Objective This study used the Distress Assessment and Response Tool(DART)to screen,evaluate,and explore physical symptoms,psychological problems,and social support in patients with cancer pain,with an aim to provide data for the comprehensive care of these patients to improve their quality of *** The DART was used to survey 497 patients with cancer pain who were admitted to the Cancer Center of the First Hospital of jilin university from June 2014 to March *** patients were diagnosed with malignant tumors by clinical,radiological and/or cytological examinations,and were experiencing tumor-related *** study recorded the patient’s somatic symptoms,psychological problems and social support in *** the data were collected,the SPSS 21.0 software was used to perform the statistical analysis,with the significance level set at P<*** In total,82.7%of patients were experiencing mild pain(NRS≤3);of these,29.7%and 15.8%reported depression and anxiety,*** addition,17.3%of patients were experiencing moderate or severe pain(NRS≥4);of these,53.5%and 40.7%reported depression and anxiety,*** was a statistically significant difference in the incidence of anxiety and depression between the two *** Patients with cancer pain,particularly those with moderate-to-severe pain,showed a high incidence of *** addition,they were likely to report physical symptoms,were conscious of poor health conditions,and were prone to have anxiety and *** terms of social support,patients with moderate-to-severe cancer pain should receive substantial support,as they experience work-related and economic concerns and report difficulties in family life and social activities.

The adipose tissue of the body is classified into two types: white adipose tissue and brown adipose tissue;the former is mainly responsible for storing energy and the latter is to produce heat and dissipate energy. Recent research has shown that there is a third type of adipose tissue, namely white adipose tissue browning, i.e., brown adipose tissue existing inside the white adipose tissue. Brown adipose tissue, which is converted from white adipose tissue, is similar to brown adipocytes in function. Browning is one of the important features of lipid metabolism of cancer cachexia. On the one hand, white adipose tissue affects metabolism through increasing the amount of heat consumption after browning, resulting in a decrease in fat;on the other hand, the browning process participates in the process of the occurrence and development of cancer cachexia. Two driving factors, interleukin-6 and parathyroid hormone related protein, play an important role in this browning process. They are secreted by tumor tissue, mainly through the exciting sympathetic nervous system to release norepinephrine, and act on β3 adrenergic receptor of the adipocytes and further activate the the transcription factors which corresponded heat-production gene expression such as uncoupling protein 1 (UCP1), leading to white adipose tissue browning. The browning process is the early event of the occurrence of cancer cachexia and continues throughout the entire process of cancer cachexia. Therefore, early detection of the browning process will facilitate the development of intervention approach, improving the clinical outcome of diagnosis, prevention, and treatment for cancer cachexia.

Mechanical Properties and Electronic Structures of Cotunnite TiO2

Based on the first-principles plane-wave basis pseudopotential calculations, we investigate mechanical properties and electronic structures of the hardest known oxide, cotunnite TiO2. The calculated results show that cotunnite TiO2 has the highest bulk modulus （348 GPa） and hardness （32 GPa） among the high-pressure phases of TiO2, but its mechanical properties are not superior to those of c-BN. Moreover, the high hardness of cotunnite TiO2 can be understood from both the dense crystal structure （high valence electron density and short bond lengths） and the unusual mixtures of covalent and ionic bonding of Ti-O.

发展了一种经济、简单的海蛎壳粉负载的CuCl2异相催化剂OSP-CuCl2,用来催化醛-炔-胺之间的A3偶联反应.OSP-CuCl2容易通过简单的方法从海蛎壳粉以及CuCl2制备,且显示出高的催化活性以及良好的可循环回收性.在微波辅助以及无溶剂条件下,以OSP-CuCl2为催化剂,能够以高产物收率制备出一系列炔胺类化合物.OSP-CuCl2可通过简单的过滤方式进行回收,并至少可循环使用6次.初步放大实验表明,炔胺类化合物能够以150 mmol的规模制备(87%收率).

Mitochondrial dysfunction is a hallmark feature of cellular senescence and organ ***,we asked whether the mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein(MAVS),which is essential for driving antiviral response,also regulates human stem cell *** answer this question,we used CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing and directed differentiation techniques to generate various MAVS-knockout human stem cell *** found that human mesenchymal stem cells(hMSCs)were sensitive to MAVS deficiency,as manifested by accelerated senescence *** uncovered that the role of MAVS in maintaining mitochondrial structural integrity and functional homeostasis depends on its interaction with the guanosine triphosphatase optic atrophy type 1(OPA1).Depletion of MAVS or OPA1 led to the dysfunction of mitochondria and cellular senescence,whereas replenishment of MAVS or OPA1 in MAVS-knockout hMSCs alleviated mitochondrial defects and premature senescence *** together,our data underscore an uncanonical role of MAVS in safeguarding mitochondrial homeostasis and antagonizing human stem cell senescence.

The synovium,a thin layer of tissue that is adjacent to the joints and secretes synovial fluid,undergoes changes in aging that contribute to intense shoulder pain and other joint ***,the mechanism underlying human synovial aging remains poorly ***,we generated a comprehensive transcriptomic profile of synovial cells present in the subacromial synovium from young and aged *** delineating aging-related transcriptomic changes across different cell types and their associated regulatory networks,we identified two subsets of mesenchymal stromal cells(MSCs)in human synovium,which are lining and sublining MSCs,and found that angiogenesis and fibrosis-associated genes were upregulated whereas genes associated with cell adhesion and cartilage development were downregulated in aged ***,the specific cell-cell communications in aged synovium mirrors that of aging-related inflammation and tissue remodeling,including vascular hyperplasia and tissue *** particular,we identified forkhead box O1(FOXO1)as one of the major regulons for aging differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in synovial MSCs,and validated its downregulation in both lining and sublining MSC populations of the aged *** human FOXO1-depleted MSCs derived from human embryonic stem cells,we recapitulated the senescent phenotype observed in the subacromial synovium of aged *** data indicate an important role of FOXO1 in the regulation of human synovial ***,our study improves our understanding of synovial aging during joint degeneration,thereby informing the development of novel intervention strategies aimed at rejuvenating the aged joint.
