As one of the most common structural motifs in natural products,cyclopentenones usually can be fabricated by Nazarov cyclization using divinyl ketones or functionalized tertiary divinyl carbinols(TDCs)as ***,straightforward method for transforming unfunctionalized TDCs to their corresponding cyclopentenones is currently ***,we wish to report the total syntheses of four structurally distinct terpenoids,namely laurane-type marine sesquiterpenoids isolaurene,debromoaplysin and aplysin,and guaiane sesquiterpenoid guaiadienone A,all using a novel synthetic method,named oxidative Nazarov cyclization,as the key *** work demonstrated our robust method is suitable for synthesizing various highly substituted cyclopentenones.

Polarization-sensitive photodetection and imaging have great application value in fields such as polarization division multiplexing optical communication,remote sensing,near-field imaging and military *** a high polarization ratio has always been the research hotspot in polarization-sensitive *** this paper,we report a compression strain enhanced polarization ratio inβ-gallium oxide(β-Ga_(2)O_(3))single crystal flake.A rigorous crystallographic analysis confirmed its high crystalline quality and ***-resolved polarization Raman spectroscopy(ARPRS)was adopted to study the anisotropy of its optical *** ARPRS measurements and theoretical calculation consistently demonstrate the strong optical anisotropy in the high-qualityβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)flake.A polarization ratio of 0.96 was obtained in the flatβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)***,mechanical strain of±0.7%was introduced intoβ-Ga_(2)O_(3).An increased polarization ratio of 0.98 was achieved in the case of 0.7%compression strain,which is,to the best of our knowledge,the highest value for UVC polarization-sensitive *** corresponds to an improved polarization rejection ratio of *** work proposed a new path towards improving polarization sensitivity by applying strain engineering in the active material.

Cancer-induced bone pain(CIBP)is a type of ongoing or breakthrough pain caused by a primary bone tumor or bone *** constitutes a specific pain state with distinct characteristics;however,it shares similarities with inflammatory and neuropathic *** present,although various therapies have been developed for this condition,complete relief from CIBP in patients with cancer is yet to be ***,it is urgent to study the mechanism underlying CIBP to develop efficient analgesic ***,we focused on the peripheral mechanism associated with the initiation of CIBP,which involves tissue injury in the bone and changes in the tumor microenvironment(TME)and dorsal root *** nerve–cancer and cancer–immunocyte cross-talk in the TME creates circumstances that promote tumor growth and metastasis,ultimately leading to *** peripheral mechanism of CIBP and current treatments as well as potential therapeutic targets are discussed in this review.

Arsenic， a known environmental carcinogen， disrupts intestinal homeostasis， posing a significant threat to human health. Mitigating its toxic effects is crucial， and this study explores the potential of swim bladder sulfated glycosaminoglycan (SBSG) in achieving this. Our previous in vitro studies have shown SBSG to ameliorate arsenic-induced damage in intestinal epithelial cells， but its in vivo effects remain elusive. The current investigation demonstrates that SBSG exhibits a beneficial prebiotic action in vivo， regulating gut microbiota， metabolites， and intestinal barrier function to counter arsenic's adverse effects. Specifically， SBSG regulates microbiota composition， suppressing pathogenic species like Alistipes and Candidatus＿Saccharimonas while promoting beneficial ones such as Ruminococcus and Akkermansia. In the colon， SBSG fermentation enhances the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs)， leading to upregulation of GPR43， GPR109A， and Olfr78 receptors. Additionally， SBSG strengthens the intestinal barrier by increasing the expression of Claudin-1， Occludin， and ZO-1， and enhances mucin gene expression (MUC-1 and MUC-2) to address chemical barrier disruptions. Immunologically， SBSG modulates the RORγt/Foxp-3 pathway and the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling cascade， regulating the immune barrier. These findings suggest that SBSG could be a promising prebiotic candidate for maintaining intestinal health and may serve as a dietary supplement or adjunct in heavy metal detoxification therapies.

Transition metal-catalyzed asymmetric transfer hydrogenation has been proven to be a powerful approach for the synthesis of chiral ***,a highly efficient and enantioselective transfer hydrogenation of dibenzoheptaheterocyclic ketones catalyzed by an arene-tethered TsDPEN-based Rh(ll)catalyst has been successfully developed,and a variety of dibenzoheptaheterocyclic ketones were reduced by a 1/1 mixture of formic acid and DBU(1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene)with high yields and *** this method,the asymmetric reduction of 7,8-difluorodibenzo[b,e]thiepin-11(6H)-one has been realized,providing the key intermediate of baloxavir marboxil with>99% yield and>99% ee at a substrate/catalyst molar ratio of 1000.

Early insulin therapy is capable to achieve glycemic control and restoreβ-cell function in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes(T2D),but its effect on cardiovascular outcomes in these patients remains *** this nationwide real-world study,we analyzed electronic health record data from 19 medical centers across China between 1 January 2000,and 26 May *** included 5424 eligible patients(mean age 56 years,2176 women/3248 men)who were diagnosed T2D within six months and did not have prior cardiovascular *** Cox regression models were used to estimate the associations of early insulin therapy(defined as the first-line therapy for at least two weeks in newly diagnosed T2D patients)with the incidence of major cardiovascular events including coronary heart disease(CHD),stroke,and hospitalization for heart failure(HF).During 17,158 persons years of observation,we documented 834 incident CHD cases,719 stroke cases,and 230 hospitalized cases for *** diagnosed T2D patients who received early insulin therapy,compared with those who did not receive such treatment,had 31%lower risk of incident stroke,and 28%lower risk of hospitalization for *** significant difference in the risk of CHD was *** found similar results when repeating the aforesaid analysis in a propensity-score matched population of 4578 patients and with inverse probability of treatment weighting *** findings suggest that early insulin therapy in newly diagnosed T2D may have cardiovascular benefits by reducing the risk of incident stroke and hospitalization for HF.

Tourmaline is a common borosilicate mineral in granite and pegmatite， and it is also an important carrier to record the physicochemical evolution information of magmas. However， the genetic relationship between pegmatite-type rare metal mineralization potential and tourmaline-bearing pegmatites is not clear， and the tourmaline geochemical indication of the mineralization type of rare metals needs to be supplemented. In the middle Altun region， extensive tourmaline-bearing pegmatite dykes are prevalent within and surrounding the Tugeman complex. In this paper， the petrology and geochemical characteristics of tourmaline within the pegmatite of the Tugeman Be-Li deposit have been comprehensively analyzed. The research delves into the genetic evolution and metallogenic potential of the pegmatite， emphasizing the indicative role of tourmaline geochemistry in discerning mineralization types in the Tugeman Be-Li deposit. Major and trace element analysis of tourmaline reveals varying contents of FeO （9.37 wt.%–17.10 wt.%）， Al2O3（28.64 wt.%–35.22% wt.%）， and MgO （0.13 wt.%–2.47 wt.%） in the Tugeman Be–Li pegmatite. Li， Zn， and Sn contents range from 204 ppm to 1 590 ppm， 1 143 ppm to 4 089 ppm， and 74 ppm to 396 ppm， respectively. The tourmaline analyzed in this study is magmatic origin and belongs to schorl series， exhibits substitution relationships， including (Na， Fe2+)(X□， Al)-1， (Fe2+， Fe3+)（Mg， Al）-1， (Al，X□)(R2+， Na)-1，（Na， Mg）(X□， Al)-1andX□NaR2+-1. The trace element data of tourmaline show that lithium has four enrichment stages in different mineral crystallization phases. Notably， the tendency of tourmaline in the Tugeman Be-Li pegmatite to evolve towards elbaite implies a magmatic evolution sequence from low to high， transitioning through microcline-albite pegmatite， muscovite-microcline-albite pegmatite， albite pegmatite， and microcline pegmatite. (Ni,Sb)-co-doped rutile yellow ceramic pigments were synthesized via a mechanical activation-assisted solid-state reaction in a stirred bead *** effects of mechanical grinding of the raw materials on the synthesis of (Ni,Sb)-co-doped rutile pigment were *** results show that mechanical activation effectively decreased the crystallinity of the mixed precursors,thus enhancing their reactivity and the migration rate of *** effects lowered the temperature required for formation of the rutile *** with results from a mixture of separately ground precursors,the mixture of raw materials ground together was more effective for accelerating nickel/antimony ions doping into the TiO2structure and improved the color performance of the *** pigment from the mixed raw materials ground for 2.0h and heat-treated at 1100℃ could be used as an environmentally-friendly ceramic yellow pigment owing to its low-toxicity,bright yellow hue,good chemical/thermal durability, and high cost-effectiveness.
