As the scale of federated learning expands,solving the Non-IID data problem of federated learning has become a key challenge of *** existing solutions generally aim to solve the overall performance improvement of all clients;however,the overall performance improvement often sacrifices the performance of certain clients,such as clients with less *** fairness may greatly reduce the willingness of some clients to participate in federated *** order to solve the above problem,the authors propose Ada-FFL,an adaptive fairness federated aggregation learning algorithm,which can dynamically adjust the fairness coefficient according to the update of the local models,ensuring the convergence performance of the global model and the fairness between federated learning *** integrating coarse-grained and fine-grained equity solutions,the authors evaluate the deviation of local models by considering both global equity and individual equity,then the weight ratio will be dynamically allocated for each client based on the evaluated deviation value,which can ensure that the update differences of local models are fully considered in each round of ***,by combining a regularisation term to limit the local model update to be closer to the global model,the sensitivity of the model to input perturbations can be reduced,and the generalisation ability of the global model can be *** numerous experiments on several federal data sets,the authors show that our method has more advantages in convergence effect and fairness than the existing baselines.

Sepsis is responsible for approximately 5.3 million deaths globally each ***,we constructed hierarchical chitin microspheres loaded with MOF-919(Ch/metal–organic frameworks[MOFs])for the rapid and efficient removal of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)in complex blood ***,abun-dant active sites on MOF-919(Sc)also enable a record-high adsorption capacity of 9.56 mg/g in biomass-based adsorbents due to the coordination interactions between endotoxin and MOF-919(Sc).The LPS level of sepsis rabbits was less than 2 EU/mL(clearance rate>95%)after 90-min hemoperfusion,showing no adverse effect on the rabbit ***,compared to the commonly used LPS scrubber Toraymyxin(polymethyl methacrylate),the chitin adsorbent is significantly more cost-effective and environmentally *** prepara-tion strategy for hierarchical porous microspheres offers notable advantages in designability,recyclability,and renewability,providing a new approach to sepsis treatment and promising prospects for the biomedical application of sustainable biomass materials.

A privacy-preserving method for publishing data with multiple sensitive attributes

The overgeneralisation may happen because most studies on data publishing for multiple sensitive attributes(SAs)have not considered the personalised privacy ***,sensitive information disclosure may also be caused by these personalised *** address the matter,this article develops a personalised data publishing method for multiple *** to the requirements of individuals,the new method partitions SAs values into two categories:private values and public values,and breaks the association between them for privacy *** the private values,this paper takes the process of anonymisation,while the public values are released without this *** algorithm is designed to achieve the privacy mode,where the selectivity is determined by the sensitive value frequency and undesirable *** experimental results show that the proposed method can provide more information utility when compared with previous *** theoretic analyses and experiments also indicate that the privacy can be guaranteed even though the public values are known to an *** overgeneralisation and privacy breach caused by the personalised requirement can be avoided by the new method.

SnS_(2)nanoparticles embedded in sulfurized polyacrylonitrile composite fibers for high-performance potassium-ion batteries

Potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)have garnered significant attention as a promising alternative to commercial lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)due to abundant and cost-efficient potassium ***,the large size of potassium ions and the resulting sluggish reaction kinetics present major obstacles to the widespread use of ***,we present a simple method to ingeniously encapsulate SnS_(2)nanoparticles within sulfurized polyacrylonitrile(SPAN)fibers(SnS_(2)@SPAN)for serving as a high-performance PIB *** large interlayer spacing of SnS_(2)provides a fast transport channel for potassium ions during charge–discharge cycles,while the one-dimensional SPAN skeleton offers massive binding sites and shortens the diffusion path for potassium ions,facilitating faster reaction ***,the excellent ductility of SPAN can effectively accommodate the large volume changes that occur in SnS_(2)upon potassium-ion insertion,thereby enhancing the cyclic stability of SnS_(2).Benefiting from the above advantages,the SnS_(2)@SPAN composites exhibit impressive cyclability over 500 cycles at 4 A g−1,with a capacity retention rate close to 100%.This study provides an effective approach for stabilizing high-capacity PIB anode materials with large volume variations.

Role of autoreactive Tc17 cells in the pathogenesis of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis

Background:The pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis(MS)and experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE-an animal model of MS)is primarily mediated by T ***,recent studies have only focused on interleukin(IL)-17-secreting CD4^(+)T-helper cells,also known as Th17 *** study aimed to compare Th17 cells and IL-17-secreting CD8^(+)T-cytotoxic cells(Tc17)in the context of MS/***:Female C57BL/6 mice were immunized with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein peptides 35-55(MOG35-55),pertussis toxin,and complete Freund's adjuvant to establish the EAE animal model.T cells were isolated from the spleen(12-14 days postimmunization).CD4^(+)and CD8^(+)T cells were purified using isolation kit and then differentiated into Th17 and Tc17,respectively,using MOG35-55 and *** secretion levels of interferon-(IFN-γ)and IL-17 were measured via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using cultured CD4^(+)and CD8^(+)T cell *** pathogenicity of Tc17 and Th17 cells was assessed through adoptive transfer(tEAE),with the clinical course assessed using an EAE score(0-5).Hematoxylin and eosin as well as Luxol fast blue staining were used to examine the spinal *** CD8^(+)CD3^(+)and CD4^(+)CD3^(+)cells differentiated into Tc17 and Th17 cells,respectively,were stimulated with MOG35-55 peptide for proliferation ***:The results showed that Tc17 cells(15,951±19855VS.55,709±4196cpm;p<0.050)exhibited a weaker response to highest dose(20μg/mL)MOG35-55 than Th17 ***,this response was not dependent on Th17 *** the 48h stimulation,at the highest dose(20μg/mL)of ***17 cells secreted lower levels of IFN-(280.00±15.00vs.556.67±15.28pg/mL,p<0.050)and IL-17(102.67±5.86 pg/mL vs.288.33±12.58 pg/mL;p<0.050)than Th17 *** patterns were observed for IFN-γsecretion at 96 and ***,Tc17 cell-induced tEAE mice exhibited similar EAE scores to Th17 cell-induced tEAE mice and also showed similar inflammation and demyelinati

To change the situation of shape memory polymers(SMPs)that can only remember very few shapes and enable discretional morphing for practical application,the authors report a reversible stepless multiple SMP derived from ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE).As the crystals of semicrystalline polymers are assembled by those with slightly different melting temperatures,and each type of crystal can remember a single shape,the crystalline region of UHMWPE is allowed to remember plenty of temporary shapes after *** the temperature of the programmed polymer within the melting/crystallization temperature ranges would lead to releasing/recovery of the memorized temporary ***,multiple shape memory effects can be easily realized without an elaborate design of material structure and training process in advance as *** temperaturedependent adjustability of the analog capacitor and soft lens with embedded programmed UHMWPE as actuators,characterized by the continuous/random/proportional responsivity,further reveals the utilization prospects of the controllable reversible stepless discretionary morphing ***,the maximum work density of the programmed UHMWPE is found to be 210 kJ/m_(3),which is more than 10 times of piezoelectric ceramics,so that it can serve as a proof-of-concept mechanical driver for reversibly pumping of ethanediol-droplet upon heating/cooling.

Sodium-tellurium(Na-Te)battery,thanks to high theoretical capacity and abundant sodium source,has been envisaged as one promising battery technology,its practical application yet faces daunting challenges regarding how to mitigate the critical issues of uncontrollable dendrites growth at Na anode and polytellurides shuttling effect at Te *** here report an elaborative design for fabrication of microsphere skeleton nanohybrids with three-dimensional(3D)hierarchical porous carbon loading CeO_(2)quantum dots(CeO_(2)-QDs/HPC),which feature highly favorable properties of sodiophilic and catalysis for hosting sodium and tellurium,*** systematic investigations coupling with first-principle calculations demonstrate the CeO_(2)-QDs/HPC not only offers favorable structure and abundant electrocatalytic sites for facilitating interconversion between Te and NaxTe as a cathode host,but also can function as dendrite inhibitor anode host for reversible sodium electro-plating/*** Na-Te battery exhibits admiring electrochemical performance with an impressive specific capacity of 392 mAh g1,a long cycling stability over 1000 cycles,as well as remarkably high energy density of 192 Wh kg1 based on the total mass of anode and *** proof-of-concept bifunctional host design for active electrode materials can render a new insight and direction to the development of high-performance Na-Te batteries.
