Hepatic carcinoma(HC)is the sixth most frequently occurring malignancies and the third leading cause of cancer death *** bromide(YM155)is a small molecule inhibitor of survivin,which has broad-spectrum anticancer therapeutic effects in various xenograft ***,several-day continuous infusion is required to achieve greater antitumor efficacy because of rapid elimination from the blood ***,a SMMC-7721 cancerous cyto-membrane-cloaked drug delivery system(DDS)(named as iM7721@GQD-YM),was developed for co-encapsulation of YM155 and graphene quantum dots(GQDs).Cytomembrane coating endowed iM7721@GQD-YM with effective targeting for homologous HC cells,excellent biocompatibility and favorable immunocompatibility for in vivo *** decoration of iRGD peptide further enhanced its tumor targeting activity by iRGD-integrin *** addition,under the irradiation of near-infrared ray(NIR),GQDs can directly kill tumors through photothermal effect and cause cell membrane rupture,accurately releasing YM155 at tumor *** physicochemical properties,in vivo and ex vivo anti-tumor efficacy,and mechanisms of iM7721@GQD-YM nanoparticles(NPs)were systematically investigated in this *** experimental results clearly indicate that the versatile biomimetic DDS holds great potential for the treatment of HC,which merits further investigation in both pre-clinical and clinical studies.

The energy transfer and cooperation upconversion processes are investigated in Yb3＋/Er3＋ codoped phos- phate glass. Based on the measured curves of output power versus incident power, the laser and spectroscopic parameters of the glass are fitted and analyzed. We focus on the resonant energy transfer constant k from Yb3＋ to Er3＋ as well as the cooperation upconversion coefficient Cup from 4113/2 of Era＋. The fitted k and Cup can give almost the same results for different thicknesses of glass disk with the same dop- ing concentrations. The determination of these parameters is helpful for the development of Yb3＋/Er3＋ codoped laser glass.

Yb-Er codoped Na2O-Al2O3-P2O5-xSiO2 glasses containing 0 - 20 mol% SiO2 were prepared successfully. The addition of SiO2 to the phosphate glass not only lengthens the bond between pS＋ and non-bridging oxygen but also reduces the number of P=O bond. In contrast with silicate glass in which there is only four-fold coordinated Si4＋, most probably there coexist [SiO4] tetrahedron and [SiO6] oetahedron in our glasses. Within the range of 0 - 20 mol% SiO2 addition, the stimulated emission cross-section of Era＋ ion only decreases no more than 10%. The Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters of Er3＋, Ω2 does not change greatly, but Ω4 and Ω6 decrease obviously with increasing SiO2 addition, because the bond between Er3＋ and O2- is more strongly eovalently bonded.

Tribological interactions between surgical suture and human tissue play an important role in the stitching *** purpose of the paper is to understanding the tribological behavior of surgical suture interacting with artificial skin,with respect to surgical suture material and structure,by means of a capstan experiment approach and a contact area *** results indicated that structure and surface topography of the surgical suture had a pronounced effect on the tribological *** apparent coefficient of friction of vicryl surgical suture was the smallest among the three surgical suture *** the sliding velocity increased,or the applied load decreased,the coefficient of friction ***,stick-slip phenomena were observed during the sliding procedure.

Energy storage and heat deposition in Cr,Yb,Er co-doped phosphate glass were reported. A model based on rate equations was used to determine the energy storage from the free-oscillating output energy characteristics. The heat deposition was calculated by measuring the temperature rise of the glass rod. The results provided important information for the glass operating in Q-switched mode, and also for calculating the temperature profiles and cooling requirements of the glass under single shot and repetitive pulsed conditions.

Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA)is a serious type of sleep disorder that can lead to cardiometabolic and neurocognitive *** utilized smart device-based photoplethysmography technology to collect sleep data from the Chinese population from 2019 to *** lag nonlinear models combined with a generalized nonlinear model or a linear mixed effects model were used to investigate the shortterm associations between daily temperature and indicators of OSA *** included a total of 6,232,056 d of sleep monitoring data from 51,842 participants with moderate to severe risk of OSA from 313 Chinese *** relationships between ambient temperature and OSA exacerbation,apneahypopnea index(AHI),and minimum oxygen saturation(MinSpO_(2))were almost linear and present only on the same *** temperatures were associated with a greater risk of OSA exacerbation,with an 8.4%(95%confidence interval(CI):7.6%–9.3%)increase per 10℃increase in temperature.A 10℃increase in daily temperature corresponded to an AHI increase of 0.70 events/h(95%CI:0.65–0.76)and a MinSpO_(2)decrease of 0.18%(95%CI:0.16%–0.19%).Exposure to elevated temperatures during the night can also lead to adverse *** effects of higher temperatures on OSA severity were stronger among men,participants with a body mass index24 kg/m2,those aged 45 years and older,individuals with a history of hypertension and diabetes,and during the cold *** large-scale,nationwide,longitudinal study provides robust evidence suggesting that higher ambient temperatures may immediately worsen OSA.

This study describes a method that not only generates an automatic and standardized crush injury in the skull base, but also provides investigators with the option to choose from a range of varying pressure revels. We designed an automatic, non-serrated forceps that exerts a varying force of 0 to 100 g and lasts for a defined period of 0 to 60 seconds. This device was then used to generate a crush injury to the right oculomotor nerve of dogs with a force of 10 g for 15 seconds, resulting in a deficit in the pupil-light reflex and ptosis. Further testing of our model with Toluidine-blue staining demonstrated that, at 2 weeks post-surgery disordered oculomotor nerve fibers, axonal loss, and a thinner than normal myelin sheath were visible. Electrophysiological examination showed occasional spontaneous potentials. Together, these data verified that the model for oculomotor nerve injury was successful, and that the forceps we designed can be used to establish standard mechanical injury models of peripheral nerves.
