Effect of inlet elbow on rotation stall in waterjet ppropulsionpump

To study the influence of an elbow inlet on the rotating stall characteristics of a waterjet propulsion pump(WJPP),a three-dimensional internal flow field in a WJPP under a straight-pipe inlet and elbow inlet is numerically *** comparing the hydraulic performance of WJPP under the two inlet conditions,the internal relationship between the inlet mode and the flow pattern in the pump is *** on unsteady pressure fluctuation characteristics and wavelet analysis,the influence of the inlet mode on the rotating stall is revealed,and the stall transient propagation characteristics under critical stall conditions are *** disturbance effects of the inlet channel geometry disappear under low flow rate conditions,the main disturbance is induced by the highspeed countercurrent,and the flow pattern under the elbow inlet is better than that under the straight-pipe *** the straight-pipe inlet,the single-stall nucleus in the WJPP temporarily experiences a low-frequency and high-amplitude disturbance,which subsequently transforms into a mode of multi-stall nuclei with high-frequency circumferential *** the elbow inlet,the rotating stall always maintains a mode of high-amplitude and low-frequency disturbance,which represents the transient characteristics of a single stall core propagating in the circumferential direction inside the *** results of this study have a reference value for structural design optimization in a WJPP.

As a potential endocrine-disrupting chemical,bisphenol F(BPF)may cause nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)-like changes,but the mechanisms under its pathogenesis as well as the intervention strategies remain *** the electron microscopy technology,along with LipidTOX Deep Red neutral and Bodipy 493/503 staining assays,we observed that BPF treatment elicited a striking accumulation of lipid droplets in HepG2 cells,accompanied by an increased total level of *** the molecular level,the lipogenesis-associated mRNAs and proteins,including acetyl-CoA carboxylase,fatty acid synthase,stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1,peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma,and CCAAT-enhancer-binding proteins,increased significantly via the AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK)-mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)signaling regulation in both in vitro and in vivo ***,the immunofluorescence results also showed the robust lipogenesis induced by BPF,evident in its ability to promote the translocation of sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1c from the cytoplasm to the *** investigate the intervention strategies for BPF-induced NAFLD-like changes,we demonstrated that bellidifolin,isolated and purified from Swertia chirayita,significantly attenuated BPF-induced lipid droplet deposition in HepG2 cells and NAFLD-like changes in mice by blocking the expression of lipogenesis-associated ***,the present study elucidates the mechanisms underlying the BPF-induced lipid accumulation in HepG2 cells,while also highlighting the potential of bellidifolin to mitigate BPF-induced NAFLD-like changes.

Coupling effects of morphology and inner pore distribution on the mechanical response of calcareous sand particles

Calcareous sand is typically known as a problematic marine sediment because of its diverse morphology and complex inner pore ***,the coupling effects of morphology and inner pores on the mechanical properties of calcareous sand particles have rarely been investigated and *** this study,apparent contours and internal pore distributions of calcareous sand particles were obtained by three-dimensional(3D)scanning imaging and X-ray micro-computed tomography(X-mCT),*** was revealed that calcareous sand particles with different outer morphologies have different porosities and inner pore distributions because of their original sources and particle transport *** addition,a total of 120 photo-related compression tests and 4923D discrete element simulations of four specific shaped particles,***,angular,dendritic and flaky,with variations in the inner pore distribution were *** macroscopic particle strength and Weibull modulus obtained from the physical tests are not positively correlated with the porosity or regularity in shape,indicating the existence of coupling effect of particle shape and pore *** shape effect on the particle strength first increases with the porosity and then *** particle crushing of relatively regular particles is governed by the porosity,but that of extremely irregular particles is governed by the particle *** particle strength increases with the uniformity of the pore *** fragmentation is mainly dependant on tensile bond strength,and the degree of tensile failure is considerably impacted by the particle shape but limited by the pore distribution.

Metal porphyrin intercalated reduced graphene oxide nanocomposite utilized for electrocatalytic oxygen reduction

In this paper, we report a simple and facile self-assembly method to successfully fabricate cationic metal porphyrin-MtTMPyP(Mt= Cobalt(Ⅱ), Manganese(Ⅲ), or Iron(Ⅲ); TMPyP = 5, 10, 15, 20-tetrakis(N-methylpyridinium-4-yl) porphyrin) intercalated into the layer of graphene oxide(GO) by the cooperative effects of electrostatic and π-π stacking interaction between positively charged metal porphyrin and negatively charged GO sheets. Followed by reduction with hydrazine vapor, a series of novel 2 D MtTMPyP/rGO_n were fabricated. The as-prepared 2 D hybrids were fully characterized and tested as non-noble metal catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) in an alkaline medium. The MtTMPyP/rGO_n hybrids, especially CoTMPyP/rGO_5, demonstrated an improved electrocatalytic activity for ORR and a number of exchanged electrons close to 4-electron reaction, increased stability and excellent tolerance to methanol, showing a potential alternative catalyst for ORR in fuel cells and air batteries.

For the classical GM(1,1)model,the prediction accuracy is not high,and the optimization of the initial and background values is *** this paper,the Lagrange mean value theorem is used to construct the background value as a variable related to *** the same time,the initial value is set as a variable,and the corresponding optimal parameter and the time response formula are determined according to the minimum value of mean relative error(MRE).Combined with the domestic natural gas annual consumption data,the classical model and the improved GM(1,1)model are applied to the calculation and error comparison *** proves that the improved model is better than any other models.

In this study,a novel approach for nonlinear process identification via neural fuzzy-based Hammerstein-Wiener model with process disturbance by means of multi-signal processing is *** Hammerstein-Wiener model consists of three blocks where a dynamic linear block is sandwiched between two static nonlinear ***-signal sources are designed for achieving identification separation of the Hammerstein-Wiener *** correlation analysis theory is utilized for estimating unknown parameters of output nonlinearity and linear block using separable signals,thus the interference of process disturbance is ***,the immeasurable intermediate variable and immeasurable noise term in identification model is taken over by auxiliary model output and estimate residuals,and then auxiliary model-based recursive extended least squares parameter estimation algorithm is derived to calculate parameters of the input nonlinearity and noise ***,convergence analysis of the suggested identification scheme is derived using stochastic process *** simulation results indicate that proposed identification approach yields high identification accuracy and has good robustness.

Three-body model for neutron-halo nuclei

The neutron-halo nuclei, ^11Li, ^14Be, and ^17B, are studied in the three-body model. The Yukawainteraction is used to describe the interaction of the two-body subsystem. For given parameters ot the twobody interaction, the properties of these neutron-halo nuclei are calculated with the Faddeev equations and the results are compared with those in the variational method. It is shown that the method of the Faddeev equations is more accurate. Then the dependencies of the two- and three-body energies on the parameters are studied. We find numerically that two- and three-body correlations differ greatly from each other with the variation of the intrinsic force range.
