormal ordering products of the operator （fQ＋gP）n when n is an arbitrary integer. These products are very useful in calculating their matrix elements and expectation values and obtaining some useful mathematical formulae. Finally, the applications of some new identities are given.

Modified SQUID Operator Equation for a Single-Qubit Structure Coupled to a Quantum Resonator

Role of self-inductance in superconducting quantum interference device （SQUID） charge qubit is considered. It is found that when an SQUID charge qubit is coupled to a quantum LC resonator, the SQUID voltage operator equation is modified in accompanying with the modification of operator Faraday equation describing the inductance. It is shown that when the extra energy is applied to the junction, the mean phase will be squeezed according to a damping factor.
