Flat Zn deposition at battery anode via an ultrathin robust interlayer

Rechargeable aqueous zinc(Zn)ion batteries(AZIBs)using low-cost and safe Zn metal anodes are considered promising candidates for future grid-scale energy storage systems,but the Zn dendrite problem severely hinders the further prospects of *** Zn depositing behaviors toward horizontal alignment is highly effective and thus has received huge ***,such a strategy is usually based on previous substrate engineering,which requires complex preparation or expensive ***,it is essential to develop a novel solution that can realize horizontally aligned Zn flake deposition via easy operation and low ***,we report an ultrathin and robust Kevlar membrane as the interlayer to mechanically suppress Zn dendrite *** to the randomly distributed flaky dendrites in the control group,the deposited Zn sheets would grow into parallel alignment with the existence of such *** the dendrites are effectively suppressed,Zn||Cu asymmetric,Zn||Zn symmetric,and Zn||MnO_(2)full batteries using Kevlar interlayer deliver significantly improved cycling ***,the Zn||MnO_(2)pouch cell using a Kevlar interlayer delivers stable cycling performance and shows stable operation during multi-angle *** believe this work provides a new possibility for regulating Zn deposition from a crystallographic perspective.

Representations of Code Vertex Operator Superalgebras

We study the representations of code vertex operator superalgebras resulting from a binary linear code which contains codewords of odd weight. We also show that there exists only one set of seven mutually orthogonal conformal vectors with central charge 1/2 in the Hamming code vertex operator superalgebra MH7. Phrthermore, we classify all the irreducible weak MH7-modules.

High-capacity three-party quantum secret sharing with superdense coding

This paper presents a scheme for high-capacity three-party quantum secret sharing with quantum superdense coding, following some ideas in the work by Liuet al （2002 Phys. Rev. A 65 022304） and the quantum secret sharing scheme by Deng et al （2008 Phys. Lett. A 372 1957）. Instead of using two sets of nonorthogonal states, the boss Alice needs only to prepare a sequence of Einstei^Podolsky-l^osen pairs in d-dimension. The two agents Bob and Charlie encode their information with dense coding unitary operations, and security is checked by inserting decoy photons. The scheme has a high capacity and intrinsic efficiency as each pair can carry 21bd bits of information, and almost all the pairs can be used for carrying useful information.

Solution-processed copper nanowire flexible transparent electrodes with PEDOT：PSS as binder, protector and oxide-layer scavenger for polymer solar cells

The easy oxidation and surface roughness of Cu nanowire （NW） films are the main bottlenecks for their usage in transparent conductive electrodes （TCEs）. Herein, we have developed a facile and scaled-up solution route to prepare Cu NW-based TCEs by embedding Cu NWs into pre-coated smooth poly（3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene）：poly（styrenesulfonate）（PEDOT：PSS） films on poly（ethylene terephthalate）（PET） substrates. The so obtained Cu NW- PEDOT：PSS/PET films have low surface roughness （-70 nm in height）, high stability toward oxidation and good flexibility. The optimal TCEs show a typical sheet resistance of 15Ω·sq-1 at high transparency （76% at A = 550 nm） and have been used successfully to make polymer （poly（3-hexylthiophene）：phenyl-C61- butyric acid methyl ester） solar cells, giving an efficiency of 1.4%. The overall properties of Cu NW-PEDOT：PSS/PET films demonstrate their potential application as a replacement for indium tin oxide in flexible solar cells.

The potential application of monolayer MS2(M?Mo,W)as thermoelectric material has been widely studied since the first report of successful ***,their performances are hindered by the considerable band gap and the large lattice thermal conductivity in the pristine 2H *** discoveries of polymorphism in MS2s provide new opportunities for materials *** this work,phonon and electron transport properties of both 2H and 1T0 phases were investigated by first-principle *** is found that upon the phase transition from 2H to 1T0 in MS2,the electron transport is greatly enhanced,while the lattice thermal conductivity is reduced by several *** features lead to a significant enhancement of power factor by one order of magnitude in MoS2 and by three times in ***,the figure of merit can reach up to 0.33 for 1T0eMoS2 and 0.68 for 1T0eWS2 at low *** findings indicate that monolayer MS2 in the 1T0 phase can be promising materials for thermoelectric devices ***,this work demonstrates that phase engineering techniques can bring in one important control parameter in materials design.

A correlation-breaking interleaving of polar codes in concatenated systems

Dear editor,Polar codes, along with a low complexity successive cancellation(SC) decoding, were discovered in [1] by Ar?kan. It is shown in [2] that the bit errors with the SC decoding are correlated. To improve the performance, other decoding techniques [3, 4] and concatenation schemes [5, 6] were studied. In this study, the theoretical aspects of the error correlation are investigated to improve the decoding performance of polar codes. This is the first attempt to utilize the error correlation to improve the performance of polar codes.

High loading carbon nanotubes deposited onto porous nickel yarns by solution imbibition as flexible wire-shaped supercapacitor electrodes

The deposition of active materials directly onto metal wires is a general strategy to prepare wire-shaped electrodes for flexible and wearable energy storage devices. However, it is still a critical challenge to coat active materials onto the aimed metal wires because of their smooth surface and small specific surface area. In this work, high porous nickel yarns（PNYs） was fabricated using commercial nylon yarns as templates through step-wise electroless plating, electroplating and calcination processes. The PNYs are composed of multiplied fibers with hollow tubular structure of 5–10 μm in diameter, allowing the imbibition of carbon nanotubes（CNTs） solution by a facile capillary action process. The prepared CNTs/PNY electrodes showed a typical electrochemical double layer capacitive performance and the constructed allsolid flexible wire-shaped symmetric supercapacitors provided a specific capacitance of 4.67 F/cm3 with good cycling stability at a current density of 0.6 A/cm3.

Let C be a triangulated *** first introduce the notion of balanced pairs in C,and then establish the bijective correspondence between balanced pairs and proper classesξwith enoughξ-projectives andξ-*** thatξ:=ξX=ξ^(Y) is the proper class induced by a balanced pair(X,Y).We prove that(C,Eξ,sξ)is an extriangulated ***,it is proved that(C,Eξ,sξ)is a triangulated category if and only if X=Y=0,and that(C,Eξ,sξ)is an exact category if and only if X=Y=*** an application,we produce a large variety of examples of extriangulated categories which are neither exact nor triangulated.

Stretchable supercapacitor based on a hierarchical PPy/CNT electrode and hybrid hydrogel electrolyte with a wide operating temperature

Hydrogel is frequently used as a solid electrolyte for all solid-state supercapacitors(SCs)because of its liquid-like ion-transport property and high ***,due to the higher water content,the hydrogel electrolyte undergoes inevitable freezing and/or dehydration with climate ***,polypyrrole/carbon all-solid-state SCs(PCSCs)were developed based on a hierarchical polypyrrole/carbon nanotube electrode and a highly stretchable double-network polymer hydrogel electrolyte with LiCl/ethylene glycol as a mixed *** PCSCs showed excellent electrochemical performance and cycle stability with a wide operating *** specific capacitances could reach 202.2 and 112.3 mF cm^(−2) at current densities of 0.5 and 3.0 mA cm^(−2),***,the PCSCs showed outstanding mechanical properties in maintaining a high areal capacitance under deformations of bending and *** excellent water retention of the device also ensured the stable electrochemical performance of PCSCs in a wide temperature range(30–80℃),which could potentially represent a reliable application in various harsh environments.
